Since the Church consecration took place on December 19, 2010, Fr. Varghese and Bishop Mar Angadiath have been playing hard ball with the parishioners of Coppell. The year 2011 may very well be the “Make or Break Year” for the Bishop and the Diocese and its supporters. As I indicated in my Christmas message, these unscrupulous people including the entire Chicago hierarchy have been very unpredictable in their “on again, off again” politics which they have been playing with the parishioners of Coppell as well as the other innocent victims in other parishes in the Diocese like Garland and Chicago and the one in New Jersey.
Their dirty and politically-motivated games to sneak in the Mar Thoma Cross and the notorious “Viri” have pretty much made them behave like the Pharaoh and the Egyptians who stubbornly refused the Israelites to go to the land of Canaan to worship their God in spite of God sending them plague after plague to repeatedly punish them. But their hearts only turned harder and harder and they became angrier and angrier towards the Israelites. Only when God sent them the 10th plague which was the killing of all the firstborns in Egypt (Ex. 11) did Pharaoh finally agree to let the Israelites go. But even after he consented them to leave, he and the Egyptians decided to follow the Israelites all the way up to the Red Sea. There they were all, without exception, drowned when Moses lifted his staff in obedience to God’s commandment.
In obedience to God’s commandment, Jesus Christ, God’s own Son has lifted not just a mere staff or a piece of wood but His own image on two pieces of wood which we call the Crucifix. This time, the followers of the Mar Thoma Cross are about to drown in the Red Sea. Not in the Red Sea near the Mediterranean but in the Red Sea of red ink -- financial bankruptcy and the full destruction of the so called Chicago Syro-Malabar Diocese. Yet like the Egyptians, the worshipers of the Mar Thoma Cross are chasing the worshipers of the Crucifix to destroy them without knowing the tragic fate that God has in store for them. The Bishop and his folks are pushing “the proverbial last straw that will break the camel’s back”. This will happen when they install the Mar Thoma Cross in the Garland Church or if they continue to unload any more dirty games on the parishioners of Coppell, whichever comes first. This will be the defining moment when the Diocese will be hit with the lawsuit and the Diocese will slowly but steadily sink into financial bankruptcy.
The innocent parishioners of Coppell have been duped several times. They refuse to be taken advantage of any more. So they are going to be much more tight-fisted in their future contributions to the church since they have finally learned the lesson that they can never trust the Bishop and Fr. Varghese. This financial squeeze coupled with the lawsuit against the Diocese will sound the final death bell for the Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago. In Prov. 29:1 we read: “A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed without remedy.” This is true not only for people, but also for a sprawling institution like the Chicago Diocese with its stiff-necked Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. A Red Sea is awaiting the Diocese to drown it once for all – unless of course the Bishop refrains from continuing to push “the last straw that will break the camel’s back”. If the Bishop continues his policy of ramming the Mar Thoma Cross down the throats of any more parishes like Garland or if Fr. Varghese harasses the parishioners of Coppell next time, they will be doing just that. They can choose whichever they want in the New Year 2011. The ball is in their court. Bishop please act and show you’re obedient to your call.
The priests of the SMC-USA diocese harass the parishioners have been continually duped under Bishop Angadiath. Since the Bishop has admitted his past mistakes it is time for him to put faith into action through reparation and timely remediation of his mistakes for the common interest of the Church. I do know why our self elevated spiritual leaders of the SMC-Chicago diocese cannot understand the world.
The Vicars are going their own way without any discipline; the spiritually retarded bishop is going behind his pagan ideology. While the Faithfull’s attendance and participation is diminishing and uses the church for their personal benefits and as cultural gathering spot.
Meanwhile other three major religions are still growing in numbers and their core fundamental religious belief became stronger very day while Catholics are diminishing in world wide; Syro Malabar community is one of the examples. We failed to reach out Christ gospel in India and the same thing is repeating in USA under Bishop Angadiath.
If the Diocese wants churches there are lots of abandoned churches through out USA looking for buyers that he can buy and claim himself as one of the promoter of the church by the newly parishes.
Please remove the VIRI and Claver cross from all churches and teach the faithful to worship the Creator alone. Your shining days are over with your elevation of creations above the creator. I hope the good lord will entertain you during year 2011 to accomplish the above goal and let this be your prime most agenda than the diocese’s 10th anniversary celebration in 2011.

അവനു കൂട്ടായി നമ്മുടെ അങ്ങാടിയും അങ്ങാടിയുടെ ആസനം നക്കികളായ കുറെ കള്ളന്മാരും നുണയന്മാരുമായ വൈദികരും, ആണും പെന്നുംകെട്ട കുറച്ചു തന്തയില്ലാത്തവന്മാരും കൂട്ടിനുണ്ട്.
നാണവും മാനവും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഈ എമ്പോക്കി പിഴച്ചവീട്ടില് തോമയെ പള്ളിസബന്തമായ എല്ലാ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തങ്ങളില്നിന്നും മാറ്റി നിര്ത്തണം.
ഇവനെപോലുള്ള നാറികള്ക്ക് പള്ളിഭരണത്തിലല്ല സ്ഥാനം വേണ്ടത് , കൂട്ടികൊടുപ്പിലും ,ക്ലാവര് ക്രെഷിയിലും പോയി ആളാകട്ടെ .

Coppelites are going to be much more tight-fisted in their 2011 contributions to the church since they have finally learned the lesson that they can never trust the Bishop and Fr. Varghese.
Their future contributions to the church will depend on the new parish council election procedure and the vicars behavior since they have finally learned the lesson that they can never trust the Bishop and Fr. Varghese.
This financial squeeze coupled with the lawsuit against the Diocese will sound the final death bell for the Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago.

This diocese has collected enough money from the faithful. They will rub away with it at some point and the priests who are retiring in America as missionaries have made enough too. We will be the looser in all this.

According to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of St. Thomas of Chicago has been noncompliant with its instructions and recommendations.
Specifically, quoting from the report, (from 2003; http://www.bishop-accountability.org/usccb/audit2003/Section_II/syromalabarchicagoil.htm)
"At the conclusion of this audit, the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of St. Thomas of Chicago, Illinois, was issued four Instructions and one Recommendation.
INSTRUCTION 1—The Eparchy should implement a communications policy.
INSTRUCTION 2—The Eparchy should implement a safe environment training program.
INSTRUCTION 3—The Eparchy should implement a background evaluation program and establish a central filing system for these records. The Eparchy should also determine whether criminal record checks have been conducted on the priests coming from India.
INSTRUCTION 4—The Eparchy should appoint a formation coordinator and implement a formation program.
RECOMMENDATION—That the Eparchy make readily available, in printed form, the procedures for making a complaint of sexual abuse of a minor, and that the Eparchy publicize the name of the victim assistance coordinator.
As of December 1, 2003, neither the Instructions nor the Recommendation had been addressed."
As of January 1, 2011, neither the Instructions nor the Recommendation have been addressed, particularly Instructions 3 and 4.
