I am not fully agreeing with you.
In Fr.Mathew Panthalani's case it is 100% correct.He seems to be an "imported" one.
But Fr.Bobby's retreat is good and spiritual.See for example in yesterday's retreat he narrated the story of trustee in Kerala and other who made unrich benefit from Church.
Trustee just took five ciment packets while doing the church construction, while other took only one potato by chance.
They are not revealved these things in the confession for long time (years ).
As father clearly observed ,these are the instruments of sin later become the instuments of suffering for them.

To control people some of these priests and Bishops come up with all kinds of arguments and justifications. Be careful of what you accept and follow. If God gave you a brain then you are accountable to Him. Each one of us has to answer for our actions, we can't blame some one else and escape.
No need to insult anybody, stand your ground and disagree politely.
We have to be brave, we are followers of Jesus. For Him mistakes were mistakes even if they were committed by priests.

Creating an identity other than Catholics around the world by finding the syro roots! . It's crazy and nothing but selfishness to be co-existent and create an identity for the very own Bishop.
Bishop is not trying to find an identity for “us”. Rather it’s creating an identity for the higher-ups. We, the Catholics proud to be called/known as a Roman Catholics.
In the past few months, what we see within our Syro Malabar Sabha is not helping any real Catholics. Rather it’s creating division and hatred among us.
We, the REAL CATHOLICS should emerge from this situation.

This is a reply to your writing regarding Fr. Kattackal’s retirement. You kind of projected that Bishops’ action was unfair and Fr. Kattackal has no other place to go. By reading your writing I thought the same. I am fairly new here in California and go to the Orange county church for Sunday Mass for the last two years. I started talking to other people in the community about this unfair decision and found out something different and the history of Santa Ana Church.
Bishop Anagadiath never appointed Fr. Kattackal as the vicar or an employee of the diocese or ever paid salary to Fr. Kattackal. Palai Bishop released Fr. Kattackal to Orange county Latin Bishop, Tod Brown, for an year, at the request of Bishop Gregary Karattemprel, for the spiritual benefit of Orange County Malayalee community before the formation of the diocese of Chicago.
Bishop Tod Brown appointed Fr. Kattackal as the parochial Vicar to one of his Churches and terminated his service within the next three years. Fr. Kattackal worked as a guest priest in one of the Churches in LA diocese in his fourth year of service in the US.When Orange County community bought the church in the name of Syro Malabar diocese of Chicago, Fr. Kattackal transitioned himself under Chicago Diocese. Bishop Angadiath have knowledge about his but never paid him monthly salary. Fr. Kattackal took the stand that “if I am the one going for shopping, I do not need to be paid”. From that time onwards, Kattackal started looting the church and the community.Fr. Kattackal is wealthier than we all think. He owns room and accommodation in an institution called SEERI in Kottayam, Kerala. This was paid and owned back at the end of 1990’s and was his retirement home. Fr. Kattackal is also a resort owner in Kerala. He has acquired acres of land some where near two hours drive from Cochin airport, years ago. He cheated his disciples in California and invested all his money in his family trust for the last ten years. You also mentioned that Fr.Kattackal is the only Priest probably did so much conversion to Catholicism. Based on what I gathered, he must have done more than that. One family told me that they witnessed Fr.Kattackal providing four Sacraments to a single person in one day. ie. Baptism, Reconciliation, Holly Communion and Wedding on a Sunday.
On his recent trip to India, he stopped at Japan and gave Holly Communion to a Japanese lady. It is not known when the lady had any other sacraments received. If you have a $100 bill you can get all seven sacraments in a day from Fr. Kattackal. Our Bishop Angadiath is at the mercy of Fr. Kattackal now. Fr. Kattackal refused Bishop’s order and told Bishop what he is going to do.
Fr. Kattackal now do not mind having another priest but he will stay at the rectory and continue his back ally cheap ministry, like drug dealers. We will wait and see until next Sunday, if Bishop Angadiath has any administrative capability left in dealing with this issue.

i agree with you what is said about fr. Kattakal. He is retired and goes with his aging problems. He follows his own rules and not to stop it. the same story with all other priests in the diocese of Chicago. at least 10 of them are here without a valid visa and had much difficulty in gettig a legal status here. once they start job here, they see it is good to make some dollars and forget the policies or norm of their respective dioceses. they need to keep the job otherwise if they return to their diocese they will not be accepted. regarding preachers, since most of the people in Kerala realized the true nature of preachers, they have no income like it was before,even nuns in India have their own retreat team. some of them having no job as retired professors or principals and it is nice occasion to get good meals at former students home and having some talks and make money like fr. karuppan do for marriage classes. marriage course is a good occasion for making couple of dollars. karuppan makes a good money by Cana course. free airfare and good pocket money for telling masala jokes for few hours. In Tampa, the priest is trying to make some money from Real estate guys but majority are against. if the priest won't able to buy a property he is going to loose his job and will be called back. if he gets the place, even if he is thrown out, he can go home with few bucks. please allow the priests to make some money and have a secret good life. the pictures of Kanaya churches are so beautiful and congrats to those priests and leadership. if they are getting a diocese soon, it is because of their unity and hard work. at least their leaders are supporting the people and not causing division by secret phone calls and crooked chats.thank Gid, at least the bishop and his secretary have some thing to do, go after the Kanaya bishops and participate in the blessings. otherwise they may have to travel to India for bored lif here.

I am also from Syro Malabar church Orange conty. The comment about Fr. Jacob's retirement is true. He has accumulated lot of property and bank balance for the last 10 years and refusing to vacate the place after the bishop appointed another priest. This is clear cut "black mailing" of the community. It is yet to be known if the bishop has any administrative power left in this case...The community welcomes the appointment of another priest..Fr. Jacob, this is the time to show your integrity. Please "obey" the authorities and vacate the rectory.. you do not have any support from anybody in this case..

The living animal on earth that you never find in heaven is the Syro Malabar Priests that we typically find in USA. There are few fraudulent priests’ uses the faithful money, meaning they misuse church resources for their dirty dram in the name of God. The Chicago SMC-Diocese is filled with parasites and them is the best example of that.
The bishop failed to keeps order in the Church and he is considered as an infidel and a silent supporter of a pagan religious cult. The diocese is under the influence of satanic advisors. I do not know how they could show up for a Holy Mass on every Sunday without any shame.
The only solution to remedy the ugly situation of SMC-USA is that to remove the bad elements from all churches and restore the Crucifix in the Cathedral in its full life-force. Therefore Brothers in Christ please call Kakkanad during the Synod and voice your concern to the SMC-Curia.
On loan priests and money exchangers of the SMC-Chicago church please keep quiet, this is our faith matter. You prove your might and vocational duty in the cathedral Altar first. #23 is so right, I felt so repelled by some of these priest's actions. Why don't they get proper orientation when they come to a new culture.
Also it is very important that they bring priests with excellent character, otherwise how can they make a good impression on our children.

we should listen to the catholic church's teaching. if not do we have any right to advice our own children ?
