അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയുടെ മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച് ബിഷപ്പായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട മാര്‍ ജോര്‍ജ് ആലഞ്ചേരിയുടെ സഭാ ഭരണം അത്ര സുഗമം അല്ലെന്നു സൂചനകള്‍ . ഇന്ന് അധികാരം എടുക്കുവാന്‍ ഇരിക്കവേ എറണാകുളം -അങ്കമാലി അതിര്രൂപതയിലെ വൈദീകരും കന്യാസ്ത്രീകളും ചേര്‍ന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു ഭീമ ഹര്‍ജി നല്‍കിയത് ശുഭാകരമായിരിക്കില്ല കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ കിടപ്പ് എന്ന സൂചനയാണ് നല്‍കുന്നത്. മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച്ച്ബിഷപ് തന്നെയായിരിക്കും ഈ രൂപതയുടെ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്തായും എന്നതാണ് കല്‍ദായ വിരുദ്ധ വാദികളെ പ്രകോപി[പ്പിച്ചത്.
വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി സീറോമലബാര്‍ സഭയില്‍ കല്‍ദായ വാദം ശക്തമാണ്. ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി രൂപതയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് ഈ വാദത്തെ തുണക്കുന്നവര്‍ രംഗത്തുള്ളത്. എറണാകുളം, തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ രൂപതകള്‍ കല്‍ദായവാദ വിരുദ്ധരാണ് എന്നാണു അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. . ഇതേ തുടര്‍ന്ന് രണ്ടിലും പെടാത്ത ലത്തീന്‍ വാദികളെ മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച് ബിഷപ്‌ ആക്കിയാണ് വത്തിക്കാന്‍ ഇതുവരെ സഭയില്‍ സമാധാനം കാത്തു സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ ഈ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ ഇത് അട്ടിമറിക്കപ്പെട്ടതോടെ സഭയെ കല്‍ദായവല്‍ക്കരിക്കുമോ എന്ന ശങ്കയില്‍ ആണ് കല്‍ദായ വിരുദ്ധര്‍.
ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി രൂപതാംഗമായ മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി സാമാധാനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന ആളാണെങ്കിലും കല്‍ദായവാദത്തിന്റെ നേതാവായ മാര്‍ പവ്വത്തിലിന്റെ അരുമ ശിഷ്യന്‍ കൂടി ആണ് എന്നതും കല്‍ദായ വിരുദ്ധരെ ആശങ്കയില്‍ ആക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലനമാണ് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം എറണാകുളം - അങ്കമാലി രൂപതയിലെ മുന്നൂറോളം വൈദീകര്‍ ഒപ്പിട്ടു സമര്‍പ്പിച്ച ഭീമ ഹര്‍ജി.
സഭാ administrator മാര്‍ ബോസ്കോ പുത്തൂര്‍, നിയുക്ത മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച് ബിഷപ്‌ മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി എന്നിവര്‍ക്കും മറ്റു 44 മെത്രാന്മാര്‍ക്കുമാണ് അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ നിവേദനം നല്‍കിയത്.
രണ്ടാം വത്തിക്കാന്‍ കൌണ്‍സിലിനു ശേഷം കര്‍ദിനാള്‍ പാറേക്കാട്ടില്‍ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയുടെ ആരാധന ക്രമം പുനരുധരിക്കുകയും നവീകരിക്കുകയും ഭാരതീയ സംസ്കാരത്തോടു അനുരൂപപ്പെടുകയും വേണമെന്ന ആശയം മുന്നോട്ടു വച്ചു. സഭയുടെയും എറണാകുളം - അങ്കമാലി അതിരൂപതയുടെയും ഭാവിയെ കരുതിയാണ് ഇത്തരമൊരു ദര്‍ശനം അദ്ദേഹം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. മാര്‍ പാറേക്കാട്ടിലിന്റെ അജപാലന സമീപനവും ആരാധനാ സമ്പ്രദായവും കണക്കിലെടുത്തുള്ള അനുഷ്ടാനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ആരാധനകള്‍ക്കും തടസം വരാത്ത വിധം തുടര്‍ന്ന് പോകാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കണം എന്നാണു വൈദീകര്‍ ഒപ്പിട്ട നിവേദനത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നത്.
സഭകള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ആശയപരമായ വൈവിധ്യവും കൊടുക്കല്‍ വാങ്ങലും എന്നും നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ എന്നൊക്കെ ഒരു ചിന്താഗതി മറ്റൊരു ചിന്താഗതിയെ തന്ദ്രപരമായി ഒതുക്കി മേധാവിത്വം നേടാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചുവോ അന്നൊക്കെ സഭയില്‍ ഭിന്നതയും എതിര്‍പ്പും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയില്‍ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ആശയങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അനുഷ്ടാന രീതികള്‍ക്കും പ്രകാശനം ലഭിക്കണം. തന്ത്ര പരമായ നീക്കങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഒരു ചിന്താഗതിയെ ഉത്മൂലനം ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഗുരുതരമായ പ്രത്യാഘാതം ഉണ്ടാക്കും. ആരാധനക്രമം, അജപാലന ആഭിമുഖ്യം എന്നിവയില്‍ എറണാകുളം അതിരൂപതക്ക് തനതായ പാരമ്പര്യമുണ്ട്. അത് ഉള്‍ക്കൊള്ളാനും ആദരിക്കാനും പുതിയ എറണാകുളം ആര്‍ച് ബിഷപ്പിന് കഴിയണമെന്നാണ് തങ്ങളുടെ ഏക മനസ്സോടെയുള്ള അഭിപ്രായമെന്നു നിവേദനത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
നഗരവല്കൃതമായ ഒരു രൂപതയാണ് എറണാകുളം. ആധുനിക ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ സങ്കീര്‍ണ്ണതകള്‍ ഇവിടത്തെ ദൈവജനം അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് കണക്കിലെടുത്തായിരുന്നു മാര്‍ പാറേക്കാട്ടിലിന്റെ അജപാലന സമീപനം. വിവിധ സാമൂഹിക സാംസ്കാരിക ധാരകളോട് ആഭിമുഖ്യം കാണിച്ചുള്ള ഭാരതീയ പൂജ അതിരൂപതയില്‍ തുടങ്ങിവച്ചത് അദ്ദേഹമാണ്. മാര്‍ പാറേക്കാട്ടിലിന്റെ ദര്‍ശനം തള്ളിക്കളയാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കില്ല. ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നിവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ പുതിയ തീരുമാനം വേണമെങ്കില്‍ സിനഡ് അതിനു തയ്യാറാകണമെന്നും നിവേദനത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
എറണാകുളം വികാരിയത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ മെത്രാന്‍ മാര്‍ ലൂയീസ് പഴേപറമ്പില്‍ സഭയുടെ നേതാവായിരുന്നു. 1923 ല്‍ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ ഹയരാര്‍ക്കി സ്ഥാപിതമായപ്പോള്‍ അതിരൂപതാധ്യക്ഷന്‍ മാര്‍ അഗസ്റ്റിന്‍ കണ്ടത്തില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു സഭയുടെ തലവനും. എന്നാല്‍ 1969 ല്‍ സഭയ്ക്ക് ആദ്യമായി ഒരു കര്‍ദിനാള്‍ നെ നല്‍കിയപ്പോള്‍ മാര്‍ പാറേക്കാട്ടിലിനെയാണ് അതിനായി മാര്‍പ്പാപ്പ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്.
1992 ല്‍ മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ക്കി എപ്പിസ്ക്കൊപ്പല്‍ സഭയായി ഉയര്‍ത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ എറണാകുളം ആസ്ഥാനമാക്കി രണ്ടാം വത്തിക്കാന്‍ കൌണ്‍സില്‍ തീരുമാനത്തില്‍ ആരാധന ക്രമം സംബന്ധിച്ച് മൂന്നു കാര്യങ്ങളാണ് പറയുന്നത്: പഴയ ഉറവിടത്തിലേക്ക് പോവുക, നവീകരിക്കുക, പുതിയവ കൂട്ടി ചേര്‍ക്കുക എന്നിവ. ഇതില്‍ ആദ്യത്തേത് മാത്രമാണ് ചെങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി വിഭാഗം നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കുന്ന കല്‍ദായ ക്രമത്തെ അനുകൂലിക്കുന്നവരുടെ വാദമെന്നു കല്‍ദായ വിരുദ്ധരായ എറണാകുളം അതിരൂപതയിലെ വൈദീകര്‍ പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഈ മൂന്നു സമീപനങ്ങളെയും അനുരൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് മാര്‍പാറേക്കാട്ടില്‍ തന്റെ ദര്‍ശനം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നത്.
എറണാകുളം അതിരൂപതയില്‍ മറ്റൊരു രീതി കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം അതിനെ ശക്തമായി എതിര്‍ക്കാനാണ് വൈദീകരുടെ നീക്കം. ഈയാഴ്ച നിയുക്ത മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച് ബിഷപ്പിനെ ഒമ്പതംഗ Steering കമ്മിറ്റി കാണുന്നുണ്ട്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് എല്ലാ വൈദീകരെയും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തി യോഗം ചേര്‍ന്ന് ഭാവി പരിപാടികള്‍ ആലോചിക്കും.
440 ഓളം വൈദീകരാന് എറണാകുളം അതിരൂപതയില്‍ ഉള്ളത്. നിയ്ക്ത മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച് ബിഷപ്‌ മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി അതിരൂപതക്കാരനാണ്.

The title of the article itself is wrong. The article confirms that it is the anti chaldaic lobby that is getting active, not the chaldaic lobby. I think the aim of the author is hate propaganda and division.
The memmorandum by the priests of Ernaculum itself is utter disobedience.The Holy synod of the church has made a dicision how to celebrate Holy Qurbana. The Chaldaic lobby wanted the Qurbana celebrated ad orientum- facing the altar while the anti chaldaic lobby- the latinisation lobby- wanted ad populum- facing the people. As a compromise, the synod decided 50 : 50 formula.
These Ernaculum Priests have not obeyed this decision for the last few years.I think they need to learn to obey first and then preach. They are trying to dictate the church and the synod If these people cannot obey the church synod, how can they be called Priests ?
About Parekkattil's vision- famous Roman Catholic author and Priest, Rev William Macomber has written in 1970s itself that the aim of the Syro malabar hierarchy is to reform in the name of indianisation and to ultimately merge with the latin church of India, once it is also sufficiently latinised. Even though the movement of Indianisation started in latin rite,they abandoned it and Parekkattil promoted it. So, in a nutshell, it was a programme of termination of syro Malabar Church and to merge with latin church.

Why this claver cross is called St. Thomas Cross?
Why don't you people do some research into this KURISU issue,rather than just following your bishop Powethil.
This so called Mar thoma Kurisu was brought over by the early syrian migrants into Kerala.
History tells us that they are today's Jacobites.
This cross has nothing to do with Saint Thomas himself.
You owe the whole SMC community an explanation about the significance of this cross,which,even the Syromalabar authorities has not figured out.
Have an open and intelligent opinion of your own,rather than following your beloved bishop Powethil.
I know you people are better than that.Times have changed,even though we all want to agree with and follow our bishops and authorities,you should not be blindly following your bishop,especially,when the outcome of the bishop's decision is getting rid of JESUS CHRIST FROM OUR SYRO MALABAR CATHOLIC CHURCH ALTARS.
Keep in mind bishops are not perfect like SON OF GOD is. You should not be idolozing the bishop.

Our identity is that we belong to our certain family and parents,our identity is that we belong to the Syromalabar Rite,our identity is that we are roman Catholics,our identity is that we believe in JESUS CHRIST and are followers of him.
These are all plenty good reasons for our identity.Therefore it is OK to disagree with bishop Pwethil on this issue.
JESUS CHRIST will forgive you for not agreeing with your bishop.I am sure bishop Powethil's intend was not to be devisive BUT THAT IS THE ULTIMATE OUTCOME OF THIS SO CALLED IDENTITY CREATING PROCESS.
You guys cannot just ignore these facts.Being on his favor side,it is your duty to convince Bishop Angadiath to reverse his decision which would cause the division and destruction of our faith and our church.

ഈ പറയുന്ന അച്ഛന്മാര് തമ്മില്‍ 'അയ്ക്കം' ഉണ്ടോ?
ഈ പറയുന്ന അച്ഛന്‍മാരും ദൈവമായ യേശുവും തമ്മില്‍ 'അയ്ക്കം' ഉണ്ടോ?
ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍, ദൈവത്തിന്‍റെ നല്ല ദിവസമായ പെസഹവൃയാഴ്ച്ച ഫാ.സജിയേ, അങ്ങാടിയത്ത് പിതാവ് ഫയര്‍ ചെയുമായിരുന്നോ?
ഇതാണോ ദൈവമായ യേശുവിന്‍റെ ദാസന്‍മാര്‍ എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്ന 'അയ്ക്കം' ഇല്ലാത്ത അച്ചന്‍മാര്‍ അഥവാ വൈദികര്?

Congratulations and kudos to Major Archbishop Alanchery for exhibiting prudence in wearing the Y kappa without claver on his first day on the job. In keeping with the spirit of 2 Cor. 8:21, he has displayed the right attitude towards his flocks in general by respecting the feelings of not only the flocks within the Ernakulam and Trichur Dioceses, but also of the vast majority of the Syro-Malabar members everywhere. St. Paul says in 2 Cor. 8:21: "We are taking pains to do what is right not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men." It is commonplace knowledge that the vast majority of the Syro-Malabar Catholics vote for the Crucifix in their churches and other places of worship. Certainly therefore this is the right thing to do not only in the eyes of God, but also in the eyes of men also. The Crucifix has been the hallmark of the Catholic Church for more than a 1000 years and therefore it should be adhered to at all cost. Recently the peace in our Syro-Malabar Church has been deplorably interrupted by the clamor of the Kaldayan Cross mongers. It is high time that peace and order be restored within the Syro-Malabar Church once again. And I am sure the action of Major Archbishop Alanchery will go a long way in achieving it. We praise God and our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us Major Archbishop Alanchery as the leader of our Syro-Malabar Church. We also pray that he will continue to exercise theological prudence in staying within the spirit of 2 Cor. 8:21 since it is the right thing to do as it is pleasing to God and the vast majority of the Syro-Malabar Catholics world-wide. Your excellency, we cordially welcome you and your administrative style. May God strengthen you to stay on the right path you have set your foot on by not bowing to the pressures from the Kaldayan faction. Praise be to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for answering our prayer by giving us a leader who is sensitive to doing the right thing for the good of His Church as a whole without pandering to the desire of just a small minority. It is truly encouraging to see the light at the end of the tunnel -- we see the possibility that Major Archbishop Alenchery will do everything in his reach to implement the guidelines of the many recent Synodical decisions to refrain from imposing the Mar Thoma Cross "covertly or overtly" against the majority will of the parishioners everywhere including Garland, Texas, USA. We humbly ask His Excellency to ensure that justice is done to the parishioners in Garland who have clearly told the Pastor Fr. Sebastian Kaniampadickal that they do not want any drawing of the Mar Thoma Cross within the sanctuary of their church which idea was forced upon them against their expressed will and desire by the pastor. If this is carried out, it will certainly amount to imposing the Mar Thoma Cross "overtly" on these parishioners which should not be allowed to happen.

കാട്ടു നീതിയുടെ വക്തവന്നു ഈ ജനതയെ അറിയികുക. അച്ഛന്റെ വീതം കിട്ടിയെങ്കില്‍ സൂഷിക്കുക. കൂടുതല്‍ വഷലാക്കിയാല്‍ നിയമപരമായി നേരിടാന്‍ തയാറാണ്. അച്ഛനോടുള്ള ബഹുമാനം അല്പമെങ്കിലും ഈ സമൂഹത്തിനു ഭാക്കി നില്‍ക്കുന്നുടെങ്കില്‍ തങ്കലെപോലുല്ലവ്ര്‍ അതും കളഞ്ഞു കുളിക്കും. സത്യിം മറക്കാന്‍ ശ്രേമിചോളൂ പക്ഷെ അടിച്ചമര്‍ത്താന്‍ നോക്കരുത് . പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കും
