Dear Bishop Mar Angadiath, you seem to be in a deep slumber – shockingly oblivious of your awesome Christmas promise to us in Coppell on December 19, 2010 but also of things that are happening all around you.
Just to name a few: The parishioner uproar in Garland yesterday, the earth-shaking hierarchical shake-up in Chicago your own backyard this past week, and the plummeting of Sunday Collections in Coppell. If these are not signs of the time, what else is? But you seem to be slumbering away like the character in the classical American short story Rip Van Winkle who slept continuously for 20 years. He slept so long that by the time he got up, he had missed the American Revolution, his daughter who was a child when he fell asleep was married and gone, and even huge trees had grown in between his arms and legs!!
Regarding what happened in Garland -- the parishioners will not settle for anything less than what you promised them in Coppell. Fr. Joji was a witness to it and so were many other parishioners from Garland. So you cannot deny it and now it is reckoning time in Garland. The parishioners have told Fr. Joji yesterday in no uncertain terms that they are going to be back next week and they want the Crucifix and nothing but the Crucifix in their church. Or else, the battle they are going to wage on you in Garland will make the battle in Coppell seem like a cakewalk. So your Excellency, it is time for you to wake up and take note.
Regarding what is happening in Chicago -- Fr. Roy Kaduppil has said good-bye to practically everyone in the U.S. who knew him well. And even many of his own friends have started turning against him secretly if not overtly. It simply shows that when you do things to please men (even it be to please your own Bishop and in your case, Bishop Powathil) at the expense of God-given principles in your life, finally you will prove yourself to be a fool. This according to the Book of Proverbs. I sincerely hope this will be a lesson that you and the many priests who serve you will take to heart to avoid many future heartaches. So your Excellency as well as all you corrupted priests who are listening, it is time for you to wake up and take note.
Regarding the nosedive in the Sunday collection in Coppell yesterday -- this is nothing but the fulfillment of the prophecy that we made in a previous article. In it we told you that we who stand for the Crucifix will stage a two-pronged attack against you if Fr. Joji did not announce in his church on January 9, 2011 that he would only install the Crucifix in the Garland church. We did not see the announcement and therefore, it is time for us to do our thing. We are once again reiterating our resolve to withhold church contributions in all the Syro-Malabar churches throughout the U.S. until we get all forms of Mar Thoma Crosses, small and big, from all our churches. This includes the small crosses placed on Bema and the altar. And this is only the first prong. The second prong (legal action) is yet to come in due course as our attorneys are working on it even as we speak. So your Excellency, it is time for you to wake up and take note.
In all these, the underlying message we have for you is this: “We will call you ‘Your Excellency’, but we will never bow in front of your Cross”. Not now, not tomorrow, never ever again. Therefore, it is time for you to read the handwriting on the wall – in Garland, Coppell, Chicago, … and more places that will follow. If not, your world comprised of the Chicago Syro-Malabar Diocese and all the churches in it will come crashing down and you will be crushed. Then you will know “how evil and bitter it is for you to forsake the LORD your God [and His Cross, the Crucifix]” (Jer. 2:19). By the way, I am humbly requesting all parishioners in all U.S. parishes under the Syro-Malabar Diocese to contribute only $1 or $2 in the collection baskets and no more. We will continue this until His Excellency delivers on his promise to all Syro-Malabar Catholics which he made in Coppell that he will not impose the Mar Thoma Cross on anyone against their will. So once again your Excellency, it is time for you to wake up and take note.
Praise be to our precious Divine Savior Jesus Christ and the Crucifix on which He hung.

We, the catholic belivers in changanasserry Arch Diocese staying in New York are thinking that, going to Syro Malabar Churches, blindly following "Powathil Heresy" is utterly useless.. We have renamed this Marthoma Cross as BJP Cross (ie, Bishop Joseph Powathil Cross)...Bowing in front of this Tamara cross..... Pulling Curtain like in the drama hall..... Seeing Back Side of Kaldaya Priests during mass...... are not acceptable to us. That is why we all are decided to go to "Latin Churches" where they are following real catholic beliefs.....
As every one knows, our former Pontifical Delegate Late Very Rev. Abraham Kattumana was totally against these thoughts framed by powathil and his group. That is why Changanasserry kaldaya group considered him as their biggest enemey and we are now suspecting this lobby was behind the unexpected death of Arch Bishop Kattumana during his visit to Rome to submit the report against Kaldayavalkaranam happening in Syro Malabar Community. That is why After hearing the sad demise of Arch Bishop Kattumana in Rome, The Powathil Lobby celeberated in Vadavathoor Seminary in Kottayam by bursting crackers & distributing sweets.....
This George Angadiyath is also a "vaal" of Powathil and blindly following his foolishness in our churches...... Now these Kaldaya Priests had made our churches as Liturgical Experimental Places... and We should protest this strongly. In our opinion, Better participate in Latin Churches where real catholic beliefs are following...... Do not encourage these malayalee kaldaya priests and bishops...... In Changanasserry Arch Diocese, Priesthood is like a buisness...... So we should not invest our money in this buisness.... Let us cross the boarders and be with Pope of Rome.... Be with Catholic Community..... Be with our God Jesus Christ...... Mother Mary and All the Saints..........
Better Avoid these Bishops & Priests..... If they are not coming back to real catholic belief.... Our Syro will become a big "ZERO" in future.
The whole SMC is an absolute waste! This is taking us back centuries and in a place like America it still thrives? Makes us all wonder what the state of our community is. അങ്ങ് ഈ വലിയ സ്ഥാനം ഒഴിഞ്ഞു നാട്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു പോകുകയാണെന്ന് ബ്ലോഗു ദ്വാരാ ഈ എളിയ സഹപാഠി അറിഞ്ഞു. വളരെ ഖേദത്തോടുകൂടിയും അതിലേറെ സന്തോഷത്തോടുകൂടിയും ഈ വാര്‍ത്ത ഞാന്‍ ഹൃദയാല്‍മനാ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തു. ഖേദം തോന്നിയതിനു പല കാരണങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ട്. ഒന്നാമതായി വളരെ പ്രതീക്ഷകളോട് കൂടി അമേരിക്കയില്‍ എത്തിയ അങ്ങ് ഇവിടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ മാത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു , ഒരൊറ്റ മിത്രത്തെ പോലും സമ്പാദിക്കാനാവാതെ അകാലത്തില്‍ വിടവാങ്ങുന്നല്ലോ എന്നോര്‍ത്ത്. സെമിനാരിയില്‍ വച്ചു ഞാന്‍ എപ്പോഴും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിരുന്ന മിടുക്കന്മാരില്‍ അഗ്രഗണ്യനായിരുന്നു അങ്ങ്. കഴിവ് കൊണ്ടും സാമര്‍ത്ഥ്യം കൊണ്ടും മറ്റു വൈദീക വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളെക്കാള്‍ , അങ്ങ് എപ്പോഴും ഒരു പടി മുന്‍പില്‍ ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ. ഞാന്‍ പലപ്പോഴും അസൂയയോടെ വീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു ബഹുമുഖ പ്രതിഭ.! പ്രസിദ്ധനായ ഒരു വാഗ്മി. അതിലേറെ ഒരു ബുദ്ധിശാലി.! തീരുമാനങ്ങളെടുക്കാന്‍ അതി സൂക്ഷ്മന്‍! അണുവിട പോലും തെറ്റാത്ത sharp ആയിട്ടുള്ള തീരുമാനങ്ങളില്‍ പിതാക്കന്മാര്‍ പോലും ഉപദേശം തേടിയിരുന്ന അഭിനവ ചാണക്യന്‍!........... പക്ഷെ എന്ത് സംഭവിച്ചു? ... ആ പ്രതിഭാ ശക്തി അങ്ങില്‍ വളര്‍ത്തിയ ആത്മ വിശ്വാസത്തോടൊപ്പം അങ്ങ് അറിയാതെ തന്നെ അങ്ങയുടെ മനസ്സില്‍ അഹംഭാവത്തിന്റെ വിത്തുകള്‍ സാത്താന്‍ വിതച്ചോ? ചിലപ്പോള്‍ അങ്ങ് അത് അറിഞ്ഞു കാണുകയില്ല!...... പക്ഷെ ജനം അത് മണത്തറിഞ്ഞു, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും അമേരിക്കയിലെ മലയാളികള്‍........അങ്ങ് ഇവിടെ വന്നിട്ട് ഇപ്പോള്‍ എത്ര വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ ആയി?......ഏറിയാല്‍ ഒരു 6 അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ 7 ല്‍ താഴെ... അത്രയുമേ ആയിട്ടുള്ളൂ.... ഞാന്‍ വന്നിട്ട് വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ 30 കഴിഞ്ഞു...............ഇവിടെയുള്ള ആളുകളുടെ രീതികളും സ്വഭാവവും ഒക്കെ പഠിക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ കുറച്ചു സമയം എടുക്കും. ഒരൊറ്റ രാത്രി കൊണ്ട് എല്ലാം നേരെ ആക്കാമെന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ചു പോയാല്‍ , അതോടെ അടി തെറ്റി ....... എല്ലാവരും പിന്തുടര്‍ന്ന് പോന്നതും അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതും ആയ ചില ആചാരങ്ങളും ഭക്തി മാര്‍ഗങ്ങളും ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ട്. അതെല്ലാം പിഴുതു കുപ്പേല്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു രാത്രി പുലരുമ്പോള്‍ എല്ലാം ക്ലാവര്‍ മാര്‍ഗം എന്ന് വാശി പിടിച്ചാല്‍ , പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയരും, പ്രതിരോധം ഉണ്ടാകും....അതിനു വെറുതെ ആളുകളെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും, കുത്തിത്തിരുപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ നോക്കിയിട്ടും ഒന്നും കാര്യം ഇല്ല. .... ഇവിടത്തെ പള്ളികളുടെയും , അരമനയുടെയും ആകെ വരുമാന മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ഈ ഭക്ത ജനങ്ങള്‍ തരുന്ന ഒറ്റ ഡോളര്‍ ബില്‍ ആണല്ലോ . അല്ലാതെ പാലായിലെ അരമനക്ക് ഉള്ളതുപോലെ മുണ്ടക്കയത്തു റബര്‍ തോട്ടവും , തോപ്രാം കുടിയില്‍ കുരുമുളക് തോട്ടവും കട്ടപ്പനയില്‍ ഏലത്തോട്ടവും ഒന്നും ഇല്ലല്ലോ!.... ഇടയന്‍ ആടുകള്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ദൈവത്താല്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവന്‍ അല്ലെ?.. അവരെ പരിചരിക്കാന്‍ അല്ലെ അഭിഷിക്തനായത്, അല്ലാതെ ഭരിക്കാന്‍ അല്ലല്ലോ ! ..... അങ്ങയെപോലെ ഉള്ള ഒരു ഹിമാലയന്‍ ജീനിയസിനെ ഉപദേശിക്കാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഒട്ടും ആളല്ല! നമ്മള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ പദവിയുടെയും ബുദ്ധിയുടെയും കാര്യത്തില്‍ ആനയും ആടും പോലെയും , ദാവീദും ഗോലിയാത്തും പോലെയുമുള്ള അന്തരവും, ഭീമനും ബകനും പോലെയുള്ള വ്യത്യാസവും ഉണ്ട്. എങ്കിലും വെറും ഞാഞ്ഞൂലിനും ചിലപ്പോള്‍ പെരുമ്പാമ്പിനെ അപകടത്തില്‍ നിന്നും രക്ഷിക്കാനായേക്കും!... വീണു കിടക്കുന്നവനെ ചവിട്ടുകയാണെന്ന് തെറ്റിദ്ധരിക്കരുത്. എപ്പോഴും പ്രതിപക്ഷ ബഹുമാനമുള്ള ഒരാളാണ് ഈ കൊച്ചാപ്പി. അടര്‍ക്കളത്തില്‍ ശത്രു എത്ര ബലവാനായാലും, അവനെ ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞ പരുക്കുകളോടെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തുവാന്‍ പ്രതിജ്ഞാ ബദ്ധനാണ് ഈയുള്ളവന്‍.... അങ്ങയുടെ കാര്യത്തിലും ഞാന്‍ ഒട്ടും വ്യത്യസ്തനല്ല!....വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മുന്‍പ് നമ്മള്‍ പാലായിലെ മൈനര്‍ സെമിനാരിയില്‍ ഒന്നിച്ചു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സമയം...... കപ്യാര്‍ വര്‍ക്കിച്ചേട്ടന്റെ മകള്‍ റോസ്‌... ഒരു ഹിമ ബിന്ദു ചൂടിയ റോസാ പുഷ്പം ആണെന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ചിന്തിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയ സമയം....വെറും കൌമാരത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ചാപല്യം..........ഒരു വൈദീക വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥി ആയിരുന്ന എന്നില്‍ ആ പനിനീര്‍ പുഷ്പം തൊട്ടുണര്‍ത്തിയ വികാര വിചാരങ്ങള്‍ അനിര്‍വചനീയം ആയിരുന്നു. എത്ര എത്ര ഉറക്കമില്ലാത്ത രാത്രികള്‍!.....എങ്കിലും എന്റെ മനസ്സിലെ വികാരങ്ങളും സ്വപ്നങ്ങളും ഒരിക്കല്‍ പോലും ഞാന്‍ ആരോടും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല . എന്റെ മനസ്സിന്റെ ആകാശക്കോട്ടയില്‍, സ്വര്‍ണ്ണ പല്ലക്കില്‍ ഏറി വന്ന്, എന്നും എനിക്ക് സ്വപ്നത്തില്‍ മുത്തം തന്നിരുന്ന എന്റെ റോസിനോട് പോലും!കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പില്‍ വേല ചെയ്യുവാനുള്ള നിയോഗം സ്വയം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു മാതാ പിതാക്കളെയും കുടുംബത്തെയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു , "കലപ്പയില്‍ കൈ വച്ച ശേഷം പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കാതെ " മുന്‍പോട്ടു പോയിരുന്ന ഞാന്‍ ഒട്ടും പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാതെ ആണ് ആ നാടകങ്ങള്‍ അരങ്ങേറിയത്.
part 2 ഒരിക്കല്‍ രാവിലെ പള്ളിയില്‍ കുര്‍ബാനയ്ക്ക് വന്ന റോസിനെ വായില്‍ നോക്കി നിന്ന മുത്തോലിക്കാരന്‍ തോമസ്‌ എന്ന നമ്മുടെ സഹ വൈദീക വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥിയെ നല്ല ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെ ഉപദേശിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച എന്നെപ്പറ്റി നിങ്ങള്‍ കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ച കഥകള്‍ എന്തൊക്കെ ആയിരുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ കപ്യാര്‍ വര്‍ക്കിച്ചേട്ടന്റെ മകള്‍ റോസിനെ സെമിനാരിയുടെ പുറകിലുള്ള റബര്‍ തോട്ടത്തില്‍ വച്ചു പാക്രാണ്ടിച്ചെന്നു അല്ലെ?...........വേദ പഠനത്തിനു എത്തിയവര്‍ അതിനു മുന്‍പേ അഭ്യസിച്ചത്‌ തൊഴുത്തില്‍ കുത്തും , കുതികാല്‍ വെട്ടും!...........നമ്മുടെ ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ അപ്പസ്തോലനായ തോമ്മാ ശ്ലീഹായുടെ നാമധേയത്തില്‍ മാമ്മോദീസ മുങ്ങിയിട്ടുള്ള , ആ പേര് സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള , ഞാന്‍ അറിയുന്ന അമേരിക്കയിലെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ വിശ്വാസികളായ തോമസുമാര്‍ എല്ലാം ശുദ്ധ തെണ്ടികളും തന്ത ഇല്ലാ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നവരും ആകുന്നു. നാട്ടില്‍ വച്ചും അതല്ലേ സംഭവിച്ചത്. ഈ പാവം തോമ്മാ ശ്ലീഹ എന്ത് പിഴച്ചു?..... ആ പേര് കിട്ടിയവരില്‍ മുക്കാല്‍ പങ്കും പിഴകള്‍ ആണെന്നുളത് സത്യം!.....നിങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ പെട്ട ഒരു വൈദീക വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി ആയിരുന്ന എന്നോട് നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇത് ചെയ്തുവെങ്കില്‍ , വൈദീക പഠനം കഴിഞ്ഞു പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ നിങ്ങള്‍ ഈ സാമാന്യ ജനങ്ങളോട് എന്തൊക്കെ ചെയ്യുകില്ല എന്ന് ആരറിഞ്ഞു!...നിങ്ങള്‍ അന്ന് മിനഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ആ നുണ കഥയുടെ പരിണിത ഫലങ്ങള്‍ അനുഭവിച്ച ശുദ്ധാല്മാക്കള്‍ ആരെന്നറിയെണ്ടേ? പാവം റോസും ഈ ഞാനും!...കൊട്ടാരമിറ്റം ബസ്‌ സ്റ്റോപ്പില്‍ നിന്നിരുന്ന എന്നെ അവളുടെ അപ്പന്‍ കപ്യാര്‍ വര്‍ക്കിച്ചേട്ടനും അയാളുടെ അളിയന്മാരും കൂടി കൊല്ലാന്‍ ഓടിച്ചിട്ടു ഞാന്‍ വെള്ളാപ്പാട്ട് ഷാപ്പില്‍ ആണ് അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ചത്. തൊണ്ട വരണ്ട് മൃത പ്രായനായി അവിടെ കയറിച്ചെന്ന എനിക്ക് ഒരു ഗ്ലാസ് തെങ്ങിന്‍ കള്ള് നീട്ടി എന്റെ ദാഹം തീര്‍ത്ത്‌ തന്ന കുറ്റിമാക്കില്‍ കുഞ്ഞൌത എന്ന കേടിയെ ഇന്നും ഞാന്‍ ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നു. പാതിരാ കഴിഞ്ഞു ഞാന്‍ സെമിനാരിയുടെ പിന്‍വാതിലില്‍ മുട്ടിയപ്പോള്‍ എനിക്ക് വാതില്‍ തുറന്നു തന്നതും , അന്നെനിക്ക് മനസിലാകാതിരുന്ന ഒരു മഹദ് വചനം പറഞ്ഞു എന്നെ സമാശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചതും അങ്ങ് ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ. "man proposes , but god disposes " എന്ന് അന്ന് രാത്രി അങ്ങ് പറഞ്ഞ ആ ആശ്വാസ വാചകങ്ങളുടെ അര്‍ഥം മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു അമേരിക്കയില്‍ വരേണ്ടി വന്നു..... ഇത്രയും മഹാന്‍ ആയിരുന്ന അങ്ങേക്ക് അമേരിക്കയില്‍ വന്നപ്പോള്‍ എവിടെയാണ് പിഴച്ചത്?....ഇനി റോസിന് എന്ത് പറ്റി എന്നറിയേണ്ടേ ? പത്താം ക്ലാസില്‍ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന അവളുടെ പഠിത്തം അതോടെ നിര്‍ത്തി....പല കല്യാണ ആലോചനകളും വന്നെങ്കിലും ഒന്നും നടന്നില്ല ...പേര് ദോഷം കാരണം... സെമിനാരിയിലെ വൈദീക വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി റബര്‍ തോട്ടത്തില്‍ ഇട്ടു പാക്രാണ്ടിച്ചു പോലും! സത്യമായിട്ടും ആ മാലാഖയെ ഞാന്‍ അശുദ്ധ വിചാരത്തോടെ ഒന്ന് നോക്കിയിട്ട് പോലുമില്ല എന്ന് മാത്രമല്ല , ആ കൊച്ചിനോട് ഒരക്ഷരം ഒന്ന് ഉരിയാടാന്‍ എനിക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു അവസരം കിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ല..!.......അങ്ങിനെ അതീവ സുന്ദരി ആയിരുന്ന അവള്‍ ഒരു കെട്ടാ ചരക്ക് ആയി നിന്ന് പോയി അവസാനം 40 വയസ്സായപ്പോള്‍ 60 വയസ്സുള്ള ഒരു രണ്ടാം കെട്ടു കാരന്റെ ഭാര്യ ആകേണ്ട ഗതികേടില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേര്‍ന്നു. ഉറുമ്പ്‌ അരിച്ച്ചുപോയ സുന്ദരമായ ഒരു യൌവ്വനം!............. നമ്മള്‍ മനസിലാക്കേണ്ട ഒരു കാര്യം , കളിയായിട്ടു പോലും ഒരു പെണ്‍ കിടാവിനെ പറ്റിയും ഇല്ലാ വചനം പറയരുത്....അന്ന് രാത്രി സെമിനാരിയില്‍ നിന്നും എന്റെ സാധനങ്ങളും പെറുക്കി നടന്നു ഞാന്‍ ഏറ്റുമാനൂര് നിന്നും വടക്കേ ഇന്ത്യക്ക് കള്ള വണ്ടി കയറി...ഒരു വൈദികനായി കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ മുന്തിരിതോപ്പില്‍ വേല ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഇറങ്ങി തിരിച്ച ഞാന്‍ , കൊച്ചാപ്പി എന്ന ആര്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടാത്ത ഒരു തെണ്ടി ആയി ഇന്ന് അമേരിക്കയില്‍ സ്വന്തം ഭാര്യയുടെ ആട്ടും തുപ്പും ഏറ്റു ജീവച്ഛവമായി ജീവിക്കുന്നു.

ഒന്നോര്‍ത്താല്‍ വൈദീകനായി പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ അങ്ങും വൈദീകന്‍ ആകാന്‍ വിധിയില്ലാതെ പോയ ഞാനും തമ്മില്‍ എന്ത് വ്യത്യാസം?........ എനിക്ക് ശത്രുവായി എന്റെ ഭാര്യയും ഏതാനും ചില മലയാളികളും മാത്രം!....അങ്ങേയ്ക്കോ?....അമേരിക്കയിലെ ആകമാന സുറിയാനി കത്തോലിക്കരുടെ ശത്രുത ഈ ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലം കൊണ്ട് അങ്ങ് സമ്പാദിച്ചില്ലെ ?.....എന്തിനു വേണ്ടി? ......ആര്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി?..........ക്ലാവറിനു വേണ്ടിയോ?............അതോ ശീലക്കു വേണ്ടിയോ?...........ഈ ക്ലാവരും ശീലയും നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ എന്തെങ്കിലും പ്രയോജനം ചെയ്തോ?....അതോ ഇനി ചെയ്യുമോ?............ നമ്മള്‍ സെമിനാരിയില്‍ പഠിച്ചത് ക്രൂശിതനായ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കുരിശു മരണവും പീഠാ സഹനവും ഒക്കെ അല്ലെ?....പിന്നെ ഈ ക്ലാവര്‍ എവിടുന്നു കയറി വന്നു....വയലില്‍ പിതാവ് ഒരിക്കല്‍ പോലും ക്ലാവറിനെ പറ്റി പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ. ഓ!... മറന്നു... വയലില്‍ പിതാവോ, വികാരി ജനറാള്‍ ആയിരുന്ന വഞ്ചിപ്പുരക്കല്‍ അച്ചനോ കല്‍ ദായകന്മാര്‍ എന്ന കാട്ടു ജാതി ഗോത്ര വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ പിന്‍ഗാമികള്‍ അല്ലല്ലോ... അവരൊക്കെ തോമ്മാ ശ്ലീഹായുടെ പാരമ്പര്യത്തില്‍ പെടുന്ന സത്യ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള്‍ അല്ലെ?.....ചാച്ചന്റെയും അമ്മച്ചിയുടെയും പുന്നാര റോയി മോനും കല്‍ദായ കാട്ടു ജാതിയില്‍ പെട്ടതല്ലല്ലോ...പിന്നെ എപ്പോഴാണ് തെറ്റ് പറ്റി ഈ കാട്ടു ജാതി കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ പിടിയില്‍ അമര്‍ന്നത്?....റോയിക്കുട്ടാ . .. ഇനിയെങ്കിലും തെറ്റ് തിരുത്താന്‍ തയ്യാറാകണം....അഹങ്കാരം ദൈവം ഒരിക്കലും ക്ഷമിക്കുന്ന തെറ്റല്ല....ജനങ്ങളും!......... എല്ലാ നന്മകളും നേരുന്നു!.....

I challenge you to name the syro malabar bishops who agrees with your comments about St. Thomas cross, alter Vail and the prestigious traditions of our church....If you need not wish to be a part of these holy traditions and love it, you better join the latin church or even join the pentacostal churches...

The facts mentioned by one of the member about Arch Bishop Abraham Kattumana is very correct. I am basically from Thottakam near Vaikom in Kottayam District (Birth Place of Arch Bishop Kattumana)Now staying in Houston. When I was in kerala, Personally I have seen the abusing letter prepared by Some of the priests from Changanasserry Arch Diocese against Arch Bishop Abraham Kattumana. In their letter they mentioned Our Pope John Paul II as an agent of devil and his pontifical delegate to Syro Malabar Church, Mar Kattumana as "Kattukallan". When I saw this I really got shocked and feel pity on our Changanasserry Arch Diocese.
Remember Arch Bishop Abraham Kattumana was the first person from
Syro Malabar Community who joined the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome (1969 Batch) and entered the Diplomatic Service of the Vatican. He was a real asset for Syro Malabar community and his unexpected death in 1995 was a great loss for Syro Malabar Catholics residing all over the world.
So dear Bishops & Priests, We know "A to Z" things happened in Kerala Syro Malabar Community, especially in Changanasserry Arch Diocese.
We all are praying to god to forgive the People who are destroying Syro Malabar Roman Catholic community from inside.

Secondly I support your complaints that Mar Angadiath's methods were not correct. There should be complete transparency in the accounting processes..Also nothing can be imposed on anybody by mere compulsions. If he liked to place St. Thomas cross and alter Vail, he could have first made the people aware of the facts behind it, especially in a migrant's diocese like Chicago. Without this and by compulsions, nothing can be done. This was the failure of Mar Angadiath.
Finally about Mar Powathil. If you like it or not, At present, Mar Powathil is the most accepted syro malabar bishop within the church and outside. You cannot find a bishop from kerala, who was accepted by the Vatican, like they treated Mar Powathil. He was the most accepted syro malabar bishop for pope John Paul II. In Kerala, you cannot see another contemporary syro malabar bishop who worked for Ecumenism, Education, Youth movements and Protection of minority rights. If mar Powathil, was not here, the presence of catholic churches and institutions would have been in a different angle. So much could have been happened during the 5 year tenure of communist government..

Firstly, I didn't compare Latin church with Pentacostal churches. I just commented on your desire to devalue our prestigious traditions, which are "most precious and valuable" according to vatican. But you people thinks that it is a burden. From this, you can conclude, who is the one who devalues the pope.
I mean that if you don't like our traditions, you can join latin church. Otherways you can also join pentacostal churches where there will be no burden of any such traditions.
Secondly, I am not a 'Kaldaya terrorist' but one who loves our traditions and who is aware that these traditions cannot be imposed by mere compulsion. I am personaly against mar Angadiath's methods..
Thirdly, About mar Powathil's exclusion from MAjor Archbishop post. Every one knows that it was due to the internal politics among synod at that time. Mar powathil was strict on his stance that traditions should be valued, but a majority was against him and they wished to follow the latinised traditions. There was a tension of possible split in the church, only because of this that mar powathil was not made major archbishop. And now every one accepts that If mar powathil was made major archbishop, the history of syro malabar church would be a better one...
I agree.. Mar powethil is the only one showed back bone against the attack from Pinrai and other evil forces. Also he is the real warier to protect our Great tradition.

I am greatly disturbed by the fact according to one of the commentators above thinks that Powathil is to be appreciated for his wide appeal and acceptance. Reminds me of what Jesus says in Luke's Gospel (I think) "Woe to you when people say all kinds of good things about you. So did they about false prophets." At the same time, we also have to realize that when Jesus made his first sermon in the synagogue (Lk. ch. 4)the Jews were so mad at him that they drove him to the edge of the mountain cliff to throw him down. Because they hated truth. As long as Powathil is unwilling to accept the truth that Jesus states about the crucifix in Jn. 3:14, no matter how popular he may be, he is nothing but a false prophet. Anything based on a lie can never be the foundation for the church of Jesus Christ. Anyone who follows such lies will be like the one who builds his house on sand (Lk. 6). This applies to everyone including Bishop Powathil and all his misguided followers.

That is why we are considering This claver cross, Dirty red curtain etc are the part of "Powathil Heresy". This idiot misguided us a lot in the name of his fucking tradition. Now we the Syro Malabar catholics in kerala will not listen Powathil and his followers any more.

Its not good to elaborate on the bible quotations according to your views. The right for it is vested with the church.
What ever we do in our churches, we have a theological and traditional basis. As you think, mar powathil is not against the crucifix. You should know why we are insisted to place St thomas cross in our alter. Because, according to our faith, it is the resurrection which forms the cause for our faith, but not the crucification. If Jesus had didn't resurrect after his crucification, there would have no Christianity. So our faith is due to the resurrection of Jesus. The cross without the corpse represent the resurrection and so we place the decorated st. thomas cross, which also mean the heaven through cross...
In the new procedure for good friday, we use the crucifix, but not the st thomas cross or the statue of the corpse...So you should understand the situations and relevances.
Finally one historical note, There is no evidences which says that Jesus was crucified in a cross with the present shape. At that time 'T' shaped crosses were in use. So I humbly ask your comments about placing such a cross in alter..

One word of appreciation. In certain sections of the Syromalabar Websote I could also find many writing their views with their names, announcing who they are and what they are etc. That showed a great deal of civility on their part. But I am simply distressed by 99% of writers who hide themselves and throw stones. If they are not cowards, what else are they? I dont know what else to call them. Please correct me if I am wrong.
