ഞങ്ങള്‍ പുരോഹിതരെ അതിര് വിട്ടു വിമര്‍ശിക്കുന്നു എന്നാണു ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ അവരുടെ ആരോപണം. ചില പുരോഹിതരും കൂടി ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ട അധോലോക സംഘമാണ് ഈ ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പിന്നില്‍ എന്നുള്ളത് സ്വാഭാവികം മാത്രം. ഞങ്ങള്‍ പുരോഹിതരെ വിമര്‍ശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ പൌരോഹിത്യത്തെ വിമര്‍ശിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. പുരോഹിതര്‍, അവര്‍ ദുര്‍ഭരണവും അഴിമതിയും കാണിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവരെ വിമര്‍ശിക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ല എന്ന് ഒരു പ്രമാണത്തിലും എഴുതി വച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതായി ഞങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. തോന്ന്യാസം ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഒരു ലൈസന്‍സായി ഞങ്ങള്‍ പൌരോഹിത്യത്തെ കണക്കാക്കുന്നില്ല. പുരോഹിതര്‍ക്ക് നിരക്കാത്ത പ്രവര്‍ത്തികള്‍ നമ്മുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരില്‍ നിന്നും ഉണ്ടായാല്‍ നിശിതമായി അവയെ വിമര്‍ശിക്കുക തന്നെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യും.
ഫാ ശാശ്ശേരി BMW ഓടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് നടക്കുന്നതില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പരാതിയൊന്നുമില്ല. അസൂയയുമില്ല. പക്ഷെ ഒരു വൈദികന്‍ എന്ന നിലയില്‍ അത് ഔചിത്യ പരമാണോ എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സംശയമുണ്ട്‌. പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഒരു യുവ വൈദീകന്‍ എന്ന നിലക്ക്. പ്രസ്തുത കാര്‍ ഒരു ബന്ധു സമ്മാനമായി കൊടുത്തതാണെങ്കില്‍ തന്നെ. സ്വയം സവാരി ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഒരു കഴുതയെ മാത്രം ആശ്രയിച്ച യേശുവിന്റെ പ്രതിപുരുഷന്‍ ഒരു ആഡംബര കാര്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് അല്മായരാല്‍ വിമര്‍ശിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതില്‍ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടാനില്ല.
എന്നാല്‍ ഫാ ശാശേരിയുടെ ഈയടുത്ത കാലത്തെ ഒന്ന് രണ്ടു പ്രവര്‍ത്തികളെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ശക്തമായ ഭാഷയില്‍ വിമര്‍ശിക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല, അപലപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഒന്ന്, മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരിയുമായുള്ള രൂപതാ വൈദീകരുടെ യോഗത്തില്‍ തന്റെ ചില സഹോദര പുരോഹിതന്മാര്‍ക്കെതിരെ അടിസ്ഥാന രഹിതമായ ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ ഉന്നയിച്ചത്. വോയ്സ് എന്ന ഈ ബ്ലോഗുമായി ഒത്തുകൂടി ചില വൈദികര്‍ രൂപതാ നേതൃത്ത്വത്തെ വിമര്‍ശിക്കുന്നു എന്ന ഗൌരവതരമായ ആരോപണമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം അവിടെ വച്ച് നടത്തിയത്. ഫാ ശാശേരിയെപ്പോലെ പുരോഗമന വാദി എന്ന് നടിച്ചു നടക്കുന്ന ഒരു യുവവൈദികന് പരദൂഷണം കുലത്തൊഴിലായി കൊണ്ട് നടക്കുന്ന ഒരു കൂത്തച്ചിയുടെ ലെവലിലേക്ക് എങ്ങനെ താഴാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഒരു പുരോഹിതന് പോയിട്ട് ഒരു ക്രിസ്ത്യാനിക്ക് പോലും കൊള്ളാത്ത പോക്കിരിത്തരമാണ് ഫാ ശാശ്ശേരി കാട്ടിയത് എന്ന് ഉറപ്പിച്ചു പറയുന്നു.
വളരെ കൌശലത്തോടെ അദ്ദേഹം പൊതുജനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ഒളിച്ചു വച്ചിരുന്ന കല്‍ദായ പ്രേമം മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരിയുമായി നടന്ന യോഗത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം പുറത്തു പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. മാര്‍ തോമാ കുരിശിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തില്‍ ഉറച്ചു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്ക് അത് പുറത്തു കാണിക്കാന്‍ എന്തിനു മടി കാണിക്കണം? എന്തിനീ പൊയ്മുഖം? മാര്‍ത്തോമാ കുരിശു എന്ന് ഇവര്‍ വിളിക്കുന്ന പേര്‍ഷ്യന്‍ കുരിശിന്റെ അര്‍ത്ഥമില്ലായ്മയെപ്പറ്റി പൂര്‍ണ്ണ ബോധ്യവാന്മാരായ ഫാ ശാശേരിയെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവര്‍ അത് പുറത്തു കാണിക്കുവാന്‍ മടിക്കുന്നതില്‍ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടാന്‍ എന്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

We all are human beings. So does a priest. All human beings are sinners. So does a priest. When we do sin, we need to ask for pardon both from God and the fellow man. A priest also is supposed to do that.
Two categories of people, who very rarely apologize for their own faults, are Priests (this is a class name for all those who lead religious life) and Prayer group members (this does not include the minority who are really practice the words of God).
According to them, I think, whatever they think, speak and do are from and for God. So they seldom can realize that they are mistaken.
The public have more examples of P&P (priest and prayer group members) going wrong than saying a word of apology. If any of the readers have any example of P&P apologizing, please write it for the sake of the common good of the church. Please be advised that never mention the name and place of P&P.
When Pope John Paul apologized for the sins of Church, no diocese, no Bishop nor any P&P followed that example (if I am correct), for they never do anything wrong.
Most of the problems of our church could be solved by a five letter word "SORRY". Who has to say sorry? Those who do wrong, whether that is P&P or faithful, need to say it.
But sorry is always one way, from the public only. That is why we wouldn't have any more saints in our church after Servant of God Kunjachan.
True Christian spirit is to ask for forgiveness and give forgiveness. Nobody including myself do that. It is easy to say sorry for the wrongs of others. P&P always do that, but not for their own. But one must say Sorry for the wrong doings of oneself. There is no point in saying sorry for the sins of others, unless and until we say sorry for our wrong doings.
P&P always say that all Media are giving false propaganda against Christians, especially against Catholic Church and priests. But this is partially true and cannot be generalized to cover up the faults of P&P. In most incidents, P&P are culpable. That is why our church loses her moral courage and strength to guide the flock and she is ridiculed and disregarded by others.
So what should we do? Let us obey the word of God. In Ezekiel God says, “Come on let’s reconcile” Let us reconcile with God the Father. And let us reconcile with our church leaders and faithful. If each vicar start saying sorry for their faults, the parishes are going to be blessed ones. Like vise if the faithful say sorry to their priest and Bishop, the parish and diocese would be flourishing both spiritually and materially. The only question that remains is “Are we ready for that”? One day wood complained, “How many crosses were made out of me and why there isn’t any Christ there?
More than one is the problem!!!!
Inter marriages to other denominations is hurting true Catholic faith and people are compromising their true beliefs to satisfy their partner from other denominations of Christianity over the Crucifix's significance in Catholic church.

They say both Crucifix and Claver are OK to them, can't blame them as their partners definitely have a say in what these husbands do anyways.
If you have more than one of anything (like if you have 2 appans )you can have more than one cross to worship.
But remember if you are a true Catholic, you can have only Crucifix in the altar.
True Catholics faith only recognizes the Crucifix worthy to be in the altar at all times, this is the law of Pope not Powethil's.
Symbol cross should have a place in the church (on any table top, on vest of any priest or their undergarments etc), but certainly not in the altar to worship.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ഞായറാഴ്ച കുര്‍ബാന കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ള ശവപ്പെട്ടി ജോജിയുടെ അനൌന്‍സ്മെന്‍റ് കേട്ടപ്പോള്‍ ഞെട്ടിപ്പോയി. പ്രായവും പക്വതയുമില്ലാത്ത ആള്‍ക്കാരെ പെട്ടെന്ന് ഒരു വികാരിയാക്കിയാല്‍ എങ്ങിനെയിരിക്കുമെന്നുള്ളതിനു ഏറ്റവും നല്ല ഉദാഹരണമാണ് ശവപ്പെട്ടി ജോജി.അദ്ദേഹം പറയുകയാണ്‌ അമേരിക്കയിലെ കല്‍ദായസഭയിലെ മുഴുവന്‍ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ക്കും കാരണം അല്‍മായരല്ല ജോജിയുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള അച്ചന്മാര്‍ തന്നെയാണ് പോലും.പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് ജോജി ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചത് കൊപ്പലിലെയും ഗാര്‍ലണ്ടിലെയും അല്‍മായ പ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങളെയാണ്.ഈ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കുവാന്‍ പൂള് വച്ചുകൊടുത്തത് അച്ഛന്മാരാണ് പോലും.സജിയച്ചനെയും ആന്‍റ്റണിയച്ചനെയും ജോണച്ചനെയും ഒക്കെയാണ് ശവപ്പെട്ടി കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള അച്ഛന്മാരെക്കൊണ്ട് ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചതെന്നു പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടവര്‍ക്കു മനസ്സിലായി.ഇത്രയും കാലം തൊഴുത്തില്‍ക്കുത്ത് പുറത്തു പറയാറില്ലായിരുന്നു.എന്നാല്‍ ആലന്‍ചെരിയുമായിട്ടുള്ള മീറ്റിങ്ങിനു ശേഷം അത് പുറത്തു ചാടാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ശവപ്പെട്ടി ജോജി വിചാരിക്കുന്നത് ജനങ്ങളൊക്കെ ക്ലാവരുകാരെപ്പോലെ പൊട്ടന്മാരാനെന്നാണ്.ഇവന്‍റെ അപ്പനെക്കഴിഞ്ഞും ഇവന്‍ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന പൌവത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ഒരു ക്ലാവര് കുരിശാണ് എല്ലാ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ക്കും കാരണമെന്ന് ഇവിടുത്തെ കൊച്ചു കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് വരെ അറിയാം. എന്നിട്ടാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ മറ്റുള്ള അച്ചന്മാരെ പഴിചാരി ഇവനൊക്കെ വിടുവാ അടിക്കുന്നത്.ശവപ്പെട്ടി ജോജിയെക്കഴിഞ്ഞും എത്രയോ ഭേദമായിരുന്നു സക്കറിയാ എന്നാണു ഇപ്പോള്‍ സാധാരണക്കാര്‍ പറയുന്നത്.അത് ശരിയാണ് താനും.ഇവനൊക്കെ കുരിശില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെ കാണുമ്പോള്‍ അലര്‍ജിയാണ്.എന്നാല്‍ പണത്തിനു വേണ്ടി പിന്നെയും പിന്നെയും അവര്‍ക്ക് കത്തുകള്‍ അയക്കാന്‍ യാതൊരു നാണവുമില്ല താനും.പെങ്ങളുടെ പൈസ ബിഷപ്പിന്‍റെ പോക്കറ്റിലിട്ടു കൊടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം ഇങ്ങോട്ട് കേട്ടിയെഴുന്നള്ളിയതെന്നു ഓര്‍ത്താല്‍ നല്ലത്.എന്നിട്ട് ഇവിടെ വന്നു ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയ്ക്കും അച്ചന്മാരുടെ ഇടയ്ക്കും തോഴുത്തിള്‍ക്കുത്തൊണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ നടക്കുന്നു.ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിനു നീരാടാന്‍ കുളവും വേണം താനും.ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഗാര്‍ലണ്ടില്‍ എല്ലാവരെയും ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കാനാണ് ഇയാള്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്.ജനങ്ങളെ നോക്കുകുത്തിയാക്കി പണിയിച്ച ഒരു കല്‍ദായ അമ്പലത്തിന്‍റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനത്തിന് ആളെക്കൂട്ടാനാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഇയാളുടെയും ക്ലാവരുകാരുടെയും ശ്രമം.കരിങ്കൊടി കാണിച്ച ആദ്യത്തെ പള്ളിയുത്ഘാടനമായിരിക്കും ഇതെന്നും ശവപ്പെട്ടി ജോജിയാണ് അതിനു കാരണമെന്നും ലോകം അറിയാന്‍ പോകുന്നതെയുള്ളു. ധൈര്യമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ നേരിട്ട് വീടുകളില്‍ കയറിച്ചെന്നു പൈസ ചോദിക്ക്.അതിനുള്ള തന്റെടമുണ്ടോ ജോജിക്ക്.കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചു വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി എത്രയോ പേര്‍ ഗാര്‍ലണ്ട് പള്ളി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പോയി?ആ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയെങ്കിലും തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവരാന്‍ ശവപ്പെട്ടി ജോജി നോക്കിയോ?ഇല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇയാള്‍ക്കിവിടെ എന്താണ് പണി?പാരവയ്പ്പും തീറ്റയും ഉറക്കവും!!!അതിനു ജനങ്ങള്‍ പണം വാരിക്കോരി കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണം.അതിനു വേണ്ടി എന്ത് പോക്രിത്തരവും ജോജി ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യും. ജനങ്ങള്‍ ഇതൊക്കെ കാണുകയും അറിയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് അറിയുക.

I've been doing a some research on archaeology and some recent digs. Then I came across an article which stated in part:
The unreliability of carbon 14 date testing is a great concern to honest archaeologists. They get very concerned when C14 testing shows obviously inaccurate results & they are left in uncertainty about the reliability of the dates that they have previously never questioned.
Examples of abnormal C14 results include testing of recently harvested, live mollusc shells from the Hawaiian coast that showed that they had died 2000 years ago and snail shells just killed in Nevada, USA, dated in at 27,000 years old. A freshly killed seal at McMurdo Sound, Antarctica, yielded a death age of 1300 years ago.
A petrified miner’s hat & wooden fence posts were unearthed from an abandoned 19th century gold hunter’s town in Australia's outback. Results from radiocarbon dating said that they were 6000 years old.

What prompted me to write this article is a recent CD that has surfaced in You Tube. This CD is on an Italian Catholic priest belonging to the Franciscan Order visiting Amma Amritanandamayi Devi in Kerala and stating what he thinks of her. Of course she has become an overnight sensation among her devotees for whom she has risen to the height of nothing short of a deity. But who would have thought that her list of devotees would include a Catholic priest who has declared that in his opinion she is the Gateway to Heaven”. For those who don’t believe me, you can check out the video: “Gateway to Heaven – according to Fr. Antonio” on Youtube.com. After I saw this video I have been petrified about the prospects of the Syro-Malabar Church also falling into a similar trap. The claver cross addicts would one of these days declare to us that Bishop Powathil is in fact the Gateway to Heaven. The thought has driven me hysterical because I truly believe the danger is real for the following reasons.
Before I do this I like to clarify one thing which was erroneously reported about me in this blog – something to the effect that I was a Pentecostal for a while and then I came back. This is totally erroneous. I was born a Catholic and have always been a Catholic to this day. Having said that let me go on with my four reasons why I believe there is a real danger of the claver addicts declaring and teaching us that Bishop Powathil and even Bishop Angadiath are the Gateways to Heaven.
Reason #1: As I said in an earlier article, the Holy Eucharist has been given to us as food for us as we see in Jn. 6:55-57. Here Jesus tells us: “My flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.” Without any further explanation, I am sure it is very clear here that the Holy Eucharist is the food and drink that Jesus has given to us to grown in Him. And never is the food that one eats more important than the one who eats it. If you are not convinced let me give you one more reason why Holy Eucharist has been given to us as food and drink. It is not God Himself as some mistakenly argue and believe. In Jn.13:26-27 we read: “Jesus answered, ‘It is one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.’ Then dipping the piece of bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon. As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.” If Holy Eucharist was God, how would Satan enter into Judas when he received the Holy Eucharist? Now in spite of the Holy Eucharist being the flesh and blood of Jesus given to as food and drink, the wrong teachings within the Church have convinced us that the Holy Eucharist is God Himself! I challenge anyone to show me a verse in the whole Bible that supports this. It is given to us only as a food and drink as we read in Jn. 6:55-57 and it is referred to ONLY as ‘a piece of bread’ in Jn. 13:26-27.
Reason #2: In Num. 21:8-9 we see how Moses raised the bronze serpent: “The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live. So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.” When Jesus asks us to raise the Son of Man “just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert”, it is understood that we should also use the figurative image of the Son of Man on the Crucifix in the same way the Israelites used the figure of the serpent. They used it to avoid the consequences of being bitten by the snake which was death. Thus it is obvious here that we should use the Crucifix as an instrument for avoiding the eternal consequences of sin which is spiritual death.

Today certain members of the Syro-Malabar hierarchy including Bishop Powathil, Bishop Angadiath and recently the Major Archbishop Alencherry also are not only teaching that there is no difference between their idolatrous Mar Thoma Cross and the Crucifix but they are trying to replace the Crucifix with their man-made idol whenever and wherever they can. This is so wrong because Mar Thoma Cross has no Biblical basis at all whereas placing the Crucifix in our places of worship is a command and a means to receive forgiveness of our sins just as the Israelites used the bronze serpent’s image to escape from death by looking at the image of the serpent.
Reason #3: According to the video, the Italian priest belonging to the Franciscan order had only visited Amma Amritanandamayi Devi only three times before he declared that Amma is the “Gate to Heaven”. From what we hear, there was nothing that points to a deep relationship or for that matter any relationship at all other than these three short visits with Amma. According to the Bible, the only way to heaven is Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). Therefore according to the Bible, Fr. Antonio’s statement is so blasphemous. Here I do recognize the fact that there may be many who give ‘deity status’ to Amma and I am not putting down their faith. I am only looking at the whole thing objectively based on the Bible just as I have been seeing the ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ through the Biblical lens. After watching this video, if you are like me, I am sure you will be greatly concerned too for the following reasons.
I am sure you agree with me that we Syro-Malabar Catholics are weak in our Bible knowledge. This is a serious problem. As a result, as we saw above, we have been trained to believe that the Holy Eucharist is God Himself which could not be further from truth. I would challenge anyone in the Bible to show me a single verse which states that the Holy Eucharist is God as some of my readers wrote back in response after reading my article on “What is More Important than the Eucharist?”. I don’t want to hear that I am ignorant, Pentecostal (which I am not), etc. I simply want you to show me a verse in the Bible that describes the Holy Eucharist as God or anything other than food and drink for the Christian. Of course I DO believe that it is the real body and blood of Jesus according to the Bible and the presence of Jesus is there in the Eucharist. But it is not God for the reasons I described in Reason #1 above.

Now let me ask you: If we have been brainwashed to believe that the Holy Eucharist is God even though the Bible does not support it in any way, if the Crucifix which has been given to us by Jesus Himself as a means of being freed from the consequences of sin just as the serpent’s figurative image erected on a pole was given to the Israelites by God to escape from death when they were bitten by the serpent, and if that Crucifix has been replaced by the idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ by Bishop Powathil and his cohorts, and if Jesus Christ, the only Gateway to Heaven (Acts 4:12) has been replaced by Fr. Antonio according to the above video with Amma Amritanandamayi, is it too much to think that one of these days our claver maniacs will start teaching us that Bishop Powathil is the Gateway to Heaven? After all Fr. Antonio declared that Amma is the ‘Gateway to Heaven’ after visiting her merely three times in his life. If that is the case, it is not illogical to think that Bishop Powathil who not only presented the ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ to the SMC but also has lavished many high positions for the past several years on whoever promoted his idolatrous ‘cross’ will definitely be raised to the status of a ‘god’ just as Amma Amritanandamayi has been raised to the status of the ‘Gateway to Heaven’ by Fr. Antonio. Think about it. Friends of the Crucifix, we must eliminate this ‘extremely poisonous cobra’ before its venomous fangs sprout out. We must stop the ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ idol before it destroys our faith and sends our eternal souls into hell.

This is in response to my brother John Chacko’s comments. First of all I do understand your zeal for the Holy Eucharist and I compliment you for it which is the right thing to do. But you do not want to approach the Holy Eucharist with the ignorance that Judas Iscariot had when he received it from Jesus Himself as we read in Jn. 13:26-27 and let Satan enter you as he did into Judas. Zeal is a good thing but it should not be based on falsehood as the zeal of the Jews is. About their zeal Paul writes in Rom. 10:3-4: “Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.” So I want you to receive the Holy Eucharist fully knowledgeable about it. I want not only you but everyone out there in the Syro-Malabar Church to receive the Holy Eucharist to grow in Christ which is what Christ wants from us. So let me make a few points clear.
First of all, your reaction is not at all surprising to me because I predicted it in my above article when I said: “I don’t want to hear that I am ignorant, Pentecostal (which I am not), etc. I simply want you to show me a verse in the Bible that describes the Holy Eucharist as God or anything other than food and drink for the Christian. In your comment above you have not shown me a single verse from the Bible that supports your view even though I have quoted many to support mine. I couldn’t care less whether I win my argument or not. But I care an extremely lot about you knowing the truth and go to heaven or not. So let me go on. Note that I have stated that “I DO believe that it is the real body and blood of Jesus according to the Bible and the presence of Jesus is there in the Eucharist”. I am simply saying based on Biblical truth that the Holy Eucharist is not God and should make a distinction between God and the Eucharist.
Having said that let me ask you one thing. You have quoted from the Catechism (I believe) your arguments for disputing my position. Are you willing to listen to what the first Pope, Peter the Apostle said in Acts 5:29: “We must obey God rather than men”. When the Bible calls the Holy Eucharist only the food and drink of a Christian and the Catechism says something to the contrary, what would you believe? If you are like me, obeying our first Pope, we should believe what the Bible says. Shouldn’t we? So here Peter the first Pope also tells us to believe what the Bible says. Thus either way whether we want to go with what the first Pope says or with what the Bible says, we should call the Eucharist our bread and drink and never say it is God even though we do recognize the presence of Jesus in it. If we are not willing to do this Gal. 1:9 becomes applicable to us: “… If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned.” This is what I told Pippiladan also the other day.

In Jn. 4:23-24 Jesus said: “True worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and His worshipers MUST worship in Spirit and in truth.” My advice to anyone who does not believe in the Biblical truth and thus does not want to worship in truth is that you are not true worshipers. Tom Varkey is not the one saying it; it is Jesus Himself who says this in Jn. 4:23-24. Jesus says here that God the Father is seeking this kind of worshipers. In order to become and remain as true worshipers, we MUST worship in truth. And whether you are going by what the Bible says or by what the first Pope says, we must believe in truth when we worship. Then only we become true worshipers. Otherwise we become idol worshipers. This is the reason why I vehemently oppose the idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ which is against what the Bible says in Jn. 3:14.
My purpose in writing these truths which are totally in alignment with Biblical truth is that whoever reads my articles must be true worshipers and not idol worshipers. So I am repeating again my challenge to John Chacko and anyone else out there who reads this blog to quote me a single verse that states that Holy Eucharist is God. We can find that it is a Christian’s bread and drink, it is a mystery, etc. But you will not find a single verse that states that it is God. By this I am in no way saying that the Holy Eucharist is unimportant and merely a piece of bread or some wine in a chalice. When it is consecrated by the priest, it becomes the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ and we should treat it as Jesus Christ Himself. In Jn. 6:56 Jesus said: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in Him.” In Jn. 6:53 again Jesus said: “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.” So, to have spiritual life and to grow steadily in our spiritual life, the Holy Eucharist is absolutely necessary. Now why do I say it is not the same as God? My only answer and explanation is that the Bible does not support it. And Bible does not give explanation to every question we have although for 100% of our questions, Bible is the answer.
I hope that helps my friend John Chacko and everybody else who may be mad at me for writing the truth rooted in the Word of God which we call the Bible. As I have often said and again repeat – my purpose is not to win a debate in the blog or anywhere else; but everyone who is willing to obey Jesus Christ to find out what the truth is and thus to become true worshipers whom “God the Father is seeking”. I do not want anyone to be misled by what the claver addicts who state that there is no difference between what Jesus says in Jn. 3:14 regarding the Crucifix and what Bishop Powathil or Angadiath say about the ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ which is against the Word of God. If we worship against the Word of God, we are not true worshipers but idol worshipers which is the reason why I oppose the Mar Thoma Cross.
Jn.13:26-27 we read: “Jesus answered, ‘It is one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.’ Then dipping the piece of bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon. As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.” If Holy Eucharist was God, how would Satan enter into Judas when he received the Holy Eucharist?
