ചിക്കാഗോ: തിരുനാള്‍ സമാപന ദിവസം. ആഘോഷമായ പാട്ട് കുര്‍ബാന മൂന്നരക്ക് തുടങ്ങും.
ഉച്ചക്ക് ഇത്തമ്മ കാണ്‍കെ രണ്ട്‌ സ്മാളും, കാണാതെ മൂന്ന് ലാര്‍ജും വലിച്ചു. അസ്സല്‍ പന്നി ഉലത്തിയത് അങ്ങനെ. ഇത്തമ്മക്ക് അങ്ങനെ ഒരു കൈക്കുരുത്തമുണ്ട് കേട്ടോ. അവളുടെ പന്നിയിറച്ചി ഒരു സ്പെഷ്യല്‍ തന്നാ.
മൂന്നരക്ക് അങ്ങ് എത്തിയാല്‍ മതിയല്ലോ എന്ന് വച്ചു നടു ഒന്ന് നിവര്‍ക്കാനായി പതുക്കെ ഒന്ന് തല ചരിച്ചു. പിന്നെ സ്വന്തം കൂര്‍ക്കം വലി ആസ്വദിച്ചു ചത്ത പോലെ ഉറങ്ങിപ്പോയ്. പിന്നെ രണ്ട്‌ മണിക്ക് ഇത്തമ്മ കുത്തി വിളിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ആണ് കണ്ണ് തുറക്കുന്നത്. അവളുടെ അപ്പഴത്തെ കോലം കണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ ഞെട്ടിപ്പോയി. മില്‍മ ബൂത്ത് രണ്ടും താഴെക്കൂടി സ്റ്റീല്‍ കമ്പിയുള്ള ബ്രായിട്ടു പൊക്കി നിറുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ ഫറവോയുടെ മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ പണിതു വച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആ കുന്ത്രാണ്ടാമുണ്ടല്ലോ, അതു രണ്ടെണ്ണം സൈഡ് ലേക്ക് ചരിഞ്ഞു വീണു പോയ പോലെ. ഏതായാലും പത്തു മുപ്പത്തഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷമായി കാണാത്ത ഒരു ബ്ലൌസ് ഏടുത്ത് കുത്തി ക്കയറ്റിയിട്ട് ബെഡ് ലേയ്ക്ക് ക്മിഴ്ന്നടിച്ചങ്ങു വീണു. സത്യം പറയാമല്ലോ വേമ്പനാട്ടു കായലിലെ ഓളം പോലെയാണ് അവളുടെ കുണ്ടി കിടന്നു കുലുങ്ങിയത്.
എന്നിട്ട് അവള്‍ എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞു, ചേട്ടാ, ഈ ബ്ലൌസിന്‍റെ ഹൂക് ഒന്നിട്ടു തരാമോ. കര്‍ത്താവേ, ഞാന്‍ വിചാരിച്ചു. ഇത് ആനയെ ഷടി ഇടിയിക്കും പോലെയാണല്ലോ. കാര്യം അസാദ്യം. കാരണം പറയാമല്ലോ. അവളുടെ അരക്കെട്ടിനു മുകളില്‍ 16 ഇഞ്ച്‌ ന്‍റെ രണ്ട്‌ മൂന്ന് ടയറുകളാണ് . അതിനെയൊക്കെ ഈ അര ചാണ്‍ശീലയില്‍ ഒതുക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ , അതിന് ഈയുള്ളവന് കഴിയില്ല. ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു, "ഇത്തെ, ഇതിനു നമുക്ക് ബിഷപ്പിനെ വിളിക്കാം. സാക്ഷാല്‍ ദൈവം തമ്പുരാനെ തന്നെ ശീലയിട്ടു മറച്ച വീരാളി മന്നനാണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ ബിഷപ്പ്. പിന്നെയാണോ ഇത് !" അവളുടെ വായിലിരിക്കുന്നത് കേള്‍ക്കുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് ഞാന്‍ ബാത്ത് റൂമില്‍ കയറി വാതിലടച്ചു. അപ്പോഴേക്കും അവളുടെ രക്ഷക്കായി ടിറ്റി എത്തി. Praise ദ Lord ! ഹല്ലെലുയ്യ.
മൂന്നരക്ക് മുമ്പേ പള്ളിയിലെത്തി. പാര്‍ക്കിംഗ് ലോട്റ്റ് നിറയെ കസേരകള്‍. പിന്നെ കറമ്പന്റെ വീടിനു മുമ്പില്‍ വണ്ടിയിട്ടിട്ട് ബാവായ്ക്കും പുത്രനും ചൊല്ലി ഓടിക്കിതച്ചു പള്ളിയിലെത്തി സീറ്റ് പിടിച്ചു. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ പിന്നെ ചാപ്പലില്‍ പിറകിലോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു ടീവിയില്‍ പത്തു പതിനഞ്ചു അച്ചന്മാരുടെ പ്രിഷ്ട ഭാഗം നോക്കിയിരുന്നു രണ്ട്‌ മണിക്കൂര്‍ ചിലവിടേണ്ടി വരും. അതിലും ഭേതം വീട്ടിലിരുന്നു പിക്കറ്റ് ഫെന്‍സ് നോക്കിയിരുന്നാല്‍ പോരെ.
ചെന്നതെ ഒരു കാര്യം നോട്ട് ചെയ്തു. കൊച്ചമ്മമാരോക്കെ അടിപൊളി ഡ്രെസ്സില്‍. മിക്കവാറും കൊച്ചമ്മ മാരുടെ മുന്വശത്ത് കാള വണ്ടച്ചക്രത്തിന്റെ വലുപ്പമുള്ള ബാഡ്ജ്. ചിറയില്‍ ഫാമിലിക്കും പള്ളി പ്രമാണി മാര്‍ക്കും മാത്രം പാര്‍ക്കിംഗ് സൗകര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. ഇന്ന് നല്ല ഒരു തുക വില്ലേജിനു പാര്‍ക്കിംഗ് ഫൈന്‍ വകയില്‍ തടഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്.
പത്തറുപതു തരുണീ മണികളുടെ താലപ്പൊലിയോടെയായിരുന്നു അങ്ങാടി ചക്രവര്‍ത്തിയുടെയും സംഘത്തിന്റെയും എഴുന്നള്ളത്ത്‌. ഏറ്റവും മുമ്പില്‍ സ്പെഷ്യല്‍ കപ്പ്യാര്‍ അപ്പച്ചന് . അദ്ദേഹം വളരെ ഗൌരവത്തില്‍ ധൂപക്കുറ്റി വിറപ്പിച്ചാട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് മന്ദം മന്ദം മുമ്പോട്ട്‌ നീങ്ങി. ധൂപക്കുട്ടിയുടെ മണി ശബ്ദിക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. മണിയുടെ കായ അധികാരികള്‍ ബുദ്ധിപൂര്‍വ്വം മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞതാണെന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. അപ്പച്ചന്റെ കയ്യില്‍ ധൂപക്കുറ്റി കിട്ടിയാല്‍ കൊച്ചു കുട്ടിയുടെ കയ്യില്‍ കളിപ്പാട്ടം കിട്ടുന്നത് പോലെയോ, വെളിച്ചപ്പാടിന്റെ കയ്യില്‍ വാള് കിട്ടുന്ന പോലെയോ ആണെന്ന് മുന്‍ അനുഭവം വച്ചു അധികാരികള്‍ക്ക് അറിയാം.
എതായാല്‍ അപ്പച്ചന് തൊട്ടു പിറകില്‍, ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശ് മാനത്തോളം പൊക്കിപ്പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട്‌ കടവില്‍. പിന്നെ കുര്‍ബാനപ്പുസ്തകം പൊക്കിപ്പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട്‌ ഇടക്കുന്നത്ത്. അതിന് പിറകിലായി പത്തിരുപതു അള്‍ത്താരപ്പിശാച്ചുക്കള്‍. പിന്നെ പത്തു പതിനഞ്ചു വൈദീകര്‍. ഏറ്റവും പിറകില്‍ മരവടിയും കുത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചു വിഡ്ഢിത്തൊപ്പിയും വച്ചു സാക്ഷാല്‍ അങ്ങാടിയത്ത്.
കുര്‍ബാന തുടങ്ങിയതെ കാര്‍മ്മികര്‍ കുറുക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ഓലിയിടാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി. പതിനഞ്ചു പേര് കൂടി 20 പേരുടെ ശബ്ദത്തില്‍ പാടിയത് ഒരു മഹാത്ഭുതമായി മാത്രമേ കാണാനാകൂ.
പ്രദിക്ഷണത്തിന് ശേഷം സ്നേഹവിരുന്ന്. താഴെ ബേസ്മെന്റില്‍. എല്ലാവരും തന്നെ ഓരോന്ന് വീശിയിരുന്നത് കൊണ്ട്‌ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ മേന്മയോ മേന്മക്കുറവോ ആരും ഗൌനിച്ചില്ല.
MG നയിച്ച സംഗീത വിരുന്നായിരുന്നു കലാശപ്പിരിപാടി. അതിന് മുന്‍പ് തന്നെ ഇതുപോലുള്ള അവസരങ്ങളില്‍ എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും തപ്പിത്തടഞ്ഞു എത്തുന്ന രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തല്‍. പിന്നെ ബിഷപ്പിന്‍റെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന. പരിപാടിയുടെ വിജയത്തിനായി. അതിന് മുമ്പ് തന്നെ കാര്‍മേഘം ഉരുണ്ടു കൂടാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. വിശുദ്ധ തോമാശ്ലീഹ മഴ പെയ്യിച്ചു പരിപാടി അലങ്കോലമാക്കില്ല എന്ന് ബിഷപ്പ് പ്രത്യാശ പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. ബിഷപ്പും രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരും, ചിക്കാഗോയിലെ ചോട്ടാ രാഷ്ടീയക്കാരും സ്റ്റേജ് കാലിയാക്കിയതോടെ MG മൈക്ക് ഏടുത്ത്. അതോടെ മഴ പെയ്യുവാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി. ഇതെന്തു കൂത്ത് എന്ന് അത്ഭുതപ്പെട്ട ചിലരോട് വികാരിയച്ചന്‍ ആസ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനെന്ന രീതിയില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. "ബിഷപ്പ് പറഞ്ഞ ഒരു വാക്കും തോമാ സ്ലീഹാക്ക് മനസ്സിലായില്ല. മഴ എന്ന് മാത്രം കെട്ടു. വേനലല്ലേ. മഴയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചതാകാം എന്ന് കരുതി തോമാശ്ലീഹ സ്വര്‍ഗത്തിലെ ആ വലിയ ടാപ്പ്‌ തുറന്ന്. ഭയപ്പെടാനില്ല. ബിഷപ്പ് വ്യക്തമായി വീണ്ടും വിളിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. മഴ ഉടനെ നില്‍ക്കും."
ഇത് പറഞ്ഞ നാക്കെടുത്തില്ല. അതിന് മുമ്പ് വന്ന പോലെ ആ മഴ പോയി. MG വീണ്ടും മൈക്ക് എടുത്തു. സൌണ്ട് കാരന്‍ CD ഇട്ടു. മുമ്പ് റെക്കോര്‍ഡ്‌ ചെയ്ത പാട്ട് ഇട്ടു അദ്ദേഹം വിദഗ്ധമായി ചുണ്ടനക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി. വിവരം കേട്ട നമ്മുടെ ആളുകള്‍ ഈ പ്രഹസനം കണ്‍കുളുര്‍ക്കെ കണ്ടു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
ജോമോനും ചിറയില്‍ കുടുംബത്തിനും പോകാനുള്ള പൈസ പോയി. അവരുടെ നല്ല നിയോഗത്തിന് ദൈവം തമ്പുരാന്‍ തക്ക പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കും എന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം . പക്ഷെ ഇക്കൊല്ലത്തെ തിരുനാള്‍ ചീറ്റിപ്പോയ ഒരു ഓലപ്പടക്കം മാത്രമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് ഖേദ പൂര്‍വ്വം വിലയിരുത്തേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Hello, readers: I did ask achan. "acha please tell me why/what is inportant about the Curtain/thirusheela "he said, there is theology behind the Curtain" Really I asked, I thought it was a symbol. "yes he said, there is a theology behind every symbol, like cross, crucifix... " really I asked, then why acha cross is more important over crucifix? he said both have powerfull theology one cannot be with out the other, like Jesus God+Man together....
but for Syro-Malabar, a bishop (mind it not all bishops of syro-malabar agree with Clavar cross concept.. so it is a concept then..now I am confused..any way let me listen..)so one bishop gives more importance to Clavar cross, though the Clavar Cross was later invention or history in make...if you like Clavar cross, you are more close to a powerfull bishop in kerela and even can become a bishop.... I am sorry, said achen... I think I said too much already....
Now then coming Back the "thirusheela" it is significance of heaven and earth.. just like I said before, the cross and crucifix relationship,.... it is symbol....not that important though it is part of our history, the important thing is Crucifix... Have seen our late Pope John Paul proudly showing His crucified saviour and then Mother Theresa showing off the crucified Jesus? Clavar cross is historically important and/but not theologicaly....
Then there is this: Most the new-bee syro-malabar catholics those came from Gulf coutries did not have an opportunity to be with priests or church as they had to practice their faith in a confined area.. so there were spiritualy controlled by their own time and place and added to that the priests offered great salvation while they were in Gulf for their utter faith... without any theological basic. Now Here in USA they get a chance without brountries and no one to monitior their faith and they are placing all their faith under the feet of a priest/ more importanitaly under bishop .. only later they find that they are made a fool and some bishop and priest are after their money which of course, people lived here for a long time knew.. so it is like Indian politics... church is taking advantage of lack of theology of the people..
People can not distinguish the differance between symbol and theology.. signs and history...what is important for faith and socially acceptable..

So, in short, the crucifix is more important than Clavar Cross/thirusheela even for the history of Syro-malabar church ( which I will ask achan yet another time) and Alter is more important than Cross......

Let the priest and the fraudulent bishop Angadiath proves his holiness in the holy Altar. It is very cheep for person to elevate the bishop as the supreme deity of the SMC Chicago where the bishop has already failed in USA as clean shepherd. The Bishop couldn’t find time to bless the Coppell church, while he was simply attending a retreat in Bellwood cathedral along with the parishioners. Now the Bellwood cathedral becomes a Hellwood with the Bishop as its head. Yesterday’s English mass was horrible without any rhythms and order, not even able to get an atmosphere of a catholic mass. However I really appreciate the kids those who participated in the coir, they were literally ignorant about the happenings and history of the SMC-Chicago.
Yesterday we also witnessed garlands of appreciation to the Bishop and to the Vicar by the cultural committee president. What did the Vicar for the faithful, he was a silent Judas of the SMC who clinging into his position by picking whatever on his way for his survival. For the majority of SMC in USA there are few priests like him who downgraded their vocation to a level satanic worship and seriously engaged in cloning a crucifix for their own personal hidden agenda. If the Vicar is a true priests let him come out say what is the clever cross? Please do not elevate the creation above the creator itself.
If you are catholic act like catholic, behave like a catholic and prove it in front of holy altar as a good shepherd. More than 65% of the smc-chicago goers are not really serious about their faith matters. They swallow whatever the priests and bishop omit, because they lost their faith seed and eagerly waiting for overtime hours for its double pay. oney cannot buy faith, church cannot give you heaven, read the Holy Bible and you will be revealed in due time.

THAT IS THE ONLY IDENTITY I CAN SAY.)TRYING TO INTEREPT THE PHOTOGRAPHING GUY BY TOUCHING HIS CAMERA. LUCKILY THE POLICE INTERVENED OR THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WAKE ON MONDAY, JULY 5. NOW BODY NOW THE MEANING OF THE SONGS, INSTEAD EVERY BODY ENJOYED THE DRUM BEAT. MR.SREEKUMAR TRIED HIS BEST. THE MOST I LOVED IS THE FUNNY VIDEO WHICH WAS DISPLAYED ON THE SCREEN! HE WAS SHOWING THE BUTTACKS AND THE BOOBS IN ENLARGED AT THE TIME OF DANCES. THANKS TO HIM MANY IN THE BACK WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE IT CLEARLY WITHOUT HIS VIDEO CLIP! ST. THOMAS WON’T FORGET THE ATTROCITIES DONE TO THE PARISHNERS BY THE SINNER SHEPHERDS. COULD YOU GUYS NOTICE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PARISHNERS ATTENDED THE FUNCTION WAS LESS THI
This bishop and priests are taking advantage of the poor (spiritually and educationally)Syro Malabar community.
If you really compare before and after the SMC community, all of you will agree that there were more peace and love with in the members before SMC. I dont think there were any spiritual problem prior to SMC - Chicago. Most probably, 99% of the people would have reached heaven, if SMC Chicago was not here. Because, people were living happily and with more friendship. They did not have an chance to fight. They only had time to work, do their duties as a parent, help their fiends and family in USA and back at home.
Now the situation had changed, what caused all these trouble?
Does any of our priests practice what they preach?
Can our bishop and priests has the courage to publish their bank accounts?
Does our SMC do any blessing with out money?
To the Readers again: Believe me.. I love Catholic church,bishops and priests. Jesus is the foundation of our faith and Jesus instituted the church, on which our faith is based on.
It is bishop's activity or ideology that I do not support... I love our bishop for who he is. I certainly hope Holy Spirit will enlighten our bishop and priests. Why I pray like this?
We are all SMC from kerala and we do have Catholic failth and SMC tradition,right? Wrong...We are from different diocese some diocese accepts Clavar cross and thirusheela and some do not. The faithful from Kerela are from different dioces and so it not right to impose for the Bishop of Chicago the traditions which changnacherry or Pala may have...it will only confuse people. So then there should be a combination of traditions from kerela so that I can tell a "Saipe" see "Saipe" this is our faith we have have from St. Thomas and as a st.Thomas Chritians we do and believe. In" the creed" "vishasa pramanam" we say..Jesus crucified, died and was buried and on the third day he rose again... it is not that he built a Clavar cross and thirusheela, let us take Crucfix and Altar seriously.
Even Malakara church has Thirusheela.. so SMC is diffrent in having it? NO! It church in chicago that is based on divide and rule. They are dividing the people and not trying to bring every one together.. as we are from different diocese and from different churches.. How can people do get it and not the priest and bishop? So again ""water in the stream will not clear(will be muddy), unless the hogs(pigs) are not out of water" I do not want my bishop to be a great divider, rather a unifier.. I do believe thqt he can do it and so do the priest in their respective churches... educate them(people) and spiritualise them and not to take advantage of the people(smc) that came from Gulf...Chicago diocese and authorities.should stop saying "those who want to come to church , let them come..rather remember ...Jesus came for and to sinners... I want my priest and bishop to be an example... I do not want to know how they became a bishop.. since now he is one let him be wise and spiritual...
Why the heck did you offer $30,000 for parking lot? Do you need 60 parking spaces to park your car? Why didn't you offer $500 and let others have an opportunity to pay their share as well?
Give $10 per member, per week. If your church cannot sustain with that much income, then you have too big a facility. You built too much. You bit more than you could chew. Spit it out.
If you want to give more, then give to real charitable organizations. Instead of giving to show off in front of others, give to help the poor.
We are asked to give 10% to God.
How do you give 10% to God? What is God's address if you want to mail a check to God?
Recall the little lessons you learned in your childhood.
God is everywhere.
God exists in everything.
God lives in the poor people around you.
God lives in the poor people in other countries.
When you help the poor people, when you give to make it possible for the hungry to afford a meal, when you help build shelter for the homeless, you are giving to God.

Seems like you are a ex-gulf. The problem we are seeing with people who migrate to USA is the inability to cope with the "incresed freedom " that they are having now. It includes , finacial freedom , religious freedom , freedom to have all kind of luxuray , physical space , and no need to share any thing any more etc. People are trying get things that were deprived to them , espically " positions in the society" . Lots of people are using that "freedom in better ways , sad to say that people are misusing it to get the "position" at any cost. And our religious leader are pretty good in recognozing the human nature , to be recognized at any cost and using these individaul in such a manipulaated ways to get things in thier own ways . If you guys look into your local mission / communities you can see ex-gulf people has a predominant role as problem makers among others..
Dear Vishasikkalaee , nammudaae religious ( I am not going to use spiritual leaders , they don't deserve that notion) leaders " errinnittutharunna stannamanagal enna errachi kasshanathil mayanghi , mandanmarrakallae. Once you wake up from the " mooda swargam" , you will be treated as Curry leaves and will get rejected by the religious leaders , as it is happening now...Jagathrae , be careful , your community life and harmony is most important.. Don't let others to spilt , divide and rule you guys.. Keep up the courage to take of the masks they are wearing now.. We don't need any more " attintholluanninnae chennaykkal " in our communities.. With unity we can change , we can reform and bring harmony...

CHIRAYANS SPENT MONEY TO SHOW UP THEMSELVES . THEY OR FR.ANTONY IS NOT GOING TO BE BLESSED BY ST. THOMAS, INSTEAD THEY WIIL BE PUNISHED BY GOD FOR BLOCKING THE PARKING LOT AND THE CHURCH BUILT BY THE PARISHNERS.EVERY ONE WHO CAME TO PARK IN THE CHURCH PARKING LOT "CURSED" THEM AND THE PRIEST. THAT IS THE BLESSING THEY GOT ON JULY 4th, 2010.
