I have a great suggestion: We have to elevate the Cultural Academy. "Academy" sounds too small. It should be elevated to SMCA University. We have so many departments under this SMCA University. School of Music with 6 professors. School of Dance with 5 professors, including the high-kicking Karate priest Tom. School of Fitness & Wellness. Public Speaking, where even our bishop could be a student. Aerobics for our aunties. (That will be interesting to watch!) Chess.
Jesus Christ! This cultural academy has to be elevated to a university. We have to Phd's at the helm already.And a whole bunch of ignorant parents who want their children to be culturally educated. -

what is going on with cultural academy? New administration is acting out and each of them are showing off. They are acting as if this is the inauguration of academy. Inauguration was done 4 years ago by the bishop.There was no academy before 4 years . Beena and team worked hard to develop the new program from the foundation and created the structure and programs and everyone respected their actions. This new team is trying to deny the existence of this school in good standing and pretending to make giant changes. When you look closely, you can see there is very little changes. Aerobics(wow?) for 1 hour. Chess for 1 hour. ( see last week's bulletin)Are these the new courses added according to fr. antony?The vicar announced that next week there is another show off by the cultural academy's new bosses and he repeatedly told the people to attend.Introduction of faculty. What is cherian and santhi has to offer? Santhi never had a real training in music. Singing in parties is not enough for teaching the students.Cherian may be good (??),but we do not think he is able to train our children well.Why is the big gala? Academy is not new.It was there before cheap publicity seeking ignorant people (Joshi Kuncheria gang) took charge.( You have big degrees, but you do not realize the fact that your attempts to shadow the previous group's hard work looks so low infront of us. I talked to many other parents and everyone thinks the same.)I had my child attending academy from the beginning. I saw how much time and efforts Beena, Kurian Vacha and Benny Parakkal put for the development of this school. The commitment to be at the academy every saturday for many years is not easy.I wish the same team stayed.They were not selfish and they never intentionally seeked any attention.We felt safe to leave the children there, because these people were reliable and decent. But this new academy people act like they run the church and I dont know how they will treat our children.CCD and malayalam school reopened and their directors are getting on with their work without any show quietly. One more question. Why religious organization leaders are not included in the first page of the bulletin.I think the language and art school is not the priority departments in a church. Religious involvements for the students in CML should be given more importance and should be promoted.Fr. Antony need to look into this fact. He should be encouraging and promoting children's religious involvement rather than arts. Arts is good, but as a vicar the spiritual development of children needs to be given priority. Whose decision was it to include school directors on the front page of the bulletin? What a shame.All these years these people worked without seeking names and publicity. When Joshi came on board, the name is everywhere. Mohan, Mani and paulson,the best gang along withe lady appointees by the director.What a combination. Cheap stunts every week..By the way who is in charge of bulletin? Is it anyone from cultural academy?

Cultural academy is really not for the kids. Its for the publicity of the committee members. This is a bunch of rotten people who don't have have any talent because of the curse from god.

I agree with voice. Did the cultural committee check the credentials of all academy teachers? Did you do an audition?
Honestly I never heard of this Cherian. I have heard Shanthi singing film songs. I have seen her dancing too. Pretty good, I should say. But can she teach? That is a different question.
That said, Jessy was a qualified music teacher. By her not being in the academy is a loss to us, not her.

I am a cultural academy parent and I was wondering who Cherian is. I did my work and here is the fact. Did anyone know he was instructing in kanaya center and was done with one time performance which was poor in quality? His daughter is married to one famous Trichur family here. He was tardy and no show on days he was supposed to instruct. Why is he not in any of our church activities even for the big inauguration music? He claims he knows "everything". I think our committee took face value for his bogus claims.He will not be a replacement for Jack who has been teaching music in American schools for years.

Looking at the stupid bulletin from Sept. 6 (online) now it has the "director of Cultural Academy" listed in the top section in same section as the vicar, and on the last page it says they will be introducing their "Faculty Members". So now these buffoons think they are professors!?
This is yet another example of cronyism and theft in our church, people coming in for personal fame or gain.
