SISTER ABHAYA SHOULD BE DECLARED A SAINT OF OUR WOUNDED CHURCH.

Even though Sister Abhaya case is not our main issue now, it is worth mentioning that the Syro-Malabar Catholic church failed to address and discipline the evildoers of the church. If the Syro-Malabar Church had taken stern action 16 years back, this never would never have ended like this. It is proven that some priestly parasites are the biggest enemies of the Catholic Church. Do not be surprised. Very soon you may hear a homily from the Syro-Malabar church supporting the slaughterers of Sister Abhaya.

It is time for our Bishop Angadiath to re-think about his evilness and his unilateral decision that he imposed on the majority of the believers.

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, YOUR HONOR! BRING THEM TO JUSTICE.

wow . . . they really are defending those parasites, instead of allowing the authorities to properly carry out justice. what a mess.

KOTTAYAM: The Knanaya Archdiocese of Kottayam on Monday held a mass prayer to bring out what it termed the ‘whole truth’ behind the death of Sr. Abhaya 16 years ago.

Addressing a large crowd of the faithful at Christ the King Cathedral, which houses the Catholic metropolitan’s house, auxiliary bishop Mar Joseph Pandarasseril said the church had always stood for truth and expressed its solidarity with the two priests and the nun arrested in connection with the murder, who he believed were innocents.

He said no investigating agency had so far alleged that the church had tried to influence the investigation. The church wanted to know the reality behind the incident and had cooperated with the investigation so far. The church had never tried to cover up anything but had only joined the bereaved family of Sr. Abhaya in its grief, he added.

However, it appeared that a particular section was being targeted in the latest episode of the investigation, he said. “We feel that the investigation is moving in a particular direction. What the church opposes is prejudice in investigation,” he said. He said the church wanted a comprehensive investigation.

Mar Pandarasseril said the media, instead of ‘informing,’ were engaged in an effort to ‘create’ news. “When you create news, you should judge for yourself as to how much you could do justice to truth,” he said. Lots of untruth were being spread in connection with the case. Those who were responsible for presenting issues in a balanced way forgot their responsibility, he added.

Paul Thelakkat, spokesman for the Syro-Malabar Church, in his address, said human rights entitled to the common man was being denied to the two priests and the nun. He came down on the ‘trial by the media,’ which was unlike the legal or judicial trial. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which was hailed now had been dubbed corrupt when it did not arrest the priests and the nun, he said.

Jose Vithayathil, secretary, All Kerala Catholic Congress, alleged there was a concerted attempt to malign the Catholic Church and said that it was the 16 years of media trial which had made the two priests and the nun accused in the case. The prayer was attended by representatives from various parishes of the Kottayam Archdiocese and also from other dioceses and church organisations.

Illinois and Kottayam district have something in common. One Senator from Il has become the Man of the Year by Time and another prominent Illinoian spent some time in handcuffs and is on his way to jail. In Kottayam district one nun became world famous and became a saint; another is spending time in jail waiting for trail on the path to become a jail inmate. Say halleluiah to all Syro Malabar faithfuls
