കൊപ്പെല്‍ പള്ളിയുടെ ബാങ്ക് അക്കൌന്റ് കള്‍ മരവിപ്പിച്ചു, അരമന അധികൃതര്‍ അവരുടെ സ്വന്തം പേരില്‍ പുതിയ അക്കൌന്റ് തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കയാനല്ലോ. അങ്ങനെ സാമ്പത്തിക കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ സ്വാതന്ത്രം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട കൊപ്പെലുകാര്‍ സ്വാഭാവികമായും കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറെ ആഴ്ചകളായി പള്ളിക്ക് ഉദാരമായി സംഭാവന കൊടുക്കാന്‍ കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നില്ല.

കൊട്ടും സൂട്ടുമിട്ട ബിഷപ്പിന്റെ ചില മൂട് താങ്ങികളുടെ അല്‍പമനസ്സില്‍ ഉരുത്തിരിഞ്ഞ ഈ നൂതന ആശയം അതി വിചിത്രം തന്നെ. അതായത് പള്ളിക്ക് ജനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നല്ലാതെ സ്വതന്ത്രമായി വരുമാന മുണ്ടാകുന്നതിനായി ദേവാലയ സമുച്ചയത്തില്‍ പെട്ടെ ഹാള്‍ പുതുക്കി പണിതു പൊതു ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ ഓരോരോ പരിപാടികള്‍ക്കായി വാടകയ്ക്ക് കൊടുക്കുക. ഹാള്‍ പുതുക്കി പണിയാന്‍ വേണ്ട തുക ചില വ്യക്തികള്‍ അഡ്വാന്‍സായി നല്‍കും. അവരുടെ മുടക്കിയ തുക തിരിച്ച് കൊടുക്കുന്നതുവരെ അവര്‍ നിയമിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കമ്മിറ്റിയായിരിക്കും അവിടത്തെ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുക. ഹാളില്‍ നിന്നും കിട്ടുന്ന വരുമാനം കൊണ്ട് പള്ളിയുടെ വായ്പ തിരിച്ചടച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. അതായത് ഹാള്‍ പുതുക്കി പണിയാന്‍ കാശ് മുടക്കുന്നവരുടെ പൈസ തിരിച്ച് കിട്ടുന്നത് വരെ അവരായിരിക്കും അവിടത്തെ കാര്യാക്കാര്‍.

Anonymous #6 made some good points.It is very sad that the rift in the name of liturgy(Kaldayavalkaranam) has damaged the Kerala church in the past and the bishops behind this are trying to infect the SMC in America also. The real intention of these people are to be known and to be fought against. The message of evangalization of the world is being lost here ..

Bishop please restores the dignity of the holy altar, restore the crucifix in all churches and remove the ugly satanic veil and claver cross from all churches. Syro-Malankara Church
This is the break away part of Syrian Jacobite Church and it follows the same mass as of jacobite rite and has only plain cross.
The only similarity for this Syro- Malankara Rite to Syro- Malabar church is that they both consider the pope as the head.
So the "Breakway Jacobite group" called Syro-Malalnkara (Reethu) is still following jacobite rite and under Pope, this is also creating confusion among Syro-Malabar Christians.
Syro-Malalnkara (Reethu) is Under pope, following Jacobite mass and all services, it is mixture of east and west churches.
But Catholic churches are under pope and should follow western Christianity.
Real catholic churches only have Cruciifx in the altar everywhere in the world.
Mar Powathil’s fight for the Holy Mass according to the Chaldean rite, and also the projection of the Manickeyan cross as ‘Mar Thoma cross’ was designed to stamp our church as the ‘daughter-church’ (Puthreesabha) of the Chaldean church, so that the Eastern Canon law could be enforced here.

That seems to be very true in the case of St.Alphonsa church in Coppell. Firing of the vicar, freezing of church bank account, and then came the scare tactics by chicago diocese. But nothing could shake the faithfuls of Coppell and their zeal for Crucifix.
When go to church on sundays, are you going there because of church mandates it? When you give generously to church, are you giving because bible says to give 10% of your earnings? When you help someone, are you doing that to earn browning points (good guy status) with God? If you are, then God will say, you did those things, but you do not know me.
We cannot earn browning points from God. Don't do these things to fulfil a prescription for Christian life. Know God, and the action that cuminate from knowing God, is what God wants from you. That is the rock. When you know God, nothing else matters, and nothing can destroy you or your faith.
