ഇന്നലെ ഞായറാഴ്ച. സ്ഥലത്തെ ഒരു മലയാളീ സംഘടനയുടെ ഒരു സജീവ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്‍ , റോയ്. വികാരി യച്ചനുമായി അദ്ദേഹം എന്തോ കാര്യം ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു. അടുത്ത നിമിഷം അച്ഛന്‍ കലികൊണ്ട്‌ വെളിച്ചപ്പാടിനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളിക്കൊണ്ട്‌ മുറിയില്‍ നിന്നും ഇറങ്ങി ഓടുന്നു. റോയ് പിന്നാലെ പിടിക്കുന്നു.
അന്വേഷിച്ചപ്പോളാണ് സംഗതി പിടി കിട്ടുന്നത്. പാരിഷ് കൌണ്‍സിലില്‍ ഈയിടെ ഒരു രഹസ്യ തീരുമാനമുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടാത്രേ. അതായത് ഇനി മുതല്‍ പള്ളിവക ഹാളുകള്‍ വാരാന്ത്യങ്ങളില്‍ കാലത്ത് 10 മുതല്‍ വൈകുന്നേരം 4 വരെ മലയാളീ സംഘടനകള്‍ക്ക് വാടകയ്ക്ക് കൊടുക്കില്ലത്രേ. കാരണം? കള്‍ചറല്‍ അക്കാദമി യുടെ സുഗമമായ നടത്തിപ്പിന് അത് തടസ്സമാകുമാത്രേ! ഇക്കാര്യത്തെപ്പറ്റി ആരായാന്‍ ചെന്ന പാവം റോയിയെ തന്റെ സ്ഥിരം സ്റ്റൈലില്‍ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന സീന്‍ ആണ് മേല്‍ വിവരിച്ചത്.
റോയ് വളരെ സൌമ്യമായും മാന്യമായുമാണ് അച്ഛനോട് സംസാരിച്ചത്‌ എന്നാണു ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞത്. അദ്ദേഹം അച്ഛന്റെ വലിയൊരു സപ്പോര്‍ട്ടറും കൂടിയാണ്. എന്നിട്ടും അത്യധികം അപലപനീയമായ രീതിയിലാണ് അച്ഛന്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ചത്. നമ്മുടെ വികാരിയുടെ അസഹിഷ്ണുതയുടെയും അഹംഭാവത്തിന്റെയും മറ്റൊരു ഉദാഹരണമായേ ഈ സംഭവത്തെ വീക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റൂ.
അഞ്ചെട്ടു കൊല്ലം അമേരിക്കയില്‍ ജീവിച്ചിട്ടും രാമപുരം ചന്തയിലെ സംസ്കാരം അച്ഛന്‍ ഇനിയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

Let us talk about something more interesting, a bit more entertaining. Does anyone know the whereabouts of our mega sponsor? Where is he hiding these days? I heard a bunch of (greedy) people lost a bunch of money by joining one of his tele-tel scams. Can anybody shed some light on this? The idea is to prevent more people falling prey to these scams.

The mega sponsor is building a bridge from New York to Cochin. He is going to charge toll and make money. Anybody want to invest will get 50% interest.
He is also digging for gold in Central america. He is also planning to install an elevator to moon.
So if anybody want to invest now is the time. remember 50%. More if you insist.
