Fr. Antony must be removed from this church.
Vicar must be transfered to some where else, soon. We put up with him for so many years. We the people deserve a better and different christian message. He been here for long 10 years. Year after year his actions go from bad to worse. His threatening messages have the same theme and intension, create scare in peoples mind and take advantage of it. His actions are to humiliate and destroy people with different opinions than him. A true christian priest don't do this kind of terrible things. The church is for the people to take benefits of Jesus's good teachings, not for a vicar to exploit members and their resources to make advantages for himself.
This is our church, not his. I am doing a lot of volunteer work for him and for the church. I frustrated with him a lot but always tried to hide it and be nice to him. I don't have to do it. We are here in America not to put up with his abusive, threatening and enforcing behavior. A mere church vicar should act and think like a church vicar. We the members of this church paying money and volunteer work much more than any members of any churchs in Kerala. Still, after so many years we can't get a replacement of our Vicar?? We have the right get a replacement of this decades old threatening messages and ugly cheap politics of the vicar. If he is so bad in public can you imagin how bad he is inside? Its a shame for our bishop that he can't find a replacement of this vicar. We want to know what his(bishop) plan is. Bishop should not keep him here for ever just because he is beneficial to him. Since I work closely with vicar in many things I know a lot about him. Believe me, this vicar must be removed to avoid a catastropy to our cathedral. I am sure most majority of the people will agree with me that a replacement of the vicar is long overdue. A very few people may think that he is ok. Those people will continue to think like that even after 100 years.
Dear bishop, We need a new vicar, soon. We deserve to have a better and modern relegious message and more of a christian spiritual atmosphere in our church. We deserve it because this church is completely suported by us - financially and many other ways. And it was like that long before you came to America. People like me do hundreds of hours of volunteer work. We started this church for us and our children. We demand a better treatment of us in our church.
Dear bishop, you have the obligation to pay us back of what we giving you for so many years of money and volunteer work. Please pay us back by giving modern christian messages and practices, and creating an atmosphere of spirituality in the Cathedral church. Please understand us and immeadiately start working on what we need, and that is your duty. Yes, it is your duty to replace the cathedral vicar in the very near future.

Chicago syro malabar community has lost faith in the leadership of fr antony. It is mainly because of him this blog is spoiling our reputation all over the world.he should show the decency to resign. We do not need a shepherd that divides his flock.
PARISHIONERS UNITE AGAINST THE INEXPERIENCED SHOW-OFFS IN THE CULTURAL ACADEMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a concerned member of this parish, once again I want to point out the disappointing acts of the 3 (actually 4, one was out of the country during the 2009 syromalabar night) newly appointed members of the cultural academy. Before the 3 show-offs took command, Beena Vallikalam, Kurian, and Benny were running the cultural academy. I must say Beena and her team did a wonderful job. They didn’t miss use their power to show off their talents or to showoff how cute they look. Rather they used all the available resources to build and to promote the Syromalabar kids’ talents. This is what we expect with this new “Jannu” group. We the Syromalabarians are really fortunate in that we have very talented group of kids in our community. These kids work hard to build their talents and we need an academy that supports it. Our academy members should not be using these kid’s talents to promote their insecurities. The “Janu” group is also building a trend where they are just promoting their kids in every cultural academy stage shows and leaving behind other very talented kids whose parents don’t have that much voice at the church.
The removal of talented teachers from our academy is also disappointing. Most of the parishioners are disappointed in your actions especially since all of you are using the post to promote your kids’ and your insecurities. The whole community has lost faith in the new cultural academy team and they must be removed immediately.
Those who have not read our previous column regarding the misuse of the cultural academy pls read below,
I am deeply disappointed by the activities going on with this Cultural Academy. Previous Sunday they were trying to sell their CD (the so called Syromalabar night) at the Narthex. Since “Jaanu” ( a tribal leader in Kerala) took over as the president of this Cultural Academy, this show-off drama has come to its peak. The vicar was complaining about the noise at the Narthex. Why did he let these fools use the TV at the narthex during the Holy mass time to put their show? Is our vicar really going out of control?. There is a time and place to show-off. “Jaanu” and his 2 new cultural academy members (one Knanya man & the other famous through his daughter) used the wrong time to show the Syromalabarians, how wonderful and talented they are!!!. These show-offs should be taught the basics about showing some respect during Holy Mass. Our kids are learning from our examples. What happened to the syromalabarians of Chicago??. How can they tolerate these acts? The acts of “Janu”, along with the other two are unacceptable. The truth is that it was the “Aragetram” of the latter two (their first performance at the stage), and now they want to show the whole community how wonderful they are through their CD. They managed to remove the 2008 Syromalabar-night MC from the 2009 picture. The 2008 MC is still wandering along the streets of Bellwood, asking why have I been kicked out very graciously by my pretended friend!!!. He hopes that he may get some spot in the next year!!.
I have a question for these pagans. What are you trying to achieve after all????. Why did you publish a flyer with your ugly faces in it, during the ‘perunnal’?. There was already a beautiful flyer in existence with all the Syromalabar night informations, which was sent to all the parishioners. You need to stop abusing the Syromalabar funds for your personal gains. I truly hope the newly selected parish council members (some of them are under-aged) will discuss and ask about the mischiefs and the publicity stuns of the cultural academy members!!!$$##$$$###.
How can these people be so cheap??? ‘Jaanu’, where were you during the time of Church construction???. How much money did you contribute so far??. ‘Janu’, in future you have to watch your actions!!!. Don’t let the other two make you a fool among the community. Act sensibly and try to earn respect, rather than forcefully sell it!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Why our Syro Malabar leadership is keeping silence. We need to report this to CBCI (India) and to the United State Catholic Bishop Conference in USA. It looks like we have a cathedral and a bishop with his crooks in USA with out any vision and mission. You dont seem to know about Cyber laws. If maligning was so easy all the andan and adakodans who came to US by marrying nurses could have done this for one reason or another. Do you know that Google gives your IP address with a single complaint.
Spend some time browsing about Cyber laws concerning attacks against faith, religion, and malicious propaganda against religious workers. Get the help of a Criminal Attorney in assessing the degree this accounts now. Its Second degree offence. Nothing can save you as Google has cache even if you delete everything. The authorities had their chance to prosecute the person who torn the sheela. (By the way do not call him a criminal.I do not want him to put a hole on my shirt, especially when I am wearing it.)Why they did not do this you have to ask them. If you have personal grudges keep it to yourself. Everybody, including this person contributed. It is the bishop who committed the crime by hanging the rotten ugly sheela by betraying majority of the faithful.
To the person who warned us about the Cyber Laws: your advise is well taken. We will consider shutting down this blog. As we promised earlier on Feb. 31 of 2043.
Do you know one kachara committee member wants to take his daughter to Kodampakkam, Madras, to act in movies! He is going to use his kachara committee position to promote her dancing.
To the observer: but the people, at least me and a lot of other people did not contribute our money for the bishop to hang the red rag in front of the altar. If prosecuted the bishop would lose the case and the curtain removed by court order. that is why they did not prosecute. Any way it is past. The bishop and authorities forgave. The people are so graced with many blessings and Evanokke "Ellinide" Entho Keri Erikkukaya. I am also becoming one like them. The people have to find some faults with something. I think it's America's fault.
Often People tend to forget what true blessings they have here. The people have been so fortunate with sooo many things. However they wine, they cry and they curse for minor things like church and sheela..
As a POLICE I am not a fan of things happening here with 10 Million church construction, 2.2 Million house, parking issues etc.. I know they are 40% mistakes .. But the fact. I can live with that and I wish if everybody take in that spirit.

He took 300000 from many innocent shareholders promising 4000 in return each month. Now no fone company. No money. Company owner missing. Do you think church got kickback. Investigate please.

We are the proud sons and daughters of Catholic Church by virtue of its spirituality. After the Syro Malabar Bishops inception here in Chicago, he and his team could only spoiled the unity of the faithful. When our authority denies our freedom of religion and worship in USA, we are trying to defend our faith for our future generation. The Syro Malabar cathedral in Chicago is violating both universal and the cannon law. The bishop put his sheela in the cathedral during his hide and seeks game and he is pagan bishop.
Inspector Chathan Sir, there is an allegation you took a big bribe from the businessman/mega donor and that is why you are trying to protect him. It is also said you work in his gas station. any truth in these?
Fr Antony should read the writing on the wall. He should get the hell out of here. If he is such a great person, priest, vicar, administrator, etc., what the heck is he worried about? Go and find another job. Good riddance.
Last Sunday the nun was too slow to come to the podium for her reading. The previous Sunday the choir leader's wife was real fast and that was right. May be only Susan reads the Voice.
I don't know why Fr Antony is still hanging out here. Don't he has nowhere to go? I am asking him, don't you have no other place to go?????????????? There are thousands of other churches. I heard the next day church authorities went to sign an agreement created by the attorney of the accused guys families who torn the sheela. I heard the authorities were scared. They went to his place because he threatened to go to court. Authorities knew court will order to remove the sheela since the sheela was unauthorized by the people who paid money to build the church which was a continuation of the original church without sheela. Bishop and vicar did not want an embarasing and losing long court fight. I am sure many people know this.

Spread the good news. Every one should read and input their thoughts in the Voice. Voice is getting really good now. Probably the reason the nun was late for the reading last Sunday was that she is not reading the voice frequently enough.
I do not believe we are going to have lasting peace as long as the present leadership is in place. We need a new beginning of forgiveness and charity. Without question the majority of the people want "CHANGE". So all i want to ask is respect the peoples' wishes.

They keep on crying and hoping that the management will do something some day. I guess one of us should keep watching this dumpheads.
As I mentioned, they forget their graces and blessings and they are behind silly things because "Ellinde Edayil Entho Kayari'... With our police power we cannot stop them. However, I am here to watch things.

Did the chruch take any legal action aganist the person who tear the curton?
He is only a reprasentative of the community. I think majority doesnt want to see curton. I personally hate most of these modern policies introduced by few of the biships. One is the curton issue second is not allowing dead body into the chruch (this is only few parts of Kerala now) to give the final respect the person.
If the chruch leaders take any action aganist the person who tore the curton, I will be very supportive to him financially to take this matter to the court of law.
The problem with the SMC now, is there is no leadership. They are like a head-less chicken now.
I feel sorry for all those who wanted our own chruch. What a peaceful religious life we all had prior to the introduction of SMC in USA.

Is the police looking for him? A lot of greedy malayalees who paid $30,000 each expecting a $4,000 payday every month is losing their sleep. They cannot eat. 95% percent of our parishnors hate this ridiculous sheela that the ignorant bishop has hung in our church at the last minutes. Have you seen the picture of the Sheela? We are embarrassed.

Vicar accused one guy of tearing the cheela. But next day before noon they signed the agreement at the guys place. Why they went to his place instead of he coming to church? This guy didn't pay a single penny to fix it. Church fixed it. This shows who was really scared.
Hey guys, on the curtain issue both the bishop and the guy are wrong. We all should leave that issue behind. We have other major things to worry about.
