First Shot
Not that we don't to like to hear the Bible reading during Mass. We certainly do.
But then there was today's reading. We are talking about the second reading. Ms. Beena Sheshadri did a good job. She read it better than any priest ever could.
And she read it longer than any priest or shushru!
We got to tell you! She wouldn't stop. What happened to her? She just kept reading as if it would never end. We are sure she read more than a chapter! It was ridiculous!
We are sure a lot of people who listened to her monsoon torrent would agree with us.
Second Shot
Maybe it's just me. Wondering for myself just for the heck of it. It's about today's sermon. It was very good. It was about the owner of the vineyard.
As we all know, he had a lot of work to be done at the vineyard. Some laborers started early in the morning, say at 6 a.m., some at 10 O'clock, some at 2 in the afternoon etc. Some even started just before closing time! And the owner of the vineyard pays all of them the same wages! Can you believe it? And when someone who came early complained, the owner said, "shut up, or get out. Its my money, I will do whatever I want with my money."
Is it fair? So the laborers who came early and worked hard all day are fools? If they came at 2 or 4 in the afternoon who would have done the job they did in the morning? We are not blaspheming, but at the same time we don't think it was fair at all.
Come to think of it our priests, most of them at least, behave just like the vineyard owner. The Bible gives them parables for justifying any and every injustice!
Third Shot
Fr. Antony is still whining. Now the wimpy priest, the little big despot, comes and tells the people that there are openings for the second CCD. Yes, from Ist grade to the last grade. You know the second CCD is during the time of the 11 O'clock Malayalam Mass.
The vicar's English dreams are biting the dust. They are shattered. Looks like he has to remain an African Crab for ever! The people of this parish have spoken by their actions. They effectively boycotted the English Mass, and sent their children to CCD during that time. More power to them! The parents, and the children themselves prefer to attend the Malayalam Mass. Fr. Antony has to swallow this bitter pill. Kashaayam, in other words. Drink it, father, take a deep breath, and pretend nothing happened.
Thank God our children and parents do not follow the selfish advise of the priests!
It is high time our vicar realized he is fighting a losing battle. The people of this parish, the hard working people of this community, are not short-sighted dimwits like our church authorities. We are here to warn the vicar: do not mislead our children. Do not lead them into damnation. You have no business interfering with how we should bring up our children. Just minister to us, make a few bucks and get out of here before the people of this parish raise up and show you who the real boss is.
Shot Four
St. Timothy Church in Chicago.
Here comes crashing down another foolish dream of Bishop Angadiath, of a second parish church in Chicago. No more regular Mass at St. Timothy. Reason: no attendance. Seems like a precursor to what is going to happen in Hellwood.

I agree second reading was too long. It is show off. Somebody had to stop her. We are there for mass. Not to listen to her bible reading.

The reason kids are not attending the English Mass?
The reason kids are not attending the English Mass because, parents are comign LATE. The parents have the freadom to come and attend the malayalam Mass and kids can go to the CCD classes. And parents think that it's OK not to send the kids to attend masses.
2. Kids attendance during Malayalam Mass
It's very poor. See yourself - How many kids are there in the 11.00 Mass? May be between 10 and 30. Most of the kids are in basement playing. It's an utter shame.
It was a Big Mistake to change the timing from 9.30 to 11.00 and Fr Antony did that because of the people convenience.
However, we Mallus are very smart in being selfish and taking care of our own stuff and we conveniently forgot about Kids' mass and start blaming the authority again.
Please open your eyes and write the TRUTH.
I am not saying you will be punished for the wrong things you are doing. You are using your writing skills to deviate people and you spread wrong things to community.
I know you are a faithful son of God and there are only TWO people in the church who has the caliber as you to write such articles like this. So please do not think, the people are fools always not to realize who you are.
So Awake - Analyse - And do a good job for the Public.

Fr.Antony was trying to kill Malayalam class for a long time. He thinks he don't need Malayalam to fill up his pockets. If he is not a Malayalee he won't be here in this church. He don't care about the future of this church. Only cares about filling up his pockets. No wonder he won't leave the cathedral.

We workers came to work early in the morning, finished all your work. We are going to undo that now and not going to pay your money back. Just pretend that we were also in that late crew. You have such a good heart so we are sure you will forgive us. If you want to finish your work call that late crew. They will finish it for you.(I dont know how).

Wondering what is wrong if parents and priests encouarge children to learn one more language- Malayalam, which being our Mothertongue. Even our Father of Faith, St. Thomas might have studied our langauge (it it existed at that time) before he preached the Gospel.
As for our children, they have time to spend 'zillions' of hours in front of the computer and on cell phone; is it that annoying to learn another language? If they do, all these noise about CCD sessions 'Manglish Mass', etc. will end. It is almost impossible to understand a culture without understanding the language. Any language is worth learning; we only shall grow forward. The most loved Pope of the Millennium, HH Pope Paul II knew almost 20 languages; because he loved people of all cultures and nationalities. If our children do love their parents and are proud of their ancestry(I am sure they do; I am a parent myself), they should be encouraged by all means to study Malayalam; may be add Malayalam classes as part of cultural academy on Saturday.
If children want to know and participate in an English Mass, they must have the opportunity to do so by participating in a REAL American English Mass (so nice; short and profound). We call it Latin Rite (and of course, we are the 'ancient Syro Malbarians'). Rite does not bring us salvation; but true faith & love of God do! Priests should encourage our culture and background and not try to 'kill' it!
The bishop and vicar distroyed the peace and unity of our parish. They are leading us in wrong direction. And our next generation also. They are responsible for wiping malayalam school out.

before these priests and bishop wipe this community out, community has to wipe them out. We have media, advice each other. Work hard, work it out together. We have some real Devilish people in this church. Without paying any attention, or thinking right if people still planning to go to the wrong direction, nobody can help them. Most of these steps our authorities have taken are suicidel. Hope everyone knows by now. Open your eyes do the right thing. Thats all. good luck.
