Understanding what is a Catholic Church and what are the Catholic values and teachings will better understand the Holy Catholic Church. The failure of the Chicago Syro-Malabar Diocesan hierarchy to show and teach the very basic catholic values, devalued the real church from the minds of many. Forced infusion of fake ideologies with a wrong understanding that the "simple and ordinary “ laity will accept "anything" if painted and presented in the name of Christ is causing severe confusion among the people, the end result of which is not predictable now.
The present propaganda to preserve faith through the installation of Mar Thoma Cross is fake because it got no credibility of having any connection with, Bible, Jesus Christ or his disciples. The early Church formed its basis and Faith from the way the Apostles and their representatives practiced Christianity and conducted worship.
Authoritarianism, the church authorities practicing with a false pretense of authority given under Cannon Law, is the root cause of all the present problem. Of course the Canon law of the eastern churches grants unlimited power to the bishop, both spiritual and temporal powers. In temporal matters a bishop has full power to enact, interpret and enforce laws in his diocese and over his laity. In other words, the present cannon law concentrates legislative, judicial and executive powers in one hand and without question. The faithful, whose money, blood and sweat behind all church properties and institutions, are left with any power but degraded to mere spectators.
In its preamble, the oriental canon law specifies that it is enacted only for Antiochean, Alexandrian and Chaldean churches etc. The Chaldeanisation of Syro-Malabar church is to get total control to the Bishops under this oriental cannon law against ‘‘THE LAW OF THOMAS” which was the tradition among the Kerala Christians. Fight for the Holy Mass as per Chaldean rite, and the projection of the Manichean cross as ‘Mar Thoma cross’ etc are designed to portray our church as the ‘daughter-church’ (Puthreesabha) of the Chaldean church, to justify the Eastern Canon law and preventing any laity intervention as practiced under the law of Thomas. This simply translate to ‘GIVE YOUR MONEY AND DON’T ASK ANY QUESTION Policy ” which is dominating our diocese which shows arrogance.
How can a church that originated in A.D 50’s be a daughter-church of the Chaldean church which birth only in the 4th century? Also how a Persian cross which is confirmed as originated between AD 600-700 be the symbol of the church which proclaims its roots way back to St. Thomas?.
Protecting True Faith is a Christian responsibility which is as equal as fighting the evil and that is the model left by our forefathers for us to follow

I have decided earlier that I am not honouring the Bishop by kissing his ring.
Now I have decided to give my money to the poor instead of giving to the Syro Malabar Church.
-- Here is what my suggeston to Coppel+ all USA people -- (Chicago-We do not have the same BALLS like you).
It's NOT enough to stop giving the money alone. Also we have to ask for what we have given already. ANd we are asking the money because of the wrong usage.
If we send the letters of wrong usage of the MONEY by authority, the REAL HEAT will start. Not from Chicago, it will be from Rome. Because the wrong usage of the money and acts can be portrayed as "Money SCAM" + "WRONG usage of POWER".
1. -- Money is Power ---
Form a religious association.org and collect the money. Use the money as the force to enforce our FAITH.
2. Give a written request to authority to give back your MONEY. And specify the reasons why you are requesting your hard earn money.
MAY BE, SYRO MALABAR VOICE can DRAFT A LETTER. I prefer to do the same in Chicago. But I am lacking of all IDEAS. HELP SYRO MALABAR VOICE.

Getting to The Root Cause of Our Current Problems -- Tom Varkey
I disagree with the argument that the present problems in the Syro-Malabar Church is authoritarianism practiced by the Syro-Malabar Church clergy. Of course, that is one of the causes but not the main cause. The real root cause is that the authorities have deviated from the Word of God so much that they are in total darkness. Syro-Malabar Church has lost its identity with Jesus Christ. Instead of trying to get back to its identity which lies in the Word of God and in the Cross of Christ, the authorities are totally ignoring the Word of God and the Crucifix. In order to restore sanity, we must reinstate the Crucifix and the reason is not merely because more people support it than the Persian cross.
In Jer. 8:9 God asks through the Prophet Jeremiah: “Since they have rejected the Word of God, what kind of wisdom can they have?” Without divine wisdom, it is impossible to govern the Church of Jesus Christ. That is why we have to bring “every thought of every Christian obedient to Jesus Christ” as Paul said in 2 Cor. 10:5 (or so). The wisest man who ever lived, Solomon realized this. That is why when God asked him to ask anything, he asked for wisdom knowing well that wisdom is absolutely needed to rule God’s people (1 Kings 3:9). Our authorities as well as we Christians should all ask God for wisdom. But even more importantly, we need to obey God and receive the Holy Spirit “whom God gives to those who obey God” (Acts 5:32) who is the source of wisdom. Since our authorities are not willing to obey either their authorities or God by obeying His Word, they can never have divine wisdom. Remember, in one of my earlier articles I pointed out how even an obedient donkey can be wiser than a Bishop! Obedience makes all the difference.
Part B of "Getting to the Root Cause ..." Tom Varkey
So when Jesus tells us in Jn. 3:14 “Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, the Son of Man MUST be lifted up,” there is no other viable choice other than to obey it. We cannot improve God’s plans. If He asks us to lift up the Son of Man on a pole as Moses lifted the serpent, we MUST lift His crucified body on the Cross. We can never hope that a cross without His body on it like the Persian Cross can be as good as the Crucifix as some of our Syro-Malabar Bishops are so erroneously thinking to outsmart God. If they are not convinced, I challenge our authorities like His Excellency Mar Jacob Angadiath or anyone else to rearrange the human body and come up with one as beautiful as the body we have. No matter how hard they may try, they simply cannot and will not succeed.
Ever thought of the reason why it is impossible? Because the designer of the human body is God Himself and nobody can improve what God has designed or what He offers. The way most of our Syro-Malabar authorities like Mar Powathil and others think, I wonder whether they have already rearranged some members of their bodies trying to outsmart God. I wonder if they have reordered their heads in the place of their rear end judging from the way they think. How else can they have the audacity to say that they can improve on the Crucifix which God offers for the salvation of man by replacing it with the Persian cross! How else could they think that sending a Commission to Coppell is the solution to resolve the issues when the early Church never appointed a single Commission to resolve any issues in the early Church? Judging from the way they are thinking nowadays makes me wonder whether they are thinking with their rear ends rather than their heads because they have exchanged the locations of you know what in their bodies. No wonder they have no answer to the simple question, “which part of MUST (in Jn. 3:14) don’t you understand?” Sorry, I didn’t mean to ridicule anyone; I only want our Church authorities to put on their thinking hats and THINK.
