Mangalore: The police have taken two persons into custody in
connection with the murder of Fr James Mukalel, who belonged to Alakkode.
The two persons, who are under questioning in an unknown place, belong to Kandady, in Karnataka, the place where the priest’s body was found.
Indications are that clues have been obtained on questioning the duo.
The priest had got a call on his mobile phone immediately before he had proceeded from Elizabeth Convent.
The sisters have given statement regarding the phone call. Now when the call was traced and the conversation vetted, the police got clues.
One of the persons in custody himself had alerted the people nearby Kandady about a body lying there.
This person had got involved in all the activities at the parish after the body of the priest was found.
The police had not suspected this person earlier. But on knowing the details of the phone call, the police got to know aspects of the crime.
The two persons in custody belong to the same family. The second person is around 20 years of age.The police are investigating whether more people are involved.

Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use
examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are still
talking of the same YOU. YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system
in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and

Let us make it clear. We do not condone the murder of Fr. James. It was an atrocity that is unimaginable. Nobody, not the least a priest, no human deserve this. The people behind this have to be found out, captured and punished.
As a son, as a brother, as a father, this reporter swears: no way. This is cruel, unimaginable atrocity committed against a human life. Nobody deserves this.
To tell you the truth, I don't get the idea of what the "Chinthakan" said. Dear Mr. Chinthakan, could you please talk in our language?
Chinthakan was talking about the death of Fr. James.
It means nobody can predict the end of a human being. True.
May be chinthakan was talking about syromalabar voice...who knows
