അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഒരു സീറോ മലബാര്‍ പള്ളിയില്‍ നിന്നും ഇതുവരെ ഒരു വൈദികനും കരഞ്ഞു കണ്ണീരൊഴുക്കാതെ നീങ്ങിപ്പോയിട്ടുള്ള ചരിത്രമില്ല. പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ നാറി, നാണം കെട്ടല്ലാത്തെ സ്ഥലം മാറി പോയിട്ടുള്ള അച്ചന്മാര്‍ ഇല്ല. നമ്മുടെ ബിഷപ്പ് തന്നെ അച്ചനായിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ ഡാല്ലാസില്‍ നിന്നും നാണം കേട്ടു ചിക്കാഗോയ്ക്ക് അഭയാര്‍ഥിയായി വന്നത് ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതിനൊരപവാദ മാണ്‌ ബ. സജിയച്ചന്‍ . തന്റെ ഇടവക ഭരണത്തിന്റെ അവസാന ആഴ്ചകളില്‍ അത്യന്തം സംതൃപ്തനും സന്തോഷവാനുമായാണ് അദ്ദേഹം കാണപ്പെട്ടത്. വിശ്വാസികളുടെ സ്നേഹവായ്പ് ആവോളം ഈ ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അനുഭവിച്ചു. യാതൊരു കുറ്റബോധവുമില്ലാതെ വളരെ സമാധാനം നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു ഹൃദയവുമായാണ്‌ അദ്ദേഹം നാട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നത്. എലിയെ തോപ്പിച്ചു ഇല്ലത്തിനു തീവച്ച മണ്ടന്‍ ബിഷപ്പിന് മനസമാധാനത്തോടെ ഈ രാത്രികളില്‍ ഉറങ്ങാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഉറക്കമില്ലാത്തെ കാള രാത്രികളാണ് ഇനിയുള്ള നാളുകളില്‍ ബിഷപ്പിന് വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. കണ്ണ് മയങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍ ക്രൂശിത രൂപവും കൊപ്പേല്‍ നിവാസികളുടെ വിശ്വാസ തീക്ഷ്ണതയും കണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം ഞെട്ടിയുണരുന്നു. ബിഷപ്പിനെ വിഡ്ഢിയാക്കിയ ഫാ. സജിയുടെ കാര്യം ഓര്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കടുപ്പനെ പോലും വിശ്വസിക്കാന്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കഴിയുന്നില്ല. അതവിടെ നിക്കട്ടെ.
നാളെ, വ്യാഴാഴ്ച, രാവിലെ 8:15 ന് ആണ് ഫാ സജിയുടെ കാര്‍മ്മികത്വത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കോപ്പെലിലെ അവസാനത്തെ ദിവ്യബലി. അതിന് ശേഷം നൂറു കണക്കിന് കാറുകളുടെ അകമ്പടിയോടെ പ്രത്യേക ലിമൊസിനില്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ എയര്‍പോര്‍ട്ട് ലേക്ക് ആനയിക്കും. നമ്മുടെ തോമയും അഭിമാനത്തോടെ അച്ഛനോടൊപ്പം ലിമോയില്‍ തന്നെ ഉണ്ടാകും. നമ്മുടെ തോമയുടെ കാര്യം കഷ്ടം തന്നെ. ഇപ്പോള്‍ കൊപ്പേല്‍ വിശാസികളുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം എത്തമിട്ടു ഏറ്റു പറച്ചിലാണ്. കള്ളയക്കൌന്റ്റ്‌ തുടങ്ങിയത് താനാണെന്ന്. ബിഷപ്പിന്റെയും കടുപ്പന്റെയും ദുഷ് പ്രേരണക്ക് അടിമപ്പെട്ടു പോയത്രേ. എന്നാല്‍ എന്തെ ഇതൊന്നും തോമ കഴിഞ്ഞ ഞാറാഴ്ച ചോദിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ സമ്മതിക്കാതിരുന്നത് എന്നാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍ ചോതിക്കുന്നത്. അന്നുള്ള സത്യം തുറന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ഇത്രയ്ക്കു നാറി നാണം കേടെണ്ടി വരുമായിരുന്നോ? സ്കങ്കിന്റെ മൂത്രത്തില്‍ മുങ്ങിയ പോലെയല്ലേ ഇപ്പോള്‍ തോമ. ഈ നാറ്റം പോകണമെങ്കില്‍ കാലം എത്ര എടുക്കും?
ഏതായാലും തനിക്കൊട്ടും അര്‍ഹിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെ പൈസ എന്ത് കള്ളത്തരം ഉപയോഗിച്ചും കൈക്കലാക്കാന്‍ മടിക്കാത്തവനാണ് നമ്മുടെ മെത്രാന്‍ എന്ന് എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ബോദ്ധ്യമായല്ലോ.

Bishop’s actions make more suspicion about his intentions .His honesty and trustworthiness is in doubt. At the same time he is afraid to face other non claver cross Syro Malabar Bishops in the upcoming Synod.
It is a shame for him to say that Fr.Saji is transferred for putting crucifix, or disobey him to re write the parish council minutes against the 99.9% majority decision. This leads to the false allegation of fund misappropriation, but the planning with Vattan Thoma back fired.
Can he clarify the following:-
What is his authority to put Vattan Thoma and Pottan Saji as operators of church bank account?
What is preventing him from releasing closing documents of the church to the Parishioners’?
Is it true that Coppell Church is bought in the name of St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Garland with a view to get dominance all the time by Garland Church?
Garland Church was under Dallas diocese recently, but in 2007 changed to Chicago Diocesan’s name. Instead of registering it under the diocesan’s name, here Coppell church is registered as ‘ST.ALPHONSA CATHOLIC CHURCH OF THE ST.THOMAS SYRO MALABAR CATHOLIC CHURCH?

A Vatican cardinal in charge of clergy around the world congratulated a French bishop in a 2001 letter for not denouncing a sexually abusive priest to the police, according to a French website on Thursday.
The letter posted by Golias, a critical lay Roman Catholic magazine based in Lyon, is the most explicit of a wave of recently published internal church documents in showing past Vatican encouragement to cover up sexual abuse by priests.
In the letter dated Sept 8, 2001, Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos backed French Bishop Pierre Pican's decision not to denounce a priest who was later sentenced to 18 years in jail for repeated rape of a boy and sexual assaults on 10 others.
Under fire in recent weeks for its secretive handling of abuse cases, the Vatican has insisted the fact that other published documents did not explicitly instruct bishops to inform police of abuse did not prove it told them to hide it.
Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi did not dispute the letter's content but said it confirmed "how opportune it was to centralize treatment of cases of sexual abuse of minors by clerics under the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith."
The then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict, instructed Catholic bishops around the world on May 18, 2001 to report all case of clerical sexual abuse of minors to the Congregation, the top Vatican doctrinal office that he headed.
Pican, who received a suspended three-month jail sentence for not denouncing sexual abuse of minors, admitted in court he had kept Rev. Rene Bissey in parish work despite the fact the priest had privately admitted committing pedophile acts.
The case shocked France and prompted its bishops to declare that all abuse cases must be reported to civil authorities.
"I congratulate you for not denouncing a priest to the civil administration," Castrillon Hoyos said. "You have acted well and I am pleased to have a colleague in the episcopate who, in the eyes of history and of all other bishops in the world, preferred prison to denouncing his son and priest."
BISHOPS NOT REQUIRED TO INFORM POLICE
In it, the cardinal said relations between bishops and priests were not simply professional but had "very special links of spiritual paternity." Bishops therefore had no obligation to testify against "a direct relative," he stated.
The letter cited Vatican documents and an epistle of Saint Paul to bolster its argument about special bishop-priest links.
"To encourage brothers in the episcopate in this delicate domain, this Congregation will send copies of this letter to all bishops' conferences," Castrillon Hoyos wrote.
A staunch conservative from Colombia, the cardinal headed the Vatican department for priests from 1996 to 2006. From 2000 to 2009, he also ran a commission dealing with traditionalist rebels who broke from Rome in 1988 and were excommunicated.
He conducted the talks that led to the January 2009 decision to readmit the four banned bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X to the Church, which caused an uproar when it emerged that one of them, Richard Williamson, had denied the Holocaust.
The controversy was highly embarrassing to Pope Benedict, who said he did not know about Williamson's views, even though they could easily be found on the internet.
Two months after the incident, Benedict folded Castrillon Hoyos's commission into the Congregation and the cardinal retired.
On Thursday the pope said the church had to do penance for its sins, in a rare public reference to the pedophilia scandal.

Unprincipled and non-transparent acts led to the faithful losing their respect for them. The Cardinal asked the clergy not to run after material benefits.

What is happening and happened so far in Coppel is shameful and disgusting for any SM Catholic.

What we are doing in the church is remembering Jesus. He said "Do it in Rememberance of me". So if there is anything there, that should be His Cross. He was facing everybody talking to them holding the bread in His hands, you know what he was saying. So you all should start doing it that way. Do you have nothing to do? Why are you worrying this much about this issue. Put the real cross in your heart and pray.Don't worry about stuffs made out of wood and concrete.Have you seen anywhere in the Bible about the type of cross that we need to put in the Altar. It is just a tradition and most of us don't like the changes. That's all. But the Bible ask you to respect and obey your superiors. If it is a disrespect to Christ and a bad decision like you think, then the God will punish only the Bishop, not you,because he is responsible for the decision. Don't worry

Dear Syro malabar friends,
After reading all these comments, I really feel very bad. Is it all true? I wish not. No smoke without fire. What is happening in our church? Does power and money took over spirituality and service? After all, Catholic Faith is Same whether you are Latin or Oriental.
Bp. Angadiath, think for a while in your heart. Does it really matter? We are buying the churches with faithfuls' money. Why in the world you have to provoke the faithful in the name of cross and curtain. Those things have nothing to do with spirituality. Please concentrate on the life faith of the people. Otherwise, after this generations, all the syro malabar churches will come to extinct. Our kids are never going to be ther if things go like this.
If you want the continuous existence of this church concentrate on the youth, instead of the so called "old People and their cronies" who have nothing but selfish motives. What you have to loose? nothing. But you have so much to gain. What ever happened happened. Come to the path of service. God will guide you along the way. Be selfless and serve other people. I don't know nothing about Fr.Saji. But reading and seeing so many things about him make me believe that he was a very good priest for the faithful.
I don't believe it is too late to reverse the course. Denounce your pride and be humble. Form a good advisory team who can help you not alienate you from the people.

Coppell Real Catholics:
We have our Crucifix in the altar accoording to our General Body Decision and Bishop's permission.
We did clear the bath tub and side screens to make the Crucifix visible to all of the people in the church, after Fr. Saji publicly announcing in the church on Easter Mass.
More than 200 people took part in the clearing work along with skilled workers.
$120,000 was estimated to be the expense of our remodelling of altar, but we the people did the modifications with less than $15,000.
Finacial blunders like buying Chicago Diocese office building for $850,000 and selling back for $125,000 by our Chicago Administrators won't happen here.
Who has to pay for this loss of money?
We the people give money to maintain Dioceses and if you not doing that in Chicago, you have no right in other churches financial matters.
So if anything has to happen in our church it has to approved by the general body, which is the law of the Coppell church.
If anyone try to do anything without the General Body decision, you will be kicked out of this church forever.
Watchout ass kissers and position seekers, you won't succeed in dividing the true catholicas by spreading rumors.
We know where these allegations and rumors are coming from.
By the way, General Body has to be convened asap, to discuss the matter of Pottan Reji being the trustee of our church, when no one trust him as a person.
