From North Side Ward: Vakkachan Puthukulam, the man with nine lives, selected himself as the parish council member. The selection was conducted during the prayer meeting at the mansion of Mr Alex Puthuvelil.
How could Alex let this happen? We have no idea. There was a rumour it was going to be Johnson Malieckal. But you see, Johnson is really wishy-washy, undependable. He failed to take a strong stand against bishop's sheela. He has his feet in two boats at the same time. Actually his whole clan is out. From now on they are only good to pass the collection basket during the mass.
Church Ward selected a young blood, Tony Thevalakkara. Problem is, he hasn't paid a dime in his name to the church. The young man, almost 27, and is a High School teacher and pulls in more money than the average achayan. Achan has been roaring for weeks like a lion, that only those who paid all dues to the church could be anybody in the church! This young man is registered in the church under his daddy who pays the dues (hopefully), yet, he has no qualms in selecting himself parish council member. But then, loyalty and servility to the authorities count more than principles.
Another interesting tug of war is in St Vincent de Paul Society. There, the fight is between Joychan Puthukkulam, who does the church publicity for his own publicity's sake and the unforgettable Paul Parambi, who thinks he could have been a Congress MLA if he were not stuck in the lousy USA. It is no secret Joychan played some games with Society funds. Most members of the Society hates him. Achan hates him. But his skin is as thick as patent leather. The alternative for these two being Lazar, some forces, with Achan's complicity, is trying to bring in Mr. Trustworthy, Roy Thomas himself.
From Naperville Ward Paulson Kaiprampat. We have to give it to Fr Antony for being shrewd. He does not want to pack the whole council with people from Pala and Changanacherry. So he adds a couple of stooges from Northern Dioceses. One of them, of course, is Roy Thachil. Now here is the second one. This way nobody can complain that northern dioceses are not represented. Do not misunderstand us, Paulson is a nice guy, we have no problem with him. But we have never seen him open his mouth. Is it so that nothing stupid falls out of his mouth?
The first time we heard about this gentle man was when he suddenly became the Mega showman during the Cathedral inauguration. How he and his Mrs. secured this most coveted prime time for his Mega Show is any body's guess.
A reminder to Achan: Members of Northen Kerala dioces would have preferred any decent person from any dioces in Kerala to the utterly stupid, unprincipled, spineless and ignorant idiots like Roy and Paulson.

Some Latest "Selection" Results
Most of our usual suspects have managed to get themselves selected to the Parish Council from various Wards.
In the Far South Ward, Roy Thachil begged and pleaded his way into the council. Now here is a man totally devoid of shame. He was a member of the so-called Cor Committee, who worked as an enabler for the church authorities to suck the precious blood out of this community. Moreover he betrayed the Syro-Malabarians of Northern Kerala by keeping silent when the insane bishop Angadiath distroyed the unity of this community by installing his ridiculous curtain and claver cross. His skin is thicker than the skin of Ankamali Pork. He sold his soul to the corrupt and power hungry bishop long time ago. As a reward he managed to get his daughter on stage in the Vatican on the occasion of the canonization of St. Alphonsa. Such are the cheap rewards for which people like him betray the trust of their community. We believe the members of the Far South Ward deserved a better man to represent them in the Council. There are many talented, able and dedicated young men who could have represented that ward. But we hear this idiot volunteered himself and begged for the chance. We were told the decency of the members of this ward did not permit them to humiliate him by turning him down.

Parish Council "Selection" Update- in SMCC Ammayi-Achamma Proxy War

Two indefatigable icons of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Bellwood, are waging a bitter proxy war in the selection of the president of SMCC, who also has a seat in the Parish Council. One is the self-proclaimed Ammayi of all Syro-Malabarians, Mrs. Kathrikkutty and the other, the more subdued Mrs. Achamma. Mrs. Kathrikkutty, with the blessing of the parish priest, Fr Antony, is sponsoring and supporting the unforgettable Chandu Pottu, while Mrs. Achamma's favourite candidate is Mr. Joshi Vallikkalam. Needless to say both Chandu Pottu and Vallikkalam belonged to the immediate past, utterly spineless, parish council too.
Ammayi and her husband Vakkachan are known as the albatross duo of Syro-Malabar Church in Chicago. They have always managed to cling to positions of authority one way or other. They have a knack to put the priest in charge of the parish, whoever he is, including Fr Antony, in place, by their sheer chutzpah.
As far as the battle in SMCC is concerned, Ammayi is in the arena after taking a terrible dribbing in Chicago East Ward. There, her favourite candidate, her cousin Chackochan (surprise!!!) lost by lot to the incredible Pothan Vallikkalam. Pothan could be a pain in the ass for authorities, but his wife, Beena, has been a favourite of Fr. Antony's. The vicar can pray hard that Beena can put a zipper to her husband's loose mouth.
Coming back to the SMCC issue, SM Voice has learned, Ms. Chandu Pottu has tried to gain more votes by enrolling some new members in the organization, who are more likely to vote for him for the position of president. He is a darling of the bishop. A pet, really. He is a back scratcher of the vicar too. There is no question the authorities want Chandu Pottu in the new Parish Council.
As matters stand right now, it seems Ammayi is going to lose this battle too. The people are so fed up with her and her husband's shenanigans. And needless to say this strange character, Chandu Pottu, is in our radar too. We can now confidently disclose Mr. Pottu is one of the many who misused the Syro-Malabar Tax ID.
Fr. Antony and Ammayi have been constantly trying to ram their favourite candidates down the throat of Syro-Malabarians during this "selection" season. It has been a shameless display of official misconduct unbecoming any one, much less a man, supposedly, of God.
Mrs. Agnes has been running around like crazy, cooing to anyone willing to listen, she is the chosen one by the vicar to be in the parish council. We believe it. Stranger things have happened.

The Parking Issue Heats Up in the Bitter Cold

It is no secret the parking situation in our church is going to be a thorn on the side of church authorities for a long, long time. But how quickly this issue can turn ugly was clear in an incident that happened la
st Sunday.
This is what happened: Mr. Kunjumon, proprietor of Lovely Jewellers, comes to 8:30 mass, hoping to get to his business by opening time. He parks his vehicle properly in a legal parking space. After mass, to his great dismay, he finds his vehicle blocked, and boxed in by illegally parked cars. No one came to remove the illegally parked car, even after repeated announcements. Needless to say he was stuck at the parking lot till about 11:15. Understandably this really upset Mr. Kunjumon, and in no time he is hopping mad and cursing everybody.
The strangest thing was the announcement that was made by the Acchan regarding this. He warned the people against parking in spaces reserved for the clergy! Yes, clergy. For example he says Fr. Roy had a hard time finding a parking space that day.
Poor Fr. Roy! He is young and healthy. Why shouldn't he leave his car at the bishop's house and walk to the chu
rch? He ain't doing anything for exercise except flapping his big mouth. He can use his long tongue as walking stick in the snow!
While Acchan warned the faithful against parking in spaces reserved for the clergy, did he say anything about other illegal parkers? What about those who park illegally in Handicapped only area? What about those who park illegally blocking the fire line? No. Nothing. Frankly more than half of the cars in our church parking lot on a given Sunday is parked illegally! It is a shame!
Yet honestly, we cannot blame anyone who parks illegally in our church parking lot. Because, as we have been saying for ever, there aren't enough parking spaces in our church. We have young parents with small children and babies. We have senior citizens. We have people with ill h
ealth. We have handicapped people. Where do the authorities want these people to park? In the bishop's god forsaken parking lot at 5544 St Charles Road and walk? God forbid, if there is an emergency in our church! That is when somebody is going to pay very dearly. Now, do anyone of you believe all this comes as a big surprise to the authorities? No. They knew this. They manipulated the Village Codes for their convenience. The authories simply count on you to put up with this. They very well know we will. Except, do not park in spaces reserved for the clergy. To hell with families with small babies, senior citizens and handicapped!

സീറോ മലബാറില് എന്തോ ചീഞ്ഞു നാറുന്നു...
ഇപ്പോള് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയാന് പോകുന്ന പരിഷ് കൌണ്സില് അംഗങ്ങള്, അവര് പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച സീറോ ഇടവക അംഗങ്ങളോട് ഉത്തര വാദിത്വപരമായി നീതി പുലര്ത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്ഷങ്ങളിലെ അവരുടെ പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള് പലതും പൊതു ജനവിരുദ്ധവും, ഇടവകക്ക് ഹാനികരവുമാണ്. സ്വാര്ത്ഥ താല്പര്യങ്ങളും അനാവശ്യമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയവും മാറ്റി വച്ച്, പൊതുജന താല്പര്യങ്ങള്ക്കായി മാത്രം മുന്തൂക്കം കൊടുത്ത് , നിഷ്പക്ഷമായ തീരുമാനങ്ങള് എടുക്കേണ്ട അടിയന്തിര ഘട്ടങ്ങളില് അധികാരികളുടെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാതിക്കുവാന് വേണ്ടി അവര് പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ പലപ്പോഴും നേര്ച്ചക്കോഴികളാക്കി. കാര്യ സാധ്യത്തിനായി അധികാരികള് പമ്പര വിഡ്ഢികളായ ഈ കൌണ്സില് അംഗങ്ങളെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഉദാഹരണങ്ങള് നിരവധിയാണ്.
നമ്മുടെ സീറോ മലബാര് ഇടവകയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഇപ്പോള് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയാന് തയ്യാറാകുന്ന കൌണ്സിലിന്റെ ഭരണ കാലം സംഭവ ബഹുലമായിരുന്നു. മില്യണ് കണക്കിന് ഡോളര് മുടക്കിയ ഒരു ദേവാലയ നിര്മ്മാണം ഈ കൌണ്സിലിന്റെ കാലയളവില് നടന്നു. ഇടവകയില് അസമാധാനവും, ഇടര്ച്ചയും, പിളര്പ്പുമുണ്ടായ പല പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങളും ഈ കാലയളവില് തന്നെയാണ് നമ്മുടെ പള്ളിയില് നടപ്പിലാക്കപ്പെട്ടത് . മെത്രാന്റെയും വികാരിയുടെയും അധികാര ദുര്വിനിയോഗത്തിനെതിരെ സ്വരമുയര്ത്തുവാന് കൌണ്സിലിലെ ഒറ്റക്കുഞ്ഞും മുമ്പോട്ട് വന്നില്ല. മറിച്ചു, അധികാരികളുടെ ദുഷ്ക്രിയകള്ക്ക് പൊതുജന സമ്മിതിയുടെ നിറക്കൂട്ട് നല്കുവാനുള്ള റബ്ബര് സ്റ്റാമ്പുകളായി പല അംഗങ്ങളും തരം താഴ്ന്നു. സ്വന്തം നിലനില്പ്പിനും, അധികാരികളുടെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാതിക്കുവാനുമായി ഇവരില് പലരും നവയുഗത്തിലെ യൂദാസുമാരായി മാറി. കൂര്മ്മ ബുദ്ധികളായ സഭാധികാരികള് ഇവരുടെ വിവരക്കേടും, അധികാരക്കൊതി തുടങ്ങിയ ബലഹീനതകളും ശരിക്കും മുതലെടുക്കുകയും അവരെ വെറും മരപ്പാവകളായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഹിറ്റ്ലറിന്റെ കാലത്ത് യഹൂദരെ അമര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുവാന് നാസികള് ഉപാധിയാക്കിയത് യഹൂദ പ്രമാണിമാരെത്തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. concentration camp കളില് യഹൂദരെ ഒതുക്കി നിറുത്താനും, എന്തിന്, ചൂള മുറിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കാനും നാസികള് ഉപയോഗിച്ചത് ഒപ്പം തടങ്ങലിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന യഹൂദ നേതാക്കന്മാരെയായിരുന്നു. അല്പം നല്ല ഭക്ഷണവും, മറ്റു ചെറിയ വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചകളും ഒരു പക്ഷെ തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവന് രക്ഷിക്കാംഎന്നുമുള്ള സ്വാര്ഥ ചിന്തയുമാണ് അവരെ ഇതിന് പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്. നമ്മുടെ സഭാധികാരികളും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് നാസികളുടെ ബുക്കില് നിന്നും ഒരു പേജ് കടമെടുക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഉദാഹരണം: കര്ട്ടന്, ക്ലാവര് കുരിശ് പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങള് പുതിയ ദേവാലയത്തില് നടപ്പാക്കാന് വടക്കന് രൂപതകളില് നിന്നുള്ള ഇടവകക്കാരില് നിന്നും തടസ്സമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നു മുന്കൂട്ടി കണ്ട അധികാരികള് പള്ളി പണിയുടെ പ്രധാന ഉത്തര വാദിത്വങ്ങള് വടക്കന് രൂപതക്കാരെ തന്നെയാണ് ഏല്പ്പിച്ചത്. നാലുപേര് അംഗങ്ങളായിരുന്ന കോര് കമ്മിറ്റിയില്, മൂന്നു പേരും വടക്കരായിരുന്നു. അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനമാനക്കൊതിയെ മുതലെടുത്ത് അധികാരികള് കാര്യം കാണുകയായിരുന്നു.
പൊതുജന താല്പര്യങ്ങളെ ബലികഴിച്ച്, അധികാരികളെ പ്രീതിപ്പെടുതാനായി ഇവര് നിയമലംഘനങ്ങള് വരെ നടത്തിയിട്ടില്ലേ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള് സംശയിക്കുന്നു. പള്ളിയുടെ സീറ്റിംഗ് കപ്പാസിറ്റിയെപ്പറ്റി ഇവര് ജനങ്ങളെ തെറ്റി ധരിപ്പിച്ചു. ആവശ്യത്തിന് വണ്ടി പാര്ക്ക് ചെയ്യാന് ഇടമില്ല എന്നത് മറ്റൊരു സത്യം. തകര്ന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഇന്നത്തെ സാമ്പത്തിക സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില്, ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മനുഷ്യര് തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മയെ നേരിടുന്ന ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തില്, ഭീമമായ ഒരു കടവായ്പ ഇവിടുത്തെ പാവപ്പെട്ട ജനങ്ങളുടെ മേല് അടിപ്പിച്ചെല്പ്പിക്കാന് കൂട്ട് നിന്ന ഇവര് ചെയ്തത് കടുത്ത ജനവഞ്ചനയല്ലേ? ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ജനദ്രോഹപരമായ നടപടികള് ഇനിയും തുടരാനല്ലേ അധികാരികള് ഇപ്പോഴും ശ്രമിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതിനാണല്ലോ പുതിയ കൌന്സിലിലേക്ക് എലെക്ഷന് പകരം സെലെക്ഷന് വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്?
നിഷ്പക്ഷമായി പറഞ്ഞാല് ഇപ്പോള് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയുന്ന കൌണ്സിലിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പരാജയം ദേവാലയ നിര്മ്മാണത്തിന്റെ കണക്കുകള് പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ ഇതുവരെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നതാണ്. ഇതു കരുതിക്കൂട്ടിയുള്ള ഒരു നീക്കമല്ലേ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള് സംശയിക്കുന്നു. ഈ മാസം സൂത്രത്തില് അവര് പടിയിറങ്ങിയാല് അടുത്ത മാസം അവര് നമ്മെ കൈ മലര്ത്തിക്കാണിക്കും. കണക്കുകളെല്ലാം വരുന്ന കൌണ്സിലിനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു വരുത്തി ജനങ്ങളെ അവര് വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കും . പുതിയ കൌന്സിലാകട്ടെ "ഞങ്ങളൊന്നുമറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ രാമാ നാരായണ" എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു വീണ്ടും ജനങ്ങളെ വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കും.
അധികാര ദുര്വിനിയോഗത്തിന് തങ്ങള്ക്കു കൂട്ട് നിന്നവരെ രക്ഷപെടുത്താന്, അവര്ക്കു സ്വന്തം തടി രക്ഷിക്കുവാന് വേണ്ടി അധികാരികള് പിന് വാതില് തുറന്നിട്ടുകൊടുക്കും എന്നതിന് രണ്ടു പക്ഷമില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെയാണ് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയും മുമ്പ് പള്ളിക്കണക്കുകള് ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുമ്പില് ഹാജരാക്കുവാന് നമ്മള് ശക്തമായി ആവശ്യപ്പെടേണ്ടത്. ഇത് സഭാ വിരുദ്ധ പ്രവര്ത്തനമായി ചിത്രീകരിക്കാന് തല്പ്പര കക്ഷികള് തീര്ച്ചയായും ശ്രമിക്കും. ന്യായമായ കാര്യങ്ങള്ക്കുപോലും ശബ്ദമുയര്ത്തുന്നവരെ ഇങ്ങനെ താറടിക്കുവാന് സഭാധികാരികള് എന്നും ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല് ഇതില് ഭയപ്പെടാതെ ന്യായമായ കാര്യങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ശബ്ദമുയര്തുവാനുള്ള ധാര്മിക ധൈര്യം നമ്മള് ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി കാണിക്കേണ്ട സമയം അതിക്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അല്ലാത്ത പക്ഷം ഇതിലും വലിയ കടക്കെണിയിലേയ്ക്കും, കെടുതിയിലെയ്ക്കുമായിരിക്കും ഈ വരുന്ന പുതിയ കൌണ്സിലും അധികാരികളുമടങ്ങിയ അവിശുദ്ധ കൂട്ട് കെട്ട് ഈ സമൂഹത്തെ നയിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനസമൂഹം അധികാരികളോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയാണ്: പള്ളിക്കണക്കില് തിരിമറിയില്ലെങ്കില് അത് പുറത്താകാന് എന്തിന് ഭയപ്പെടണം? ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഭരണകൂടം സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയും മുമ്പ് കണക്കുകള് പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്ന ന്യായമായ ആവശ്യം ഞങ്ങള് ഉന്നയിക്കുകയാണ്. അല്ലാത്ത പക്ഷം അത് പൊതുജനങ്ങളില് നിന്നും ഒളിച്ചു വയ്ക്കാന് തക്ക എന്തോ രഹസ്യകാരണങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഈ സമൂഹം ധരിക്കുന്നതില് തെറ്റുണ്ടോ?
വെറുതെ വലിച്ചു നീട്ടിയാല് ജനങ്ങള് അങ്ങ് മറന്നു പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളും എന്ന് വ്യാമോഹിക്കേണ്ട. ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ വിയര്പ്പിന്റെ വിലയായ ഓരോ ചില്ലിക്കാശിന്റെയും കണക്കുകള് ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുമ്പില് നിങ്ങള് എണ്ണി എണ്ണി തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടി വരും.
നമ്മുടെ സീറോ മലബാര് ഇടവകയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഇപ്പോള് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയാന് തയ്യാറാകുന്ന കൌണ്സിലിന്റെ ഭരണ കാലം സംഭവ ബഹുലമായിരുന്നു. മില്യണ് കണക്കിന് ഡോളര് മുടക്കിയ ഒരു ദേവാലയ നിര്മ്മാണം ഈ കൌണ്സിലിന്റെ കാലയളവില് നടന്നു. ഇടവകയില് അസമാധാനവും, ഇടര്ച്ചയും, പിളര്പ്പുമുണ്ടായ പല പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങളും ഈ കാലയളവില് തന്നെയാണ് നമ്മുടെ പള്ളിയില് നടപ്പിലാക്കപ്പെട്ടത് . മെത്രാന്റെയും വികാരിയുടെയും അധികാര ദുര്വിനിയോഗത്തിനെതിരെ സ്വരമുയര്ത്തുവാന് കൌണ്സിലിലെ ഒറ്റക്കുഞ്ഞും മുമ്പോട്ട് വന്നില്ല. മറിച്ചു, അധികാരികളുടെ ദുഷ്ക്രിയകള്ക്ക് പൊതുജന സമ്മിതിയുടെ നിറക്കൂട്ട് നല്കുവാനുള്ള റബ്ബര് സ്റ്റാമ്പുകളായി പല അംഗങ്ങളും തരം താഴ്ന്നു. സ്വന്തം നിലനില്പ്പിനും, അധികാരികളുടെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാതിക്കുവാനുമായി ഇവരില് പലരും നവയുഗത്തിലെ യൂദാസുമാരായി മാറി. കൂര്മ്മ ബുദ്ധികളായ സഭാധികാരികള് ഇവരുടെ വിവരക്കേടും, അധികാരക്കൊതി തുടങ്ങിയ ബലഹീനതകളും ശരിക്കും മുതലെടുക്കുകയും അവരെ വെറും മരപ്പാവകളായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഹിറ്റ്ലറിന്റെ കാലത്ത് യഹൂദരെ അമര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുവാന് നാസികള് ഉപാധിയാക്കിയത് യഹൂദ പ്രമാണിമാരെത്തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. concentration camp കളില് യഹൂദരെ ഒതുക്കി നിറുത്താനും, എന്തിന്, ചൂള മുറിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കാനും നാസികള് ഉപയോഗിച്ചത് ഒപ്പം തടങ്ങലിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന യഹൂദ നേതാക്കന്മാരെയായിരുന്നു. അല്പം നല്ല ഭക്ഷണവും, മറ്റു ചെറിയ വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചകളും ഒരു പക്ഷെ തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവന് രക്ഷിക്കാംഎന്നുമുള്ള സ്വാര്ഥ ചിന്തയുമാണ് അവരെ ഇതിന് പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്. നമ്മുടെ സഭാധികാരികളും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് നാസികളുടെ ബുക്കില് നിന്നും ഒരു പേജ് കടമെടുക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഉദാഹരണം: കര്ട്ടന്, ക്ലാവര് കുരിശ് പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങള് പുതിയ ദേവാലയത്തില് നടപ്പാക്കാന് വടക്കന് രൂപതകളില് നിന്നുള്ള ഇടവകക്കാരില് നിന്നും തടസ്സമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നു മുന്കൂട്ടി കണ്ട അധികാരികള് പള്ളി പണിയുടെ പ്രധാന ഉത്തര വാദിത്വങ്ങള് വടക്കന് രൂപതക്കാരെ തന്നെയാണ് ഏല്പ്പിച്ചത്. നാലുപേര് അംഗങ്ങളായിരുന്ന കോര് കമ്മിറ്റിയില്, മൂന്നു പേരും വടക്കരായിരുന്നു. അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനമാനക്കൊതിയെ മുതലെടുത്ത് അധികാരികള് കാര്യം കാണുകയായിരുന്നു.
പൊതുജന താല്പര്യങ്ങളെ ബലികഴിച്ച്, അധികാരികളെ പ്രീതിപ്പെടുതാനായി ഇവര് നിയമലംഘനങ്ങള് വരെ നടത്തിയിട്ടില്ലേ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള് സംശയിക്കുന്നു. പള്ളിയുടെ സീറ്റിംഗ് കപ്പാസിറ്റിയെപ്പറ്റി ഇവര് ജനങ്ങളെ തെറ്റി ധരിപ്പിച്ചു. ആവശ്യത്തിന് വണ്ടി പാര്ക്ക് ചെയ്യാന് ഇടമില്ല എന്നത് മറ്റൊരു സത്യം. തകര്ന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഇന്നത്തെ സാമ്പത്തിക സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില്, ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മനുഷ്യര് തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മയെ നേരിടുന്ന ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തില്, ഭീമമായ ഒരു കടവായ്പ ഇവിടുത്തെ പാവപ്പെട്ട ജനങ്ങളുടെ മേല് അടിപ്പിച്ചെല്പ്പിക്കാന് കൂട്ട് നിന്ന ഇവര് ചെയ്തത് കടുത്ത ജനവഞ്ചനയല്ലേ? ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ജനദ്രോഹപരമായ നടപടികള് ഇനിയും തുടരാനല്ലേ അധികാരികള് ഇപ്പോഴും ശ്രമിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതിനാണല്ലോ പുതിയ കൌന്സിലിലേക്ക് എലെക്ഷന് പകരം സെലെക്ഷന് വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്?
നിഷ്പക്ഷമായി പറഞ്ഞാല് ഇപ്പോള് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയുന്ന കൌണ്സിലിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പരാജയം ദേവാലയ നിര്മ്മാണത്തിന്റെ കണക്കുകള് പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ ഇതുവരെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നതാണ്. ഇതു കരുതിക്കൂട്ടിയുള്ള ഒരു നീക്കമല്ലേ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള് സംശയിക്കുന്നു. ഈ മാസം സൂത്രത്തില് അവര് പടിയിറങ്ങിയാല് അടുത്ത മാസം അവര് നമ്മെ കൈ മലര്ത്തിക്കാണിക്കും. കണക്കുകളെല്ലാം വരുന്ന കൌണ്സിലിനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു വരുത്തി ജനങ്ങളെ അവര് വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കും . പുതിയ കൌന്സിലാകട്ടെ "ഞങ്ങളൊന്നുമറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ രാമാ നാരായണ" എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു വീണ്ടും ജനങ്ങളെ വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കും.

The ward from roy thachil came,they could not get any one. ammayi and husband are trying to get in the council, no good franchi from skokie, old granpa chackochan (who don't even come to bellwood),and many others who are ammayi people are waiting, not letting any other people who want to work, get in the council. They just want to make it ammayi union. Is antonyachan interested in anyone? But why the lady agnes, the nightingale from chicago is running around telling antony achan want "me" in the council. Any ideas?the council needs hardworking, independent minded people. Not just to sit in meetings.

Some of the speeches of Fr. Antony are below average and he is deliberately neglecting the parishioners.
As per Fr. Antony the permanent Vicar of SMC Chicago, the modern time Judas of the SMC Chicago, proclaimed about the new parish council membeers' qualifications. The vicar’s comment also reflected to a point that the church received huge sum of money from other source (may be from Vatican).According to Fr Antony:
1. They need to know how to make coffee. (nice idea)
2. They need to know how to help people in the parking lot. (nice idea)
3. Fr. Antony does not need any help from these guys inside the church.
Fr. Antony also mentioned that even without the help of പരിഷിഒനെര്സ്' support he can survive. The Parishopners' money and their effort are being diverted for human trafficking to US by bringing selected priests to USA. If the Bishop is going to follow his old biased tactics by bringing his own diocesan priests and thus not fulfilling common interest of SMC in Chicago, he will be going to suffer and need to pay high price for his wrong doings. - Anonymous said...
I am a church member I say, impeach the Bishop
Bishop Angadiath and his team needed to be impeached through Canon law for his wrong doing. There are many impure substances in our church. Our church’s authorities are corrupt; they spoiled our community’s unity.
Salt is not just a seasoning! We are not to be just sitting in a pew with our correct doctrine and never doing anything with it. As salt is needed and put to use, so are you and our church are needed and need to be put to use. Pure salt never loses its flavor unless it is diluted with impure substances. So we must be careful not to be influenced by the people we are called to flavor and light.
Salt preserves, so we are to preserve not only our own faith but others as well. That means we are to deter the corruption in our church by being examples and leaders of action and involvement with virtue and morality, tempered with love and care. As Salt we are to help make the church more livable and manageable to know God, and to help others. It can even mean we are to take the wickedness away from the church to please His wrath (Christ role is the ultimate wrath appeaser).

Yes, our Chicago Syro MASS is a mess without any order. It is like drama settings and more attendees in the choir and in the altar for their dance performance.
Some clowns appear only during holy days to spoil the whole service. Our Vellichappad Chettan is one of them.
"Nalla thanthakkeu pirannvan onnum" never agree with the curtain in our beautiful church. Instead of bringing beauty to the church, the curtain setting spoiled the church.
Shame on you bishop Angadiath.

What is the use of becoming a parish council member?. There is no voice. Majority of the members are from the holy cow AMMAYI Family. They are all through the wards and they don't let any body talk. Many got TOUNG ARROUD THE NECK especially the younger one. Main interesting thing is that IT IS OLY A BLA BLA BLA. Nobody can understand where he started and WHEN HE going to end and what is the final conclution!. പാരിഷ് കൌണ്സില് സെലെക്ഷന്റെ പിന്നാമ്പുറങ്ങള്
ജനുവരി മാസം. പാരിഷ് കൌണ്സില് സെലെക്ഷന് സീസണാണല്ലോ. പ്രാര്ത്ഥന ഗ്രൂപ്പുകാര്ക്കെല്ലാം"സെലെക്ഷന് പനി" ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ജന സേവനം ചെയ്യാനുള്ള വ്യഗ്രതയില് പ്രാര്ത്ഥന ഗ്രൂപ്പ് നേതാക്കള് കുതിരക്കച്ചവടം നടത്തുകയാണ്. സെലെക്ഷന് ചെയ്യപ്പെടാന് അധികാരികളുടെ സംപ്രീതിക്ക് വേണ്ട്ടി നെട്ടോട്ടം ഓട്ടമാണ് ചിലര്.
ഈ സെലെക്ഷന് പനി പ്രാര്ത്ഥന ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളെ മാത്രം ബാധിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഒരസുഖമാണെന്ന് തെറ്റി ധരിക്കരുത്. പള്ളിയിലെ ഒട്ടു മിക്ക ഭക്ത സംഘടനകളിലും ഈ വൈറസ് ബാധ യുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇപ്പോള് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയുന്ന പാരിഷ് കൌണ്സിലില് ചെറുപുഷ്പ മിഷന് ലീഗിനെ പ്രതിനിധാനം ചെയ്തിരുന്നത് മത്താങ്ങാപ്പൂവിനെക്കാലും വലുപ്പമുള്ള ജോസ് കടവില് ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ. ഈ ചെറുപുഷ ലീഗില് കിളവന്മാരായ മത്തങ്ങാപ്പൂക്കള്ക്ക് എന്ത് കാര്യം എന്ന് ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവരുണ്ടാകാം. അവരുടെ അറിവിലേക്ക്: അധികാരികള്ക്ക് ഒരു 'എസ്' വോട്ട് ഉറപ്പാക്കാന് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ സംഘടനയുടെ നേതാവായി അധികാരികള്ക്ക് അഭികാമ്യനായ ഒരുആളെ അവര് തള്ളിക്കെറ്റുന്നു. കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ചു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളില് പെട്ടെ ആരെങ്കിലും കൌണ്സിലില് വന്നാല് അവരുടെ ശുദ്ധ മനസ്സുകൊണ്ട് അവര് നേരിട്ടു കാണുന്ന എന്തെങ്കിലും സത്യം വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞാലോ! കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ നിഷ്കളങ്കതയെപ്പോലും അധികാരികള്ക്ക് ഭയമായിരിക്കയാണ്.

I am a Syro Malabar parish Member.
Initially I had very good impression about Fr. Antony. Nowadays, whenever I go to the church, I feel sorry about our community.
Fr. Kaduppil, Fr.Thundathil and Bishop Angadiath: these are the real parasites of our community. There is another fraud without any real address in Dallas, i.e. Fr. Thotuvelil. None of them have any real family names. They have spoiled our Indian Catholics, hardworking Malayalee’s good image and they spoiled our spiritual vision. Please do not align these three idiots with the “Trinity” name. The word “Trinity” is a holy reference to both Hinduism and Christianity.

We do not have any catholic church for our worship here in Chicago. We have had one prior to July 5th 2008 in Bellwood, IL. I am really ashamed of referring about the Syro Church because the so called our new cathedral is really a ZERO church, a church without any order and spirituality and divine outlook. Some of the priests who are working for Syro Malabar Catholic church under Chicago diocese are real criminals by their behaviors and through their family traditions.
Our bishop is eccentric and he does not have any civilized sense, he is acting his dram for his own benefits and for the sake of some of his benefactors and syro rascals. He may not like parish council election; because he himself was nominated and selected as the bishop, bypassing normal norms and standard catholic IQ test. Now the bishop needs someone close to him for lifting his right arm for a public pseudo kiss. Fr. Antony is right candidate for that post.
