അപ്പോഴാണ്‌ വിനോദച്ചന്‍ ഈയാഴ്ചയും കോപ്പെലിലേക്ക് പറന്നിരിക്കുകയാണല്ലോ എന്ന കാര്യം ഓര്‍മ്മ വന്നത്.
1000 മൈല്‍ ദൂരെ കിടക്കുന്ന കോപ്പെലില്‍ ഒരു ഞായറാഴ്ച കുര്‍ബാന ചൊല്ലാന്‍ ചിക്കാഗോയില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരു വൈദീകന്‍ ! പണ്ട് ചെറിയാച്ചന്‍ പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ നമ്മുടെ രൂപത സ്വന്തമായി ഒരു പ്ലെയിന്‍ മേടിക്കണം. അത് ജെറ്റ് തന്നെ വേണം താനും. ഉലകം ചുറ്റും വാലിപനല്ലേ നമ്മുടെ ബിഷപ്പ്! അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടും. സ്പോന്‍സര്‍ ചെയ്യാന്‍ ആരെങ്കിലും?

"നിങ്ങളുടെ മുട്ടിപ്പായ പ്രാത്ഥന ദൈവം കേട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു നമുക്കൊരു രൂപത കിട്ടി." തേങ്ങാക്കൊല. ഇവിടെ രൂപതക്കുവേണ്ടി ആരും പ്രാര്‍ഥിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് മാത്രമല്ല, രൂപത വേണ്ടെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു നിവേദനം നടത്തിയിട്ടേ യുള്ളൂ. ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാത്ഥന കേട്ടില്ല. പ്രത്യുത ഞങ്ങളെ ഒരു രൂപത തന്നു ശിക്ഷിച്ചു.

Be rational and then you will realize that the past pastor of Coppell gained from this. Corruption, mismanagement of funds and cronyism has become the hall mark of these establishments. These people have no sincerity; your loyalty should be to Christ. These people are using the name of religion and Christ to make money for themselves. Look at the lifestyles of these priests-it is very much americanized.
There was a Vicar General in Changancherry who was removed from the post because of fiscal irregularities and later ended up in the U.S. His family back home is now well known financiers charging exorbitant interest rates to customers. Godly way of doing business? There are other stories about the family too, well known to the people of the locality (ask them or ask someone here too). (Someone asked does the priest has a niece in coppel church, yes he has). just one example and many more stories.
Anytime a priest from Kerala does clergy work here in the U.S, the priest's family back home makes overnight financial progress. Selling scriptures in the U.S has become a profitable business.Open your eyes and you will realize the truth. This is nothing but a money laundering business.
Even the concept of this syromalabar church in the US is an ill conceived and poorly executed one only to serve the intersts of the clergy. Why you want to be victims of a deception and fraud. In light of what happened, if what you really care about is worshipping God, then stop sfinacial support for Coppell church. If the property is lost, then go to English church for sunday service. If I die today, Mar Angadiath, if I die today, will I be able to get a decent Cyro-Malabar funeral as I wish? What is the procedure to arrange one? Should my dear & near ones call your ‘Answering Service’ and then wait for an answer? Then, as you please, find a wandering guest-priest to officiate it in Coppell? This might keep me two weeks in the freezer! Please don’t do it to me. As we see around (there were incidents), your authority will not even allow another Cyro-priest (working in Latin diocese in U.S.A.) to officiate a Cyro-liturgy, not even a house blessing! As a full-pledged Cyro-Coppellian I don’t see a ray of hope here.
We the Coppellians, co-operatively got together and arranged a seven figure church property in Coppell. But what is happening to it now? Our dream vanished! Looks like it is made merely a ‘den for the weekend-picnic-priests’! You visitor, enjoy the beauty of Texas – once in a life time opportunity, free travel, free food & free lodge!

Mar Angadiath, what is the plan for Coppell parish? You cannot be irresponsible. If the center (falconer) cannot hold the falcon the falconer is out of touch. If you feel beyond your ability to manage the crowed please find an alternate way – there are several of them.

How do you evaluate your actions?
Do you measure it by
the bank balance?
the Net Asset value on annual statement?
the number of syro priests in USA?
the number of trips made to parishes?
the number of members in the diocese?
the size of syro conventions?
Did you answered "yes' to any of the above questions? If you did, then you
are going in the wrong direction.
A diocese or church should not measure its success by the money it has,
assets it has, number of priests it has, number of members it has, or
conventions.
A diocese successfully does its duties when its members grow in faith, when
it's members goes out and spread the word of God and share his love.
A diocese is successfull when its members become global citizens by helping
the poor and needy in every part of the world
A diocese is successfull when its members feel it as an obligation to help
the under priviledged in their own city and in their hometown, without
regard to the race, color, caste, religion, or appearance of the needy.
That is how a diocese should measure its success.
Syro malabar diocese of Chicago measures it's success by firing good priests who follow our Pope's instructions.
