- Dear SYRO MALABAR VOICE Please bring the new PARKING + GROTTO conspiracy to people's attention. The new Parking Lot and Grotto seem to be a VERY secret agenda of Syro Malabar Church Authorities.
In Chicago we spend more than 10 Million for the church, 2.2 Million for Bishop House and a lousy office place for 850K. A Total of 13Million + in a very distressed, dilapidated place. Clearly this gave the chance for some so-called leaders to put their names in the church wall. Tell me, who would invest 10 Mil+ in a place like HELLWOOD? We could have purchased a beautiful church somewhere in DesPlaines or other decent town for half the price. The six churches the Knanaya community purchased, especially the one in Morton Grove is a prime example. I bet if the Voice had raised its voice at that time, many mistakes could have been avoided during the above mentioned 13 Million extravaganzas . Anyway, past is past and all we can do now is .. look into future. The Members of this parish want to know about The NEW Parking Lot – What’s Church Plan on doing these? What’s the Budget? How many new parking spaces are going to be created? Where the Grotto is going to be built? How the Grotto will look like? Will there be a Mani Cross on the Grotto too? What’s the architecture diagram for the new Grotto? What will be Bishop’s new acts on the Grotto? (The recent things in the Coppel Church bring down all respect to the Bishop and I feel like it’s a Ghost House rather than a Bishop House) Without the above questions answered, how can the people contribute to the above project? The parish trustees and some other parish council members are doing another irresponsible job as usual. The problem we have among malayalees is we take everything for granted. They act like this Yeah.. The Grotto Plan and Parking Plan are approved in Pastoral Council Meeting. So the Public Donkeys does not need to know anything about it. JUST Pay the $$$ and co-operate with the church. Frankly, my case is I am very reluctant to say No to Church Things. This could be the same scenario with many other people too. I HOPE SYRO MALABAR VOICE will take a strong interest in this and bring this issue into the RED RADAR. That way atleast this will be handled with some responsibility

Why can't you just keep your wallt closed? If you must spend, then give help to the REAL charitable organizations that are feeding the hungry, colthing the naked, building homes and hopes for the homeless.
Get involved in REAL charitable organizations. Spend some time reading what they do. Spend some time talking to them on the phone. Spend some time working alone side them. Then you will understand the meaning of "Go in peace to love and serve the Lord". -

A good percentage of U.S. Syro-Malabarians hate to see him failing again and again. He should have left the Chair at least two years ago. If he had a nominal foresight or common sense he wouldn’t have to face this much shame (well, if he knows the meaning of the word). Just read this Blog. The spectators see more than the players. Examples are plenty: Will anyone try to buy a house, in a housing complex (with a Home Owners Association) for church purpose. Fr. Angadiath did it in Dallas, in 1980s, ignoring the people who advised him not to do so. He just followed the directions of “experts” like Mr. K! He (we) lost money in that deal – who cares it is public money! Besides the “sweet” real estate deals in Chicago, what are they doing with the cathedral building? Garland, TX, church building, being built, is another dumpster now – they could have a better building and land for much less money. Well, who cares, it is the public money! The wallet holders, control the waste.
Mar Angadiath, resign and select a greener pasture – like a monastery life.
What do we do? HOLD ON TO YOUR WALLET, don’t get ripped off. I would put the greater blame on the ignorant lay people. There are a good number of members who are willing and able to hand out money to be wasted; and the smart “leaders” take advantage of these “followers”. STOP PAYING FOR USELESS PURPOSE. STOP SUPPORTING THE VAINGLORIOUS. Syro in the U.S., under the current leadership, is a disaster, no doubt.

A bad beginning makes a bad ending unless a change. The Bishop with his circus team needs to be calling back by the SMC Synod. The SMC-USA has spoiled the 2000 years old good reputation of Syro Malabar church. For any practicing Catholics, the SMC-USA Bishop is considered as an infidel because he rejects the crucifix in a catholic Altar. The Vatican needs to remove him from his current role as the Bishop of SMC-USA.
There few priests like Fr. Panthalani in USA specifically funded and designed to support the Manichean cross and to support the SMC-Chicago Bishop with the cost of faithful. The so called priests are like cluster flies in the midst of Jack fruits and are modern time Judases. He was tempted by the Satan and he cannot resist because of the power of $. We do not want opportunist persists like him here.
There are many good Syro Malabar Priests in India and in USA. We need their service here for our spiritual growth. Now we are at cross roads because of the fraudulent SMC-Bishop Angadiath, the self claimed good shepherd who is really a wolf.

Our God is not a punishing God. Church readings are all about curses and threat meaning parts from the Bible.
Yes, that is their tricks here in Chicago also. The Priests are being instructed to do that because the Bishop thinks that the people are like Chicago-SMC in other part of USA. The Chicago Mass is verse; Sunday Mass is for the show time and for business only and there is no spirituality in the mass.
As Christians, we will never be punished for sin. That was done once for all. “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). Because of the sacrifice of Christ, God sees only the righteousness of Christ when He looks at us. Our sin has been nailed to the cross with Jesus, and we will never be punished for it.
Therefore be with Crucifix at the ends of the earth. -
