ഈ അധ്യന വര്ഷം വരെ മേലധികാരികളില് നിന്നും കാര്യമായ അനാവശ്യ രാഷ്ട്രീയ കൈകടത്തുക ളൊന്നുമില്ലാതെ സാമാന്യം സുഗമമായി പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു പ്രസ്ഥാനമാണ് സീറോ മലബാര് cultural academy. കഴിവും കാര്യപ്രാപ്തിയും കൈമുതലായുള്ള ബീന വള്ളിക്കളത്തിന്റെയും കത്രിക്കുട്ടി അമ്മായിയുടെയും അല്പ്പസ്വല്പ്പം സംഗീത വാസനയും പാടാന് കഴിവുമുള്ള ബെന്നി പാറക്കലിന്റെയും കുര്യന് വാച്ചായുടെയും നേതൃത്വത്തില് കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടു കൊല്ലം ഈ academy ഭംഗിയായി പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു. സ്വാഭാവികമായും നല്ല സംഗതികള് അങ്ങോളം എത്തില്ലല്ലോ!
പള്ളിരാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന്റെ വിഷം ലവലേശം പോലും തീണ്ടാരുതാത്ത കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ ഈ കലാലയത്തില് നാറിയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന്റെ നഞ്ചിന് കുരു കലക്കിയിരിക്കയാണ് ഫാ. ആന്റണി. കലയുമായി പുലബന്ധം പോലുമില്ലാത്ത കുറെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ചെടിതീനികളുടെ കയ്കളില് ഈ academy യുടെ കടിഞ്ഞാന് ഏല്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് വികാരി. പാരിഷ് കൌണ്സില് പോലെ തന്നെ തന്നോടുള്ള ലോയല്റ്റി മാത്രം അളവുകോലാക്കി, കലക്കോ കഴിവിണോ പുല്ലുവില കൊടുത്തുള്ള നിയമങ്ങളാണ് ഫാ. ആന്റണി നടത്തിയതെന്ന് ഒറ്റ നോട്ടത്തില് തന്നെ മനസ്സിലാക്കാം. ഇങ്ങനെ നിയമിതരായ നപുംസഹങ്ങളുടെ ബുദ്ധിഹീനമായ നടപടികളുടെ പ്രത്യാഖ്യാതം നമ്മുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ദോഷകരമായി ബാധിക്കുമെന്നുള്ളത്തില് സംശയം വേണ്ട.
അധികാരികളുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രേരിത ദുര്നടപടികളില് പ്രതിഷേധിച്ചാണെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രഗല്ഭരായ രണ്ടു അധ്യാപകര് തങ്ങളുടെ രാജി സമര്പ്പിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നാണ് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കറിയാന് കഴിഞ്ഞത്. Mr. ജാക്ക്, piano ടീച്ചര് ആന്ഡ് ജെസ്സി തരിയത്, മ്യൂസിക് ടീച്ചര്. രണ്ടുപേരും തങ്ങളുടെ വിഷയങ്ങളില് ഉന്നത യോഗ്യതയുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു. ഇവരുടെ, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ജെസ്സിയുടെ നടപടിയില് എന്തോ ദുരൂഹതയുള്ളതായി ഞങ്ങള് സംശയിക്കുന്നു. വീണ്ടും വിശദ വിവരങ്ങള് വഴിയേ.
ഇവരുടെ രാജിയും, മറ്റൊരു കലാകാരന് , നടേശന്റെ അകാല നിര്യാണവും അക്കാദമിയെ ദോഷകരമായി ബാധിക്കുമെന്നുള്ളതിനു സംശയമില്ല. കാരണം കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്ഷങ്ങളില് ഈ അക്കാദമിയുടെ നേടും തൂണുകള് ഇവരായിരുന്നു. കൂടാതെ അന്നത്തെ cultural കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ നിസ്വാര്ഥ സേവന മനസ്കതയും.

What is happening in our church? This is unheard of in any religious institution. Why does our vicar politicize everything? I think he suffers from tremendous sense of insecurity.
It is a shame one the most gifted and qualified singers of our church is not part of this academy. This calls into question the very legitimacy of this enterprise.

This is a good post. And many cutura things you are focusing are the key areas other people would like to know too. The "New Kachara Avatars" need to be revealed and their "Kooths" must be stoped.
It looks like the Kacharas take things for granted and it's a total surprise why Fr. Antony has not warned them so far. I am pretty sure he has not been informed about it or Fr Antony thinks the "Kachara Avatars" are innocent folks.
However we have to mention that the Kacharas spend an aweful personal time to do things and they do a good job. But when they do things, they are trying to over expose their weekness. There should be a strict evaluation on this Kutura committee from Achans' side.
Please try to do a good job and get off the harsh mentality against Fr Antony and others. They indeed do a good job and you have to address the focus areas like this which needs attention.
Jessy has been teaching children music for many many years I know. A lot of children sing music on stages and other occasions because of the songs she taught. She has been leading our choir from the beginning. She has a music degree. She sings on stages and CD. I have seen and my kids say, youtube is full of her many songs. Yet now she is out of the so called cultural academy. Why? The authorities have to give an explanation to the concerned parents. This academy has no credibility when it fails to include such a worthy teacher of music.
I can say one thing. All the members of the cultural committee that I know is well qualified for that position: they are all culture-less.
First of all you must understand that SMCC is only for Bishops and Priests to make a good living and for some members with money to shine in the community. It is your choice to participate in this organization or not. You will not go to hell or your children will not go bad if you don't go to see this circus every Sunday.You are trying to make this organization to conform to the way you want.
Vicar must be transfered to some where else, soon. We put up with him for so many years. We the people deserve a better different message. He been here for long 12 years. Year after year his actions go from bad to worse. His messages have the same theme and intension, create scare in peoples mind. His actions are to destroy people with different opinions than him. A true christian priest don't do this kind of terrible things. The church is for the people to take benefits of Jesus's good teachings, not for a vicar to use members and their resources to make advantages for himself.
We the church members paying money and volunteering much more than any members of any churchs in Kerala. Still we can't get a replacement of our Vicar after so many years?? We have the right get a replacement for this decades old threatening messages and ugly cheap politics of the vicar in our church. Its a shame for the bishop that he can't find a vicar replacement. I am sure most majority of the people will agree with me that a replacement of the vicar is long overdue. Some people may think that he is ok. Those people will think like that even after 100 years.
Dear bishop Angadiath, We need a new vicar, soon. We deserve to have better relegious teachings and more of a spiritual atmosphere in our church because it is suported completely by us - financially and many other ways. Dear bishop, you have the obligation to pay us back what we giving you and the church for so many years of money and volunteer work. Please pay us back by giving modern christian teachings and practices, and creating an atmosphere of spirituality in the Cathedral church. Please understand us and start working on what we need, and that is your duty. Yes, it is your duty to replace the cathedral vicar in the near future.

In our church the clowns run the show now. When clowns and jockers are on stage its time for serious actors to leave. So perhaps it is better jessy, jack and nadeshan not on stage for the time being. . I'm sure its only temporary

The current Vicar is a waste and a fraud. The Church needs to take action against the vicar and get him transferred. The bishop and the biased priests split the Syro community in USA and he was one of the agents for that satanic action. You thieves of Syro Malabar Church, we fed up with your service, and we need our unity back as a true Syro Catholics.

When authorities are week then subordinates popup with many blunder ideas and projects to loot the faithful. Here the Bishop is a hand-puppet without any resilience power and the vicar is taking advantage of that situation. It is shame to have a building with 9 million that is not even worth for 7 million in value. The structure is not good for a cathedral. Many of you might have witnessed many cathedral churches, have you even saw something like a tent like ours. It is time for the church authorities to remove the dirty veil from church first and to give a good look inside.
Some VEERAPPANS are really hiding in the church as bishop and priests and others in various positions. They do not have any other place to go and whitewash. You hypocrites, you are really playing with our culture and centuries old traditions.
You are weekly selling Jesus for 32 silver coins through your bad decisions and biased tactics and none of your actions are good for the global Catholic Church.
We all know the three well-known idiot flunkies of Fr. Antony in the cultural cademy. Would you introduces to us the three other idiots. I see there are 2 doctors. are they medical doctors or Phds? If Phd, in which subject? Music, Dance or Kathakali? Who is Gilsy and what is she?
There are "Chenda Ladies" and "Manda Ladies" are in the academy now. And the new lady member is the new "GHOST"
Day by day it's becoming like a "Ghost House" and More Ghosts are enterig into the academy.

I am a cultural academy parent and I was wondering who Cherian is. I did my work and here is the fact. Did anyone know he was instructing in kanaya center and was done with one time performance which was poor in quality.His daughter is married to one famous Trichur family here.He was tardy and no show on days he was supposed to instruct.Why is he not in any of our church activities even for the big inauguration music? He claims he knows"everything".I think our committee took face value for his bogus claims.He will not be a replacement for Jack who has been in american schools for years.
