Fr Antony is a good priest. Actually he is a great priest. I like him and I have great respect for him.
On a recent Sunday, Fr Antony was cursing the public as USUAL and he was bombarding the public with strong dialogues.
Why we do NOT have the money in Chicago? Fr Antony, I would like your attention back into 2004..
I really want to thank and congratulate the construction team under Fr Antony for the efforts they’ve put together to build a beautiful church. Indeed it’s beautiful. A promised 4.5 Million Church completed with a cost of 9.6 Million Dollars. Wow.. It’s better to be beautiful…
Father, with strong disappointments I am writing this. Father, it’s time to STOP your cursing at the altar. Father, It’s NOT the first time you are doing the curses. Father, you do the curses almost every Sunday. Father, if you have anger toward an individual you revert that anger to almost all the people in the church. FATHER PLEASE STOP THIS BAD BEHAVIOUR.
May be it’s you father and you are very much part of the whole blame of our current situation. You promised a 4.5 Million Church and we were witnessed to that. And in the end, you built us a church with an excess baggage of 5.5 Million Dollars on top of the promised 4.5 Million Dollars. Your so called supporters helped you built this “UnNcessary” luxuries. You bought the nearby properties for huge premium and they are irrecoverable money wastage and your foolishness caused a lots of money to the community.
We spend 9.6 Million Dollars on the Hellwood Church where Fr Antony promised to deliver the church with 4.5 Million. I WAS there in the meeting. Fr Antony, You were in FOOL’s paradise while spending all the money and you always claim that you have built the best architectural church in Chicago. I don’t want to go into church’s construction fiascos again. It’s another big story to write here and I cannot stop if I start writing all the blunders you did along with your monkey team.
A FLASHBACK.
Father Antony’s (Head of construction committee) Foolishness in Syro Malabar Chiacago.
1. Construction Committee wanted Granite in the church. Father, there is only 10% of the church is walkable and you needed granite ONLY in the place where people walk. Instead you and the construction fundas put granite everywhere. An unnecessary spending for 500K or more. Father – 1st mistake.
2. The office building upstairs – There was NO NEED of a second floor altogether. Not even 2% of the people get the benefit from these upstairs offices. I would say you’ve put another 2 Million for the second floor and it’s infrastructure. Why was these money spent unwisely? Father – 2nd mistake.
3. The Basement – A NO USE 16000 Sqft luxury. It must have coasted us another 1.75 Million dollars to have the current basement built. The 1.75 Million for “Making people socialize or selling “Bonda and Coffee”. We needed only the old church for socialization. But under your guidance we spent another 1.75 Million or more. Father – 3rd mistake.
4. The “Stained Glasses” – Please DO NOT EVER say stain glasses. The glasses in our church are plastered glasses over a picture. They ARE NOT stained glasses. If you want to see stained glasses, please go look at St Jude Church. Father – 4rth mistake.
5. You made us purchased land and houses near to the church saying you needed a place to stay. But you never did. You are still living in the old place. Another spending of 300K plus. Father – 5th mistake.
6. You wanted the Doms on the top of our church. Not one dome – There are three domes. I am sure many of our people don’t even know there are three domes because nobody can even see them. What an architectural beauty? People can’t even see it . Another lavish unnecessary spending of 600K may be for this custom round architecture. Father – 6th mistake.
With the above listed things itself, Father you’ve caused Syro Malabar a lot of money (Close to 5 Million) where you could have done a better job if you were brave enough to take your own decisions. Even then we do not have complaints.
Now.. Instead of cursing and threatening the public for not receiving money, perhaps follow the below suggestions and who knows, people will get jobs and they will start contributing more.
1. Pray for the people who have lost the jobs. Instead of the priests’ prayer that’s more appropriate and relevant.
2. Ask Bishop to sell his 2.2 Million house and buy a house for .5 Million. You can use that 1.7 Million for many other important things.
3. It coasted Syro Malabar Church 30K or more to install the round Sheela in our church. Remove the “Sheela” from our church and sell it for 25K.
4. Put the other money which you and other priests earn via blessing etc. According to your last speech you are allowed to get only $650 per month for your personal usage. It will be awesome if you can keep the extra income towards our church fund rather than cursing the public. Please be a model before you start cursing others. The same statement applicable to Fr Shasseri too. If you are from a well to do family, please take a minimum of 5K membership to a Max of 1 Million in our Syro Malabar church.

Mistake #7: Construction cummatte is hiding the accounts to this day. Why, because there is fraud involved.
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO OTHER CHARITABLE CATHOLIC CAUSE; PAYING TO THE CHICAGO SYRO MALABAR DIOCESE /CHURCH IS A WASTE. THE NEW TESTAMENT CONDEMNS ALL FORMS OF IDOLATRY PRACTICES AS AN ABOMINATION. WE SHOULD NOT DOWNGRADE TO A SATANIC WORSHIP.
It is now worth mentioning that I was a very strong supporter of the Syro Malabar church during the initial stage of the cathedral church blue prints and positively questioned the church authority about their blunders. However whoever questioned about anything during that time were sidelined by the Vicar and he blesses his biased agenda supporters alone and publically warned/mentioned that if you do not agree on this, you can get out. His stupid comments make no sense and were not at all a priestly response. Fr. Antony never listens to others and he thinks that he is always right; however history proved that he is wrong. A CHURCH PROJECTED FOR 4.5 MILLION ENDS UP IN 9.5 MILLION; COMPLETED UNDER A MINI SKIRT WITH BISHOPS PURPLE UNDERWAEAR WITHOUT ANY ORDER AND ATTIRE INSIDE. Fr. Antony could happily retire now. He is burden to our community because he knowingly betrayed the Syro Malabar community in Chicago.
The Bishop wants to show his might with the cost of the faithful and now lifted the creations above the creations. After forming the Chicago Syro Diocese he helped only to decline our faith and he is a shame to all Indian community in USA.

Our bishop is supporting an image that is unnecessary and meaningless, but the fact of the matter is that we have Scriptural evidence to support the Crucifix.
Therefore, by choosing to deny us the symbol of our faith, the bishop chooses to deny the word of God.
To this, I say to the bishop, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above” (Jn. 19:11).
If the bishop fights against the word of the very God that gave him his authority, so be it.
Let him bear that hypocrisy on his conscience. To those who choose to rally behind the symbol of the cross, we join you.
The symbol of our faith is the Crucifix, not the Mar Thoma Cross, and we gladly proclaim it as our Scripture commands instead of sheltering it behind a veil.

Put the money which you and other priests earn via blessing etc in to the church account, you are already getting paid by the congregation to run the church, so the tip or commission you get from all these events such as blessing, marriage, anniversaries etc etc into the church accounts..
It will be awesome if you can keep the extra income towards our church fund rather than cursing the public.

It’s time to realize the money is “HARD”. We all know how hard to live and make money in this country.
Day by day, things are getting difficult. People are loosing jobs. People are loosing ground with tragedies.
As a respectful Organization, why can’t you do something worthwhile?
Rather than wasting your spiritual talents in “Viri/Sheela and Claver Cross” it’s time to do something else for the society.
If you don’t divert your attention and do the “important things” our money will no more comes to church.
I rather spend and welcome my fellow readers to do the same.
Make the authority know that you are NOT willing to donate any money to Syro Church unless the directions are CLEAR.
Remember it’s not a sin as long as you have good intentions and you are being straight.
And please give a dead line to them expecting their kind attention. (May be cut down the dollars from 1000 to $400 and spend the remaining on poor).
Please donate the same amount what you are intent to spend on church to charity.

Open Letter to Bishop and Priests in Syro Malabar USA
There are severe blasting about this Syro Malabar Voice blog but with this article I challenge the Syro faith community that, as a reader and writer of this blog, I/we believe in one True God and that’s the prime reason we spent our quality and valuable time on writing this.
I am a true faithful and I am always scared to point out the things at the priest or Bishop even though they are right. Because, there is a 1% chance that I could be wrong. This is a case with several other people and my fellow syro pals.
It's the Priest and Bishop's responsibility to explain why the Sheela and Claver Cross are so important to us in all churches. Why we need to worship them? Why it need to be in the Alter and no other place? What are their explanations?
Part 2
In Chicago Fr Antony spent an enormous amount of time cursing people "NOT to donate to the 10 Million Church". Also Fr Sasseri writes pretty decent documents in every week bulletin. And I always wonder why can't he write an article on this claver cross? In Coppel, Fr Varghese do the similar tactics and in Garland Fr Jojy demo power points about the claver cross(BTW – He is a friend of mine) and in other places priests do the similar game.
Priests have the reason while doing this – It’s better to obey and follow the faith. That way we will be a community with a single stand. And the true obeying priests, faith is something Bishop House can determine. When is this “Faith Determination” originated from the Bishop House? A Bishop who is staying in a 2.2 Million House, who cannot make any important financial decisions and looses 900K on a “wrecked building on St Charles” . I agree our Bishop is a pious and religious person. I know him from when he was a priest. But lately I suspect his directions are not the “pious moves” and I humbly request the Syro Malabar priest hood to correct me and my readers here. It’s time our priests to come forward and say what do they believe in – Crucified Cross or Claver Cross? Nobody is going to hurt you doing so. Remember, Jesus did that 2000 years before and he got crucified. And Fr Sajy did a similar act in Coppel and he got sacked to India. And other priests do not open their voice, because… Are you too scared?
You may be write in every importance of the claver cross. But if it’s ONLY found in 600 years after Jesus death, it does not have the credibility to be in the altar. We are OK with crucified Jesus or Resurrected Jesus on the cross. But our Savior MUST be there on the cross.
And Bishop and our priests says Claver Cross is a symbol of Syro Malabar Faith. We have no denial on that part and we are willing to respect that part. Please create emblems on our church offices, letter pads, web sites and bulletin and other prominent locations. Why do you want to have the symbol of Syro Malabar faith in the alter where we wanted to see our Crucified Jesus Christ. The crucified Jesus is the symbol of love, the symbol of life, the symbol of sacrifice, the symbol of simplicity, the symbol of promise, the symbol of faith … It’s the symbol of imagination and it’s the symbol of everything and NOT JUST the SYRO MALABAR FAITH.

Let’s take a hypothetical scenario and interesting point.
Are we Catholics or Syro Malabar Catholics? What if tomorrow Mar Excellency Bishop Angadiath says, “We will stay as a different catholic community with autonomous belief in faith and we will NOT be reporting to Pope but we will follow all our catholic values.” As a catholic person, will you stay with Mar Bishop Angadiath and Mar Joseph Powethil in the same church? A serious question to be asked and answered within ours elf? May almightily God-this is something I am NOT looking to see as a remote possibility. But why is there so reluctance against crucified cross and lenient towards question raising claver cross? What motivates just the three diocese and NOT the other thirty dioceses in Kerala? Why can’t they make all the THIRTY other “Bishops in Kerala” to follow the same claver+viri faith before they try to impose the same faith into the “Entire Kerala community from different part of the Kerala Region” here in USA?
I know it’s NO Point in asking this question because there are elegant people in the same blog community raised this questions several times. To me, if this case and scenario occurs, I am out throwing my 25K donation to syro church construction and I will happily go to my nearby catholic church where my leader is Pope the true follower of Jesus.
And now I put the same question to my fellow readers.. What’s your take? Also I encourage you to openly ask your priest on their opinion on cross issue. Because… You are confused. Thouroughly confused with all these “mind blogging Voice” writings.

In Coppel, Fr Varghese do the similar tactics and finally in Garland, Fr Jojy demo power points about the claver cross(BTW – Fr Jojy is a friend of mine) and in other places priests do the similar game.
Priests have their own reason while doing this – It’s better to obey and follow the faith. That way we will be a community with a single stand. And for the true obeying priests, faith is something Bishop House can determine. When is this “Faith Determination” originated from the Bishop House? A Bishop who is staying in a 2.2 Million House, who cannot make any important financial decisions and looses 900K on a “wrecked building on St Charles”.. And I should believe my faith is determined by the same “Desperate House” . I agree our Bishop is a pious and religious person. I know him from when he was a priest. But lately I suspect his directions are not the “pious moves” and I humbly request the Syro Malabar priest hood to correct me and my readers here. It’s time our priests to come forward and say what do they believe in – Crucified Cross or Claver Cross? Nobody is going to hurt you doing so. Remember, Jesus did that 2000 years before and he got crucified. And Fr Sajy did a similar act in Coppel and he got sacked to India. And other priests do not open their voice, because… Are you too scared?
You may be write in every importance of the claver cross. But if it’s ONLY found in 600 years after Jesus death, it does not have the credibility to be in the altar. We are OK with crucified Jesus or Resurrected Jesus on the cross. But our Savior MUST be there on the cross.

And Bishop and our priests say Claver Cross is a symbol of Syro Malabar Faith. We have no denial on that part and we are willing to respect that part. Please create emblems in our church offices, letter pads, web sites and bulletin and other prominent locations. Why do you want to have the symbol of Syro Malabar faith in the alter where we wanted to see our Crucified Jesus Christ. The crucified Jesus is the symbol of love, the symbol of life, the symbol of sacrifice, the symbol of simplicity, the symbol of promise, the symbol of faith … It’s the symbol of imagination and it’s the symbol of everything and NOT JUST the SYRO MALABAR FAITH. And to me I would rather to be known as a Roman Catholic rather than the Mathoma Catholic.
Let’s take a hypothetical scenario and it’s an interesting point.
Are we Roman Catholics or Syro Malabar Catholics? What if, tomorrow Mar Excellency Bishop Angadiath says, “We will stay as a different catholic community with autonomous power and faith and we will NOT be reporting to Pope but we will follow all our catholic values.” As a catholic person, will you stay with Mar Bishop Angadiath and Mar Joseph Powethil in the same church? A serious question to be asked and answered within ourself? Almighty God, this is something I am NOT looking to see even as a remote possibility. But why is there so much reluctance against crucified cross and lenient towards disputable claver cross? What motivates just the three diocese and NOT the other thirty diocese in Kerala? Why can’t they make all the THIRTY other “Bishops in Kerala” to follow the same claver+viri faith before they try to impose the same faith into “Entire Kerala community from different part of the Kerala Region” here in USA?
I know there is NO Point in asking this question because there are elegant people in the same blog community raised this questions several times. To me, if this case and scenario occurs, I am out throwing my 25K donation to syro church construction and I will happily go to my nearby catholic church where my leader is Pope the true follower of Jesus.
And now I put the same question to my fellow readers.. What’s your take? Also I encourage you to openly ask your priest on their opinion on cross issue. Because… You are confused. Thoroughly confused with all these “mind blogging Voice” writings.

hey nooo man --- no one is forcing any one to become a priest, so if you choose to be priest behave like one.
First of all understand what is priesthood, Priest should be a living example of Jesus the savior, they should not be cursing people when parish members ask some questions or concerns.
If you think thaaamara cross will save you, think again you will get a place in hell for sure.
