ഇപ്പോള്‍ സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയാന്‍ പോകുന്ന പരിഷ് കൌണ്‍സില്‍ അംഗങ്ങള്‍, അവര്‍ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച സീറോ ഇടവക അംഗങ്ങളോട് ഉത്തര വാദിത്വപരമായി നീതി പുലര്‍ത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷങ്ങളിലെ അവരുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ പലതും പൊതു ജനവിരുദ്ധവും, ഇടവകക്ക് ഹാനികരവുമാണ്. സ്വാര്‍ത്ഥ താല്പര്യങ്ങളും അനാവശ്യമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയവും മാറ്റി വച്ച്, പൊതുജന താല്പര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി മാത്രം മുന്‍തൂക്കം കൊടുത്ത് , നിഷ്പക്ഷമായ തീരുമാനങ്ങള്‍ എടുക്കേണ്ട അടിയന്തിര ഘട്ടങ്ങളില്‍ അധികാരികളുടെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാതിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി അവര്‍ പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ പലപ്പോഴും നേര്‍ച്ചക്കോഴികളാക്കി. കാര്യ സാധ്യത്തിനായി അധികാരികള്‍ പമ്പര വിഡ്ഢികളായ ഈ കൌണ്‍സില്‍ അംഗങ്ങളെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഉദാഹരണങ്ങള്‍ നിരവധിയാണ്.
നമ്മുടെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ ഇടവകയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഇപ്പോള്‍ സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയാന്‍ തയ്യാറാകുന്ന കൌണ്‍സിലിന്റെ ഭരണ കാലം സംഭവ ബഹുലമായിരുന്നു. മില്യണ്‍ കണക്കിന് ഡോളര്‍ മുടക്കിയ ഒരു ദേവാലയ നിര്മ്മാണം ഈ കൌണ്‍സിലിന്റെ കാലയളവില്‍ നടന്നു. ഇടവകയില്‍ അസമാധാനവും, ഇടര്‍ച്ചയും, പിളര്പ്പുമുണ്ടായ പല പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങളും ഈ കാലയളവില്‍ തന്നെയാണ് നമ്മുടെ പള്ളിയില്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കപ്പെട്ടത്‌ . മെത്രാന്റെയും വികാരിയുടെയും അധികാര ദുര്‍വിനിയോഗത്തിനെതിരെ സ്വരമുയര്‍ത്തുവാന്‍ കൌണ്‍സിലിലെ ഒറ്റക്കുഞ്ഞും മുമ്പോട്ട്‌ വന്നില്ല. മറിച്ചു, അധികാരികളുടെ ദുഷ്ക്രിയകള്‍ക്ക് പൊതുജന സമ്മിതിയുടെ നിറക്കൂട്ട്‌ നല്‍കുവാനുള്ള റബ്ബര്‍ സ്റ്റാമ്പുകളായി പല അംഗങ്ങളും തരം താഴ്‌ന്നു. സ്വന്തം നിലനില്‍പ്പിനും, അധികാരികളുടെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാതിക്കുവാനുമായി ഇവരില്‍ പലരും നവയുഗത്തിലെ യൂദാസുമാരായി മാറി. കൂര്‍മ്മ ബുദ്ധികളായ സഭാധികാരികള്‍ ഇവരുടെ വിവരക്കേടും, അധികാരക്കൊതി തുടങ്ങിയ ബലഹീനതകളും ശരിക്കും മുതലെടുക്കുകയും അവരെ വെറും മരപ്പാവകളായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഹിറ്റ്ലറിന്റെ കാലത്ത് യഹൂദരെ അമര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ നാസികള്‍ ഉപാധിയാക്കിയത് യഹൂദ പ്രമാണിമാരെത്തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. concentration camp കളില്‍ യഹൂദരെ ഒതുക്കി നിറുത്താനും, എന്തിന്, ചൂള മുറിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കാനും നാസികള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചത് ഒപ്പം തടങ്ങലിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന യഹൂദ നേതാക്കന്മാരെയായിരുന്നു. അല്പം നല്ല ഭക്ഷണവും, മറ്റു ചെറിയ വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചകളും ഒരു പക്ഷെ തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാംഎന്നുമുള്ള സ്വാര്‍ഥ ചിന്തയുമാണ് അവരെ ഇതിന് പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്. നമ്മുടെ സഭാധികാരികളും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ നാസികളുടെ ബുക്കില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരു പേജ് കടമെടുക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഉദാഹരണം: കര്‍ട്ടന്‍, ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശ് പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ പുതിയ ദേവാലയത്തില്‍ നടപ്പാക്കാന്‍ വടക്കന്‍ രൂപതകളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഇടവകക്കാരില്‍ നിന്നും തടസ്സമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നു മുന്‍കൂട്ടി കണ്ട അധികാരികള്‍ പള്ളി പണിയുടെ പ്രധാന ഉത്തര വാദിത്വങ്ങള്‍ വടക്കന്‍ രൂപതക്കാരെ തന്നെയാണ് ഏല്‍പ്പിച്ചത്. നാലുപേര്‍ അംഗങ്ങളായിരുന്ന കോര്‍ കമ്മിറ്റിയില്‍, മൂന്നു പേരും വടക്കരായിരുന്നു. അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനമാനക്കൊതിയെ മുതലെടുത്ത്‌ അധികാരികള്‍ കാര്യം കാണുകയായിരുന്നു.
പൊതുജന താല്‍പര്യങ്ങളെ ബലികഴിച്ച്, അധികാരികളെ പ്രീതിപ്പെടുതാനായി ഇവര്‍ നിയമലംഘനങ്ങള്‍ വരെ നടത്തിയിട്ടില്ലേ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്‍ സംശയിക്കുന്നു. പള്ളിയുടെ സീറ്റിംഗ് കപ്പാസിറ്റിയെപ്പറ്റി ഇവര്‍ ജനങ്ങളെ തെറ്റി ധരിപ്പിച്ചു. ആവശ്യത്തിന് വണ്ടി പാര്‍ക്ക് ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഇടമില്ല എന്നത് മറ്റൊരു സത്യം. തകര്‍ന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഇന്നത്തെ സാമ്പത്തിക സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില്‍, ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മനുഷ്യര്‍ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മയെ നേരിടുന്ന ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തില്‍, ഭീമമായ ഒരു കടവായ്പ ഇവിടുത്തെ പാവപ്പെട്ട ജനങ്ങളുടെ മേല്‍ അടിപ്പിച്ചെല്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ കൂട്ട് നിന്ന ഇവര്‍ ചെയ്തത് കടുത്ത ജനവഞ്ചനയല്ലേ? ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ജനദ്രോഹപരമായ നടപടികള്‍ ഇനിയും തുടരാനല്ലേ അധികാരികള്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും ശ്രമിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതിനാണല്ലോ പുതിയ കൌന്സിലിലേക്ക് എലെക്ഷന് പകരം സെലെക്ഷന്‍ വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്?
നിഷ്പക്ഷമായി പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയുന്ന കൌണ്‍സിലിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പരാജയം ദേവാലയ നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിന്റെ കണക്കുകള്‍ പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ ഇതുവരെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നതാണ്. ഇതു കരുതിക്കൂട്ടിയുള്ള ഒരു നീക്കമല്ലേ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്‍ സംശയിക്കുന്നു. ഈ മാസം സൂത്രത്തില്‍ അവര്‍ പടിയിറങ്ങിയാല്‍ അടുത്ത മാസം അവര്‍ നമ്മെ കൈ മലര്‍ത്തിക്കാണിക്കും. കണക്കുകളെല്ലാം വരുന്ന കൌണ്‍സിലിനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു വരുത്തി ജനങ്ങളെ അവര്‍ വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കും . പുതിയ കൌന്സിലാകട്ടെ "ഞങ്ങളൊന്നുമറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ രാമാ നാരായണ" എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു വീണ്ടും ജനങ്ങളെ വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കും.
അധികാര ദുര്‍വിനിയോഗത്തിന് തങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കൂട്ട് നിന്നവരെ രക്ഷപെടുത്താന്‍, അവര്ക്കു സ്വന്തം തടി രക്ഷിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി അധികാരികള്‍ പിന്‍ വാതില്‍ തുറന്നിട്ടുകൊടുക്കും എന്നതിന് രണ്ടു പക്ഷമില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെയാണ് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയും മുമ്പ് പള്ളിക്കണക്കുകള്‍ ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുമ്പില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കുവാന്‍ നമ്മള്‍ ശക്തമായി ആവശ്യപ്പെടേണ്ടത്. ഇത് സഭാ വിരുദ്ധ പ്രവര്ത്തനമായി ചിത്രീകരിക്കാന്‍ തല്‍പ്പര കക്ഷികള്‍ തീര്ച്ചയായും ശ്രമിക്കും. ന്യായമായ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കുപോലും ശബ്ദമുയര്‍ത്തുന്നവരെ ഇങ്ങനെ താറടിക്കുവാന്‍ സഭാധികാരികള്‍ എന്നും ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതില്‍ ഭയപ്പെടാതെ ന്യായമായ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി ശബ്ദമുയര്തുവാനുള്ള ധാര്‍മിക ധൈര്യം നമ്മള്‍ ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി കാണിക്കേണ്ട സമയം അതിക്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അല്ലാത്ത പക്ഷം ഇതിലും വലിയ കടക്കെണിയിലേയ്ക്കും, കെടുതിയിലെയ്ക്കുമായിരിക്കും ഈ വരുന്ന പുതിയ കൌണ്‍സിലും അധികാരികളുമടങ്ങിയ അവിശുദ്ധ കൂട്ട് കെട്ട് ഈ സമൂഹത്തെ നയിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനസമൂഹം അധികാരികളോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയാണ്: പള്ളിക്കണക്കില്‍ തിരിമറിയില്ലെങ്കില്‍ അത് പുറത്താകാന്‍ എന്തിന് ഭയപ്പെടണം? ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഭരണകൂടം സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയും മുമ്പ് കണക്കുകള്‍ പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്ന ന്യായമായ ആവശ്യം ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഉന്നയിക്കുകയാണ്. അല്ലാത്ത പക്ഷം അത് പൊതുജനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ഒളിച്ചു വയ്ക്കാന്‍ തക്ക എന്തോ രഹസ്യകാരണങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഈ സമൂഹം ധരിക്കുന്നതില്‍ തെറ്റുണ്ടോ?
വെറുതെ വലിച്ചു നീട്ടിയാല്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ അങ്ങ് മറന്നു പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളും എന്ന് വ്യാമോഹിക്കേണ്ട. ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ വിയര്‍പ്പിന്റെ വിലയായ ഓരോ ചില്ലിക്കാശിന്റെയും കണക്കുകള്‍ ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുമ്പില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എണ്ണി എണ്ണി തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടി വരും.

It has been more than 6 months since the church construction has been completed. Yes, the authorities should release the accounts for public review.
It will be a real shame for the current Council members if they are going out of the Office without publishing
the accounts of church Construction. If they shamelessly do that hope that the new Concil members does have the GUTS to question
and accept the accounts, so that they explain the same to the laity with Clarity , if they ever do that.
They are infact responsible (if they ever are) to publish the same to the public because they came to collect the cheques from all of us. You cannot blame the Pastor for everything as his main duty is to provide pastoral guidance and to make the people do what is morally right and what is good for the society. He can only take a Horse to the water, but he cannot make it drink the water !!"
If they go out without completing their moral responsibilities, they will also go down in History along with our outgoing President with the same feelings.
Looks like our community lacks the courage to question the Authority, due to the way they are brought up back in our Home state. It usually takes the next generation to be free of the bonds tied to our brain and think freely.
2 cents to the new Council members: Take the feelings of the people into consideration before venturing into anything big and you know there are several ways to do that, rather than just a "Pothuyogam". It is really hard to get the real pulse of the parish in the Pothuyogam, as we have lot of folks who does not want to hurt the feelings of others by being outspoken, yet can provide great ideas!!.
Yes we need people with Back Bones in the Council, not just rubber stamps or puppets so that everything will be discussed and diagnosed before taking a decision.
New priests coming to US should have some experience in Mission Areas so that they can fully accept the realities of life of the people. In northern States of India even Bishops from Western Countries show no hesitation to visit the common poor folks in Bicycle and sharing a meal with them. That is the real Mission Spirit.
Any way it is very interesting to watch all these in our Church.

Where we are heading to? Christianity is the religion where GOD COMES TO MEET MAN, but in the Bellwood’s SMC church, the Bishop and the priests are blocking GOD. The controversial cross in the cathedral is the biggest shame of our community. I do not like the curtain in the church; the curtain never reflects any holiness to the church. There is no more message than the message of the Jesus and the cross.
Monotheism cannot be achieved though a Polytheism approach. Time passed, generations resonance the great history of our forefathers those who strived to keep our noble Indian tradition of fear (supreme adoration) of God. Many noble ideas and personalities came out of Kerala after the Christian influence in India. However, nowadays our so called spiritual upholders are spoiling that great culture and they are working as secret agents, for their own benefits and their own personal motives. This is a live reality that we are experiencing from our own of SMC church in Bellwood. The Syro Malabar Cathedral Vicar and his Bishop is the number one crook among our SMC in USA.
The Syro Malabar church diocese teachings are against the catholic teachings and are against the biblical principles. Any teachings that is not bind to the word of God is false and need to be neglected. Our Vicar and his Bishop are the number one spoilers of our community. They are preaching their dirty cultureless, graceless tactics and they are trying to impose their narrow minded biblical interpretation to US AND SPIRITUALLY SPOILINGOUR FUTURE GENRATIONS.

I decided to join with the American catholic church, I am very much impressed with the liturgy and I am very happy that I could get at least one good spiritual medication in a week, their catechism is much valuable and practical than ours and the Mass is much richer than our Bellwood’s DRAM.
