ചോദ്യം ചോദിച്ച ആളെ മനസ്സിലായില്ല. ചോദ്യം എന്തായിരുന്നെന്നും വ്യക്തമായി കേള്‍ക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ വികാരിയച്ചന്റെ മറുപടിയില്‍ നിന്നും ചോദ്യം സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റത്തെയും പള്ളിയില്‍ ആരെങ്കിലും വാ തുറക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന എക്കോയെയും പറ്റിയായിരുന്നെന്ന് മനസ്സിലായി.
നമ്മുടെ പുതിയ ദേവാലയം ഇരുപത്തൊന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഒരു നവീന ബാബേല്‍ ഗോപുരമാണെന്ന് പറയാം. അത് സമ്മദിക്കാത്ത ഏക വ്യക്തികള്‍ വികാരിയച്ചനും പുതിയ സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റം സ്ഥാപിക്കുവാന്‍ നേതൃത്വം കൊടുത്തവരും മാത്രം. പൊതുയോഗത്തില്‍ ചോദ്യമുന്നയിച്ച വ്യക്തിക്ക് അച്ഛന്‍ കൊടുത്ത ഉത്തരം അത്യന്തം വിചിത്രമായിരുന്നു. എന്തൊക്കെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്തോ! "സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റത്തിന് ഒരു പ്രോബ്ലവുമില്ല. എന്തൊക്കെയായാലും പള്ളിയില്‍ ആരും ഇല്ലാത്തപ്പോള്‍ എക്കോ ഉണ്ടാകും. (പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും സൌണ്ട് ഉച്ചത്തില്‍ വച്ചാല്‍.) പക്ഷെ പള്ളി ഫുള്‍ ആണെങ്കില്‍ എക്കോ ഉണ്ടാകില്ല. (സൌണ്ട് പതുക്കെ വച്ചാല്‍!) എക്കോ മാറ്റാനുള്ള പണിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ ബട്ജെറ്റിന്റെ കുറവുകൊണ്ട്‌ തല്‍ക്കാലം ഒന്നും ചെയ്തില്ല." അച്ഛന്റെ ഈ ഉത്തരം കേട്ടപ്പോള്‍ മേസണറി അവാര്‍ഡ് പോലെ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റത്തിനുള്ള അവാര്‍ഡും നമുക്കു കിട്ടിപ്പോയോ എന്ന് സംശയിച്ചു പോയി.
അച്ഛന്‍ വീണ്ടും വാചകക്കസര്‍ത്തു കാട്ടി ഈ ഇടവകക്കാരെ വിഡ്ഢികളാക്കുവാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണ്. പള്ളി പണിയുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഒട്ടു മിക്ക സംഗതികളിലും സംഭവിച്ച പോലെ ഇക്കാര്യത്തിലും പാളിച്ച അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ കളിപ്പ് പറ്റി എന്നതാണ് സത്യം. അതിന് അച്ഛന്‍ എത്രമാത്രം ഉരുണ്ടു കളിച്ചാലും മാറ്റമുണ്ടാകില്ല. "ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മനോഹരമായ പള്ളിയാണ് നമ്മുടേത്. മിഡ് വെസ്റ്റിലെ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല മേസണറിക്കുള്ളഅവാര്‍ഡ് കിട്ടി നമുക്ക്. സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റം സൂപര്‍ ആണ്. പാര്‍ക്കിന്ഗ് പ്രശ്നം എന്നൊന്നില്ല." ഇങ്ങനെയൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു അച്ചന് ആശ്വാസം കൊള്ളാം. പക്ഷെ സത്യം എന്താണെന്ന് അച്ഛനറിയാം. ഇടവകാംഗങ്ങളുടെ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ഡോളര്‍ വൃഥാ പാഴാക്കിയ ശേഷമാണ് അച്ഛനും കൂട്ടരും ഇങ്ങനെ കണ്ണടച്ചിരുട്ടാക്കുവാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്.
പൊതുയോഗത്തില്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയ പോലെ 50,000 ഡോളറാണ് സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റത്തിന് ആദ്യം വകയിരുത്തുകയും കൊണ്ട്രാക്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തത്. പിന്നീടത്‌ 124,000 ഡോളറായി ഉയര്‍ന്നു. പണി തീര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍ മൊത്തം കൊടുത്തത് 126,027 ഡോളര്‍. സിസ്റ്റം ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ചെയ്തത് ബര്‍ റിഡ്ജിലുള്ള പ്രൊ കോം എന്ന കമ്പനി.

ഞങ്ങളുടെ അറിവ് ഇതാണെന്നിരിക്കെ ആരുടെ ശിപാര്‍ശയിലാണ് പ്രസ്തുത കമ്പനിക്ക് നമ്മുടെ സൌണ്ടിന്റെ ജോലി കൊടുത്തതെന്ന് ഈ ഇടവകക്കാര്‍ക്കറിഞ്ഞാല്‍ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു. എത്ര കമ്പനികള്‍ ടെണ്ടര്‍ നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു? എന്ത് മാനദണ്ഠത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തി ലാണ് ഇവരുമായി ഇത്ര വലിയ ഒരു തുകയുടെ ഉടമ്പടിയിലേര്‍പ്പെട്ടത്‌? ചിക്കാഗോ ഏരിയയില്‍ ഈ കമ്പനി സൌണ്ട് സിസ്റ്റം സ്ഥാപിച്ച എത്ര പള്ളികള്‍ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ പോയി നേരിട്ടു കണ്ടുറപ്പുവരുത്തി ? ആദ്യം വകയിരുത്തിയ 50,000 ഡോളറില്‍ നിന്നും ആകെ തുക 124,000 ആയി ഉയരാനുള്ള ന്യായീകരണമെന്ത് ? അധികാരികള്‍ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഈ ചോദ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സത്യസന്ധമായ ഉത്തരം നല്‍കേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

It is time to act, we need a purification in our Church and redeem parishoners from the Devils. We need to brig some priest from Rome to do exorcism. You have copied the exact text from the website of the said Procom. Do we need further proof you are a paid agent of the said company?
We are assuming you were involved in this affair. If so, we are asking you, if you took all their advertising gibberish at face value, or did you do some research to verify their claims? How many churches that they did sound system installation did you visit? How many bids did you receive for this particular job? How many references did this company provide, and how many references did you verify? What was your particular reason for picking this particular company? What is the justification for the almost three-fold jump in the budget from 50M to 126M? Even after this, why are you not holding the company accountable for the inferior results we are getting?
This community has been ill served by your ilk, with the collaboration of the church authorities. We will fight for justice for the people of this community, on this and all matters concerning them.

The so-called church meeting was a sham; the buffoons in charge had no intention of answering to the people. That is the main problem - lack of accountability.
Someone commented earlier correctly, why does the church need these CPA's?

There was no oversight over these people, and due to either their incompetence, negligence, or greed, the church was not appropriately built.
Why aren't the church accounts made public? What is the purpose of printing weekly bulletins that do not provide any useful information for parishioners to know what is going on with our own church?
