അമേരിക്കയില്‍ അരങ്ങേറിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കുരിശ് വിവാദത്തെപ്പറ്റി സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സിനടിനെ അവബോധരാക്കുവാന്‍ കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് പോയിരുന്ന സഭാ സ്നേഹി. ടോം വര്‍ക്കിക്ക് ഇന്നലെ DFW എയര്‍ പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ ഉജ്ജ്വല സ്വീകരണം നല്‍കി . ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി പത്തരയോടെ എയര്‍ പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ എത്തിയ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കുടുംബാങ്ങങ്ങളും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും അഭ്യുതയകാക്ഷികളും ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ട ഒരു വന്‍സംഘമാണ് പൂച്ചെണ്ടുകള്‍ അര്‍പ്പിച്ചും ഹാരാര്‍പ്പണം നടത്തിയും സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.
കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടാഴ്ചകളായി വളരെ ശ്രമകരമായ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളാണ് മി. ടോം വര്‍ക്കിയും സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും കേരളത്തില്‍ നടത്തിയത്. അമേരിക്കയിലെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ വിശ്വാസികളുടെ ആത്മീയ പീഡനങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി കേരളത്തിലെ വൈദീകര്‍ക്കും വൈദീക മേലധ്യക്ഷന്മാര്‍ക്കും ശരിക്കും മനസ്സിലാകത്തക്കവിധമുള്ള പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളാണ് അവര്‍ നടത്തിയത്. പല പത്ര സമ്മേളനങ്ങളും അവര്‍ നടത്തി., അമേരിക്കയിലെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ വിശ്വാസികള്‍ അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന അരിഷ്ടതകള്‍ നിസ്സാരമായി തള്ളിക്കളയാവുന്നതല്ലെന്നു അവര്‍ സിനടിനെ ബോധ്യപ്പിടുത്തി. മി. ടോം വര്‍ക്കിയുടെ കമാണ്ടിലുള്ള ജീസസ് ആര്‍മി സെന്റ്‌ തോമസ്‌ മൌന്റില്‍ നടത്തിയ പ്രതിഷേധ പ്രകടനം ഉജ്ജ്വല വിജയമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ വിമര്‍ശകര്‍ പോലും സമ്മതിക്കുന്ന സത്യമാണ്. ഈവക സമ്മര്‍ദ്ദങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ടു തന്നെയാണ് ബിഷപ്പുമാര്‍ സിനഡില്‍ ബിഷപ്‌ അങ്ങാടിയത്തിനെതിരെ ശക്തിയായ പരാമര്‍ശങ്ങള്‍ നടത്താന്‍ നിര്‍ബന്ധിതരായത്. . മാര്‍ തോമ കുരിശിനെപ്പറ്റി സിനടിന്റെ നിലപാട് വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും അവര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. അതായത്, യാതൊരു കാരണവശാലും നമ്മുടെ ദേവാലയങ്ങളില്‍ മാര്‍ത്തോമ കുരിശ് നേര്‍ വഴിക്കോ വളഞ്ഞ വഴിക്കോ അടിച്ചേല്‍പ്പിക്കുവാന്‍ അധികാരികള്‍ ശ്രമിക്കരുതെന്ന് വീണ്ടും അവര്‍ ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
മി. ടോം വര്‍ക്കിയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും അമേരിക്കന്‍ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭക്ക് തങ്ങളുടെ ഈ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ വഴി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന സേവനം ഏറ്റവും ശ്ലാഘനീയമാണ്. ബിഷപ്പു അങ്ങാടിയത്തിന്റെ കല്ടായവല്‍ക്കരണ പാതയില്‍ ഈ മഹത് വ്യക്തികള്‍ യുക്തി പൂര്‍വ്വം വച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഊടുകള്‍ മറികടക്കാന്‍ ബിഷപ്പിന്‍റെ കല്‍ദായ ചക്കട വണ്ടിക്ക് കഴിയു മെന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല.

When Tom Varkey dies, he shoud be buried inside our sanctuary under the crucifix. We owe him a lot.

Good points made by anonymous about marthoma cross.This cross is note came to SMC just recently. This cross is part of our faith, roots and tradition.
Even if crucifix is our center of faith, as a SMC we want give respect to our tradition and root. Please don't say bad about marthoma cross. SMC is not latin eventhough we got some influence from latin missionaries.
It is a shame for Tom Varkey and his group went to India and protest in the street like cheap political party!!.

Rev. Angadiath is not doing God’s important works. He travels & walks around & through the flocks of sheeps (God’s children) “searching which ones are ready to milk”. If he does God’s work, he should follow JESUS AND JESUS’ FIRST POPE, ST. PETER, obeying all commandments & teachings of JESUS as JESUS’ FIRST POPE, ST. PETER did.

According to the above verses (Word of God) did Rev. Angadiath & other church leaders who are the so-called followers of JESUS & JESUS’ FIRST POPE, ST. PETER teach the CHRISTIANS TO OBEY ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER JESUS HAS COMMANDED THEM????????????????????????????. According to the above Word of God, the Christians at the time of Jesus’ disciples, under THE COMMAND OF JESUS’ FIRST POPE, ST. PETER used to break bread daily in their homes. HOW COME REV. BISHOP ANGADIATH & OTHER CHURCH LEADERS KEEP BANNING & KEEP PREVENTING THE BREAKING OF BREAD IN THE CHRISTIANS’ HOMES AGAIN AS EXPLAINED IN ACTS 2:46 BY THE EARLY CHRISTIANS UNDER THE COMMAND OF THE FIRST POPE, ST. PETER.??????????????? When the above responsible people start obeying Jesus’ those above explained 2 commandments, as JESUS’ FIRST POPE ST. PETER and the then Christians under JESUS’ FIRST POPE ST. Tom Varkey Responds to the Reception at DFW Airport
I have been so overwhelmed by the support that I have been getting from so many of you in my ongoing Battle for the Crucifix. You have fought with me standing shoulder to shoulder and sharing my pain and tribulations that come with it as in the case of any battle. The awesome reception you gave me has been nothing short of spectacular and truly a humbling experience and I have been highly honored by it. However, I have to tell you that the way I see it, standing up and fighting for the Crucifix which alone is the true cross of Jesus Christ is more than enough reward in itself. Additionally, each of you who have stood with me in this Battle for the Crucifix is my joy and reward much in the same way as Paul puts it in 1 Ths. 2:19-20: “… What is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when He comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory and joy.”
As I say it, my greatest regret is that those who stand for the Mar Thoma Cross will be missing out totally on this reward which Jesus will hand out when He appears, to those who pride themselves in His Crucifix as we ought to according to Paul. Paul tells us in Gal. 6:14: “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Mind you, this is not the Mar Thoma Cross which has no value and is nothing because it has no Jesus on it -- just as the donkey on which Jesus was riding became nothing but an ordinary ass the moment Jesus got down from its back after His triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
I do not deserve the kind of welcome that you all gave me at the DFW Airport upon my return from St. Thomas Mount. The entire credit and glory belongs to Him who hung on the Cross for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind including those of the advocates of the Mar Thoma Cross also. This is true whether they admit it or not by accepting the Crucifix in our places of worship or opting to replace it with the abominable idol which the Mar Thoma Cross is. I do not mean to sound ungrateful to you for the spectacular reception you all gave me. However, I have to state here though that what motivates me for standing up for the Crucifix is the following perspective: As we read in Lk. 12:37 if we are faithful in serving the Lord and fighting for His Crucifix for His glory, one day we will have the awesome privilege of reclining at the Lord’s banquet table where He Himself will wait on us and serve us the most delicious meal for all eternity. Thank you all for the wonderful and dedicated support you are giving me in bringing honor to Our Lord Jesus Christ by fighting for the Crucifix. Let us also pray in a special way for Rev. Fr. Sajy whose tremendous sacrifice will never be forgotten. May God bless all of you and in all your endeavors.
