Why Do We Need A New Shepherd?

Wow! We touched some raw nerves! We wonder what blew the short fuses of some of our readers to aggressively attack us and equally defend the vicar.

Actually we never accused the vicar of manipulating the polls. It is the youth cadre and other cronies he has set in place that is doing the dirty work for him.

This is how it works. He has his handpicked and loyal supporters installed in every position in the church. His black hands worked behind every election or selection in our church. Our chotta leaders owe their positions to none other than the vicar. Like a dog trainer who rewards his dogs with bits of bones, he rewards them that serve him. He very shrewdly keeps their tails wagging, because he knows stormy days are ahead. And he would need their support. Every one in the parish leadership is nothing but political goodas of the vicar.

These people could care less about our parish or our church. They just turn a blind eye to every problem in the church. The vicar and his parish leadership willfully pretend that we have no problems, rather than confronting and solving them. They believe in a make-believe world of a magnificent Cathedral that seats 5000 souls, with a thousand car parking lot. A cathedral with $130,000 sound system that will put all the singing cherubs in heaven to shame. And may more other beautiful things, they simply believe. No one can bring them back to real life, and make them look at the shortcomings we have at our church and correct them. That is why we need a change in the parish leadership. We need a new captain who will navigate this ship to calmer waters. We need a new shepherd who will lead his sheep to greener pastures.

In future posts we will try to spell out specific issues we are facing. Because, we believe, correcting these will be in the best interest of our church.
