K .V . തോമസ്‌. അദ്ദേഹം എന്റെ സ്ഥാനാരോഹണ ചടങ്ങുകളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും പോപ്പും പുതിയ കര്‍ദിനാള്‍ മാരും കൂടി അര്‍പ്പിച്ച സമൂഹബലിയില്‍ പങ്കു കൊള്ളുകയും കൂടി ചെയ്ത വ്യക്തിയാണ്. വളരെ ജനസമ്മതനും, കേന്ത്ര-സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരുകളില്‍ വളരെ സ്വാധീനവും ഉള്ള ഒരു വ്യക്തിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. തന്നാല്‍ കഴിയുന്നത്‌ എല്ലാം ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം എനിക്ക് വാക്ക് തന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. വരും നാളുകളിലും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ അധികാരികളുമായി ഞാന്‍ ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും എന്ന് ഉറപ്പു തരുന്നു."

Agenzia Fides എന്ന അതിവിശ്വസ്തമായ ഒരു വാര്‍ത്താ കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ വന്ന ഈ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്‌ വെറും കള്ളക്കഥയാണെന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല. നിഷ്പക്ഷമതികളായ ആരും അത് വിശ്വസിക്കുമെന്നും ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തോന്നുന്നില്ല. മത മേലധ്യക്ഷന്മാര്‍ രാഷ്ട്രീയ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും, പലപ്പോഴും കുറ്റവാളികളെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനുപോലും തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വാധീനം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് കേരളത്തില്‍ കേട്ട് കേള്‍വിയില്ലാത്ത കാര്യം ഒന്നുമല്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി കേരളത്തിലെ മന്ത്രിമാരുമായി ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു എങ്കില്‍ അതില്‍ അസ്വാഭാവികമായി ഒന്നും ഞങ്ങള്‍ കാണുന്നില്ല.
ഞങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി മേല്‍പ്പറഞ്ഞ പ്രസ്താവനകള്‍ നടത്തിയോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്നുള്ളതല്ല പ്രധാന വിഷയം. അദ്ദേഹവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രതിനിധികളും ജനങ്ങളോട് കള്ളം പറഞ്ഞോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്നതാണ്. വിശ്വസനീയമായ ഒരു വിശദീകരണവുമായി അധികാരികള്‍ മുമ്പോട്ട്‌ വരാത്തിടത്തോളം കാലം മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി സ്വന്തം കാലിലേക്ക് തന്നെ വെടിവച്ചിട്ടു ജനങ്ങളോട് കള്ളം പറയുന്നു എന്ന് തന്നെ വേണം വിശ്വസിക്കുവാന്‍.

അറിവില്ലാത്ത പിപ്പിലാഥന്‍ വീണ്ടും എഴുതട്ടെ . ഇറ്റലിയും വത്തിക്കാനും രണ്ടു രാജ്യങ്ങാലാണ് . ( ഇറ്റലിക്കുള്ളിലെ റോമിനുളളില്‍ ) വെറും 110 ഏക്കര്‍ മാത്രം വിസ്തീര്‍ണമുള്ള, 800 മാത്രം വരുന്ന ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള , ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റം കൊച്ചു രാജ്യം . സ്വന്തമായി പാസ്പോര്‍ട്ടും ,വിസയും, ദേശിയഗാനവും , കൊച്ചാര്‍മിയും ( SWISS ARMY), വിദേശ സ്ഥാനപതികളും , മിക്ക രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും എംബസികളും , ദേശിയപാതാകയുമുള്ള ഒരു സ്വതന്ത്ര രാഷ്ട്രം . അതും ഇറ്റ ലിയും ഒന്നാണെന്ന് പറയുന്നവരോട് തോറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു.യൂറോപ്പില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഇതിലെന്തെങ്കിലും അഭിപ്രായവ്യത്യാസമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ പറയുക, പഠിക്കാമല്ലോ ഈര്‍ഷ്യ ഒന്നും തോന്നില്ല എന്ന് ഉറപ്പു തരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇറ്റലി 80 ശതമാനത്തിലതികം വരുന്ന (നാമമാത്ര) കത്തോലിക്ക രാജ്യമാണെന്ന കാര്യം മറക്കുന്നില്ല. മരിച്ചതും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനി , കൊന്നതും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനി , ഇറ്റലിയുടെ പക്ഷം ചേര്‍ന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കര്‍ദിനാലിനു എന്തുകിട്ടാന്‍? അതും കത്തോലിക്ക പള്ളിക്ക് കരം ചുമത്താന്‍ തുനിയുന്ന ഇറ്റലിയുടെ പക്ഷം പറഞ്ഞിട്ട്.

കാള പെറ്റു എന്ന് കേട്ടതേ കയറെടുത്ത സഹോദരന്മാരോട് സഹതാപം തോന്നുന്നു. കര്‍ദ്ദിനാള്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി പിതാവിനെയെന്നല്ല ആരെയും കിട്ടുന്ന അവസരം മുതലെടുത്ത്‌ അവഹേളിക്കുന്ന രിതി ശരിയല്ല. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു ഇറ്റലിയെ ന്യായികരിച്ചിട്ടു ഒന്നും കിട്ടാനില്ല. വത്തിക്കാന് ഒരു സ്വതന്ത്ര രാഷ്ട്രം ആണ്. നീതി നടത്തുകയും അത് ഒരു രാജ്യാന്തര പ്രശ്നമായി വളരാതെ നോക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണമെന്ന നല്ല കാര്യങ്ങളാവാം അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞത്. ഇത്തരം കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒരു തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ മുതലെടുക്കാന്‍ ആരെയും അനുവദിക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ലെന്ന് അദേഹം പറഞ്ഞതും നല്ല അര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ നമുക്ക് എടുക്കാവുന്നതെയുള്ള്. ഇതൊക്കെ പത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് എങ്ങിനെ വേണമെങ്കിലും വളക്കാം. അതായിരിക്കാം സംഭവിച്ചതും.

ഇത്തരം കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒരു തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ മുതലെടുക്കാന്‍ ആരെയും അനുവദിക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ലെന്ന് അദേഹം പറഞ്ഞതും നല്ല അര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ നമുക്ക് എടുക്കാവുന്നതെയുള്ള്. ഇതൊക്കെ പത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് എങ്ങിനെ വേണമെങ്കിലും വളക്കാം. അതായിരിക്കാം സംഭവിച്ചതും.

Mallus WE the Mallus
The plane in which two mallus were traveling crashed over an ocean.
Once in the water other passengers swam for floats to keep themselves afloat-------
but the Mallus swam towards the cargo portion collecting lemons to make lemon juice.
What can be done to put a Mallu to dilemma ?
Offer him fish curry and kaLLu (toddy) and ask him to choose only one of them.
Why did the mallu go to Vatican? To listen ‘Pop’ music.

Imagine God having a newspaper that has a classified column. Imagine also that this Help Wanted Ad appears in the classified column one Sunday morning: “Help Wanted (By God): All Caldayan Syro- Malabar bishops and priests ineligible and therefore need not apply”. How realistic is that? Believe it or not, the way the Syro-Malabar Church is functioning today, I would emphatically say that this is entirely realistic. You will totally agree with me when you hear my theological reasoning below as to why I say this is realistic.
In 2 Tim. 2:20-21 the Word of God says: “In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” Comparing its members to articles of differing values in a house, in the Caldayan Syro-Malabar Church today there are some articles of gold and silver. These are the bishops and priests. Then there are other articles of clay and wood like you and me -- ordinary lay people. Since the bishops are made of gold, they are called “His Excellency”, “His Beatitude”, etc. The priests may be treated as made of silver as they are called VG’s, procurators, monsignors, “achans”, etc, titles that are less glamorous than “His Excellency”, etc. We lay people are simply called by our names as we are made of wood and clay, nothing fancy and nothing glamorous. If we write in the blog, we may even be called “shudra jeevikal” or even worse depending on how upset our church authorities get when we speak the truth.
Ironically as far as God is concerned, He couldn’t care less whether we are made of gold or silver or wood or clay as we read above in v. 21 of 2 Tim. 2. God says that when anyone cleanses himself from filthiness, he becomes useful to the Master (God) and he is eligible to do any good work for Him. If we look around, this is what is happening in the Syro-Malabar Church today. Most of the lay people are willing to obey the Word of God by embracing the Crucifix which is a vital theology in our faith as we read in 1 Cor. 1:18. Here we read: “the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” Therefore we the lay people strongly hold on to the Crucifix no matter how hard our bishops and priests oppose it.
Our Caldayan bishops and priests have either not realized or long forgotten that God cannot use us if we do not cleanse ourselves from sins by surrendering ourselves to obey the Word of God. In 1 Pet. 1:22 we read: “Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.” If we stubbornly reject the Crucifix and thereby “the message of the cross”, then we cannot be purified because obeying the truth is a pre-condition to our purification from our sins. To God it does not matter whether we are made of gold or silver or of clay or wood. He only looks to see if we are willing to obey the Word of God.

Unfortunately, one of the terrible consequences of not being willing to obey the truth is that such a person cannot love his brothers and sisters “deeply from the heart” as we read in 1 Pet. 1:22. Thus in the Syro-Malabar Church today, we see our Caldayan hierarchy often times loving the flocks just for their money. Their theology may be light years away from truth and based on human traditions and genealogies as in the case of their imposing the idolatrous Mar Thoma Cross in Garland and Chicago. They will use any type of unscrupulous methods like installing the Mar Thoma Cross in the middle of the night as the Bishop did in Chicago. They may use the cameras as Fr. Jojy did in Garland and Fr. Sasserry seems to be trying to do in Coppell. All these are evidences that these ‘shepherds of the flock’ have no sincere love for their flocks but they only see them as objects of exploitation and a means to achieving their own selfish ends. Jesus spoke so accurately about our Caldayan Syro-Malabar hierarchy when He said in Jn. 10:1: “I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs by some other way, is a thief and a robber.” Jesus Himself prophesied that those who act in sneaky ways like installing the idolatrous cross in the cover of the night are thieves and robbers.
In light of the above goings-on in the Syro-Malabar Church, what are we the lay persons to do to alleviate the situation that currently exists? Our work is cut out for us. Jude admonishes us to contend for our faith as we read in Jude 3. In Jude 4 he warns us that “they are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.” Even though Paul tells us in Gal. 6:14 that the Cross of Jesus Christ which is the Crucifix is the only object of boasting in our places of worship, our Syro-Malabar Church hierarchy is trying to get rid of the Crucifix as fast as they can.
Our Church authorities are only interested in exploiting and fleecing their flocks instead of spiritually enriching them and bringing them closer to their main Shepherd who is Jesus Christ. Reason is that they do not possess any deep love for their flocks as they have not been purified of their sins by accepting the truth. So what we see in the Syro-Malabar Church today is nothing but ‘Lollipop Christianity’. It is the fulfillment of what Paul prophesied in 2 Tim. 4:3: “The time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” We see so many myths being floated in defense of the idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ to remove the Crucifix from our churches even though the Word of God strongly speaks in support of the Crucifix in Jn. 3:14, 1 Cor. 1:18 and Gal. 6:14. Dear friends of the Crucifix, hold on to your seats. We have to defend our faith and defend WE WILL. God is looking not for articles of gold and silver who are called His Excellencies and Beatitudes, etc. but ordinary believers like you and me who are willing to obey His Gospel. By obeying the Word of God, we have been purified of our sins and thus we can be useful for God’s work as we saw above in 2 Tim. 2:21.

We may not be called His Excellency, His Beatitude, VG’s, Procurator etc. in the Syro-Malabar Church. In fact we may even be called “Shudra Jeevikal” or worse by those who cannot tolerate our standing up for the truth and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Cross. Because to them the message of the cross is foolishness as they are perishing. But we are being saved by “the message of the cross” by holding on to the Crucifix. Even though we may not get any respect here, one day we will reign with Jesus Christ in His kingdom for all eternity as kings just as Jesus has promised us in Rev. 2:26-27.
He talk and preach against Christ and his cross so its quite normal he get trouble now and then until he turn back to Christ.
