If anything, pope's directive is supporting the so called "Powathil/Kaldaya/Pala/Changanacherry agenda". You have to first understand the context in which Pope is talking. All the Eastern and Oriental churches celebrate the Divine Liturgy facing the alter. The idea is, the entire congregation is praying to God with the priest leading his folks. Pope is sharing the same idea in this directive. He is asking to place a crusifix on the alter if the celebrant is facing westward (i.e facing the people). The reason given by the pope is "in order that all, during the celebration of the liturgy, may concretely face and look upon Lord, in such a way as to orient also their prayer and hearts".
Before sending links and distributing papers please try to understand what they are trying to say. Some of the Latin churches atleast as an experiment have started to say the Divine liturgy facing eastwards. Looks like the latin people are becoming prey to Kaldayavalkaranam.
Please read the letter from Pope in detail and you will see Pope acknowledging that in ancient period even latin churches celebrated liturgy facing the alter.

Vicar General said, 'bishop didn't say you cannot put crucifix at the altar'.
Fr. Saji put crucifix at the altar.
The next day Bishop fired Fr. Saji, and asked him to leave by April 15th.
People complained they can't see the crucifix unless they sit near the center aisle because of a temporay styrofoam wall in front of the crucifix.
Wall was taken down along with a 5 feet deep baptismal pool that was behind the temporary wall.
The Next day pastor from Garland church delivered letter from bishop asking Fr. Saji to leave the Coppell church the next day (that is Monday, April 5).
People who did not like Fr. Saji made up stories about financial fraud. Those people may include other priests. remember, we have seen some of the fine behavious of our priests at the syro-malabar convention in Dallas.

Zyro Malam-Bar Diocese of Chicago consists of people from all parishes in Kerala, not just Changanacherry, Paala, kanjirappally.
This Claver and Sheela, are not installed in, not even in every churches so far in all parts of these Changanacherry, kanjirappally and pala Diocese.
The issue of Claver was problem in most of the parishes in kerala, the Bishop Synod specifically said the Bishop can't enforce the issue of Claver if the majority of parishioners disagree with Claver.

3.Take zero tolerance on corruption regardless of personal or regional interests. Remember..your attitude determins your altitude.
4.Transfer norms (3 years/5 years as the case may be) for priests should be strictly followed and should be included in the appointment letter itself.

I do not think whoever bought these has to steal from anybody. I have reasons to say.
We are the culprits. We give our hard earned money to the priests and then do double overtime to pay our bills. Have you ever thought why priests need money. When a priest is deputed anywhere in USA, he has a minimum salary ($2000), allowance for food (which he sparely uses), his medical is completely taken care of from the Diocese (ofcourse the respective parish boots the bill.
We the foolish bestow thousand of $ to Achen.
For example recently for Saji Achen's sent off.. he made around 50000.00. That is a lot of money. Now back in Kerala if he buys 10 acres of land or buys a Mercedes benz.. who is to blame.
Let us all stop giving money to priests and if you really want to give, pledge it to your church or do some charity. I know many of us will say.. why should we give money to church. The church is yours and mine collectively speaking " it is OURS". So let us work together and make a church the BEST.

First we need to know if it is true. we should not make false allegations or support these kind of allegations. If anyone out there believes that they have done financial fraud then come out with the proof rather standing there and saying allegations.
We cannot say anyone has done financial fraud, if they bought a palace or propoerty. Once again, as someone said.. we are at fault. we give 100s of $ to these achens for various reasons and at the end of the year, they earn more than $ 100,000. If you offer money, no priest will say i do not want it. once again an example.. when saji achen came to coppele, he said that i will never take any gift when he goes, but what was the realty. Like every other priest, he pocketed everything he got. he also asked the money he had given for buying of the church.

One thing is common for all these sheelavadis, i.e. they are big time liers. That is what happened on post number 40 and 41. Saji Achen did not take $50,000. Recently we saw many blogs saying forget the past, some bible teaching( I thing the writers just studied for this purpose). This clearly shows the frustrations of some EX & EXPECTING position seekers.Thease people doesn't have proper backbone. When their names called publically in church to answer alligations they will bow their heads sit quietly. If they didn't do anything wrong they should answer in public but from their heart they know they had done so many things against this community.

On Saji Achen's sendoff day Trustee asked, Who is this Thomas P T opened new account in church's name without anybody's knowledge? No Thomas was there( actually was at the back row)to answer. But last sunday, after series of questioning the same back seater agreed he opened the account. Don't play double game in this community, as you know Texans are tough.
Hopefully next sunday somebody else will testify their part in this game publically.

It is quite obvious, you are very much against Fr. Saji from your blog entry.
Fr. Saji was fired by Bishop for Crucifix issue, all these financial allegation started well after that.
First you said Fr. Saji stole money, now you know people know it is not true, you Bishop supporters trying to make, Fr. Saji got $50,000, we all know he didn't get that much money.

Claver is a problem and curse to Syro Malabar Rite.
Syro Malabar Diocese of Chicago consists of people from all parishes in Kerala, not just Changanacherry, Paala, kanjirappally.
This Claver and Sheela, are not even installed in every churches so far in all parts of these Changanacherry, Kanjirappally and Pala Diocese.
In any of the other Diocese than these few, no Claver exist, only Crucifix in altar.
If within Kerala itself, not all churches don't have Claver in altar, not even in Powothil's own changanacherry, palai and kanjirappally Dioceses; So what right the Bishop has to try to enforce Claver in our church altar which people really don't want to see.
The issue of Claver was problem in most of the parishes in kerala, the Bishop Synod specifically said the Bishop can't enforce the issue of Claver if the majority of parishioners disagree with Claver.

There was a Vicar General in Changancherry who was removed from the post because of fiscal irregularities and later ended up in the U.S. His family back home is now well known financiers charging exorbitant interest rates to customers. Godly way of doing business? There are other stories too, well known to the people of the locality and ask them.
Even the concept of this syromalabar church in the US is an ill conceived and poorly executed. Why you want to be victims of a deception and fraud.

#66 Warning Garland Church people are coming to sell Stage Program ticket : I felt at first as if "Kathareena" is coming, let them come, is it mandatory to buy the ticket ?, most of us have good relationship with them, I wish same should be continued not only with Garland people but also with all other people, one thing to appreciate them they are still in voice praying for Coppell Church also in the holy mass. Based on your comments I would like to request them to add in their prayer to give wisdom to people like you, also Fr. Saji who wanted us to pray for him, because wisdom comes from God and He alone can give it and that itself gets through prayer and fasting, (gentle)man try to pray and get a little from that but bear in mind one draws picture only on a clear board.
Who is real culprit? I think all. Let us take Fr. Saji, to start with. A priest needs to obey bishop in all matters except sin. The Cross which you call claver cross (I don't know for sure if that is its real name. If that is not, you are ridiculing the symbol of our salvation and Christ Himself.) is not something hateful. Vatican has no objection in hanging the afore said Cross and hence that is not an offence to hang that in the church. Fr. Saji ought to have obeyed the Bishop. So Fr. Saji is wrong in his stand against the Bishop.
The Bishop is also wrong in not using wisdom to guide his flock. Any Syro-Malabar diocese outside Kerala would be a mixture of faithful from different dioceses of Kerala. So the bishop needs to understand that the people love their church only when they are comfortable and feel at home in their church. Most of them are not comfortable with the existing way of saying Mass, since that is not familiar to them in their home dioceses. For Example, only in couple of dioceses in Kerala the priest says Mass facing the Alter. In all other dioceses the priest says the Mass facing the congregation. Yet people do not make any complaint against it. They co-operate with the Bishop. So in order to have a compromise the bishop need to abandon the other part, the Cross and the Veil. If you press for the Cross and veil which you like, the people may also go against the present way of saying Mass. In the end, what will remain are people with no faith who are disrespectful of all clergy. In that case the church is going to be none other than a political party. It is not a particular type of Cross and Veil which saved us from our sins, but Christ. The first Mass He offered, did not have any veil. It is only after offering that painful Mass we read about the veil. He did not insist for any special kind of Cross to die on. St. Thomas himself, in whose name we take pride, was not used to the veil and the Cross in dispute.
It is wise to understand on the part of bishop that the way people ask the Mass to be offered is liturgically acceptable and valid. The Vatican has validated it. More bishops love offering the Mass that way. So come to the spirit of forgiveness and compromise. Let use our energy for evangelization. Let us preach the word of God unceasingly as commanded by our Lord. Let us not to be instruments for losing faith of faithful, but imparting faith, faith in Jesus and not in any particular kind of Cross and Veil.
The people of Coppell and other parts of dioceses, who rebel against the Bishop in matters of faith are also wrong because the Bishop has the authority to adopt and decide the liturgy to be used in his diocese. The Cross and Veil which our bishop insists on are not wrong things. The Vatican’s approval has on them. So it is not proper and warranted, but sin to rebel against him in this matter. He is absolutely correct in his decision to hang the Cross and Veil. I am not speaking about administrative mistakes/faults, if any. We need to accept the authority of bishop and obey him in all matters as long as they are not sins.
This is what we need to do. We are following a leader who always said to forgive. So let us forgive everyone. Let us express our forgiveness in our words and deeds. The first thing to follow our Lord is to accept that we (Fr. Saji, the bishop and the people) have done our part in making the issue these much worst. Everyone is prime culprit. So let seek forgiveness from each other. If anybody is not ready to seek forgiveness from others the issue is not going to have an end. If we are going to be late in doing that, irreparable damage is going to happen to the church itself. If people lose their faith then there will be no church, not Jesus. Offer a Holy Mass in your church with bishop the main celebrant. Seek forgiveness in that Holy Mass and rectify all that is needed. Best Wishes.

Thanks to’ Syromalabar voice’ for giving details about the Coppell church issue. After going through the writings and responses, it is felt that they are okay, except for the indecent language used in some of them. Please mind that the foul language will drift away even like-minded people.
Any way, it is a good sign that the majority of the parishners have raised against the despotic bishop for his arrogant stand on the Manickeyan /Persian cross. There were a number of churches in Kerala too, where the faithful stood bravely against installing the Manickeyan cross in their newly built churches, a decade ago.And, now the march goes on in America!
All the church-problems stem out of the enforced authoritarianism of the church authorities.The Vatican’s Canon laws grant both the spiritual and temporal powers to the bishopric! In temporal matters a bishop has full power to enact, interpret and enforce laws in his diocese!! Yes, legislative, judicial and executive powers in one hand!!! It means that the faithful , who are the real owner of all the church properties and institutions, are left with no power or right on them. Infact this unchristian, unholy ,structure of the church promotes arrogance of power in the minds of bishops. So,it is more essential to fight the root cause ie. the unchristian,anti- laity, provisions in the Canon law.
Infact, the the Eastern (Oriental) Canon law was enacted for the churches that originated in the eastern part of the Roman empire, such as Antiochean, Alexandrian, Chaldean churches etc. But, the politics of Chaldeanisation of Syro-Malabar church by the Oriental Congregation with the help of Mar Powathil defeated us. Mar Powathil’s fight for the Holy Mass according to the Chaldean rite, and also the projection of the Manickeyan cross as ‘Mar Thoma cross’ was designed to stamp our church as the ‘daughter-church’ (Puthreesabha) of the Chaldean church, so that the Eastern Canon law could be enforced here. How can our church that originated in the 1st century be the daughter-church of the Chaldean church which took birth only in the 4th century? No one gives the answer!
Our patrimony is the’ Law of Thomas’ and according to which the entire authority on temporal matters was vested in the 3tier church assemblies (Palliyogam) of the faithful. Until and unless we succeed in bringing back this original Indian patrimony, problems will carry on erupting from the anti-biblical power structure of the church.
I take the struggle by the faithful in Coppell church as a step towards the ultimate aim of enforcing the LAW OF LOVE of Jesus Christ in the entire church. My hearty wishes for the success of your fight!

it affects every single people in that mission. Natukotam is a cultural association like FOKANA or WMC.
When there are many individual families or ward or any church approved organizations like
Vincent de paul society are willing to sponsor this feast; why fr Joy gave to Nattukotam, without
announcing in the church.

Fr Joy is a good priest and learned politician. He uses claver cross
regularly in his Masses. He made a claver Archbishop as the main celebrant for the last feast.
This year also he will bring some claver cross bishops; so that he will get their support
to become a bishop in the US.
Something really wrong with the Syro-Malabar church in USA.
Few years ago fr Anthony Perumanoor quit the job and went back to Kerala; then Fr Saji forced
to quit just like Fr Kaduppil; now Vicar General is quitting and going back; two syro malabar
mission directors are quitting in the next few months and going back to Kerala. Myself and
some of my friends were going to the Bronx church after Dumont SyroMalabar mission was
forced to close; we stop going there also since last three years. We are happy with our local
church. Fr Jose Kandathikudy is a very good priest-a holy priest. If we want to see a
Syro malabar Mass, there is regular Mass at Jersey city by Fr Thottumkal or at Nutley
by Fr Kunnath brothers. Bishop tried and failed to stop these Masses. Fr Joy's image was tarnished
because of his association with Nattukottam which is controlled by the claver Cross group and
especially people like you, who do anything for cheap publicity and no family values. The mind is full of
hatred and jelous and for people like you the worst is yet to come. In front of public all looks very
well for them.
The catholic church originated around AD 33; there was no catholic before that.
