I am a concerned parishioner and a newcomer to the voice; it is with deep regret I would like to express my concern about the construction of our new Cathedral and the current parking situation. The community has been hit by a tsunami (financial burden and parking) by the betrayal of the stooges (Andrew & Chamakala) who played a crooked role in the construction. First of all these two are too selfish and they wouldn’t even pick up a paper from the church parking lot without anything in return. Second, what they are doing is sticking on to the community in order to expand their tax business. Both Andrew and Chamakala acted secretly and designed everything (even the veil at the end) by themselves without involving any experienced people from our community. Those experienced people know the basics of construction. But here they started with a project of 6.5 million and ended with 10 million which is unacceptable. Any foolish person(s) can do this kind of irresponsible act. They should not be rewarded. In a civilized world if any group (committee) started a project say for example 6.5 million and completed the so-called project in just under 6.5 million, that group or leaders must be projected as the true example!!. In essence these stooges are nothing but inexperienced, selfish, arrogant boys and must be dealt with.

It is with sad note I would like to ask the following questions, in which both Chama and Andrew must answer,

1. How many parishioners agreed to name a committee called the annoying “Core Committee”
2. Who authorized them to put their name-plates (Core committee) on the entrance of the church (narthex)????
3. How much money (commission) are you going to get from each contractor next year? (Smart parishioners know that you wouldn’t dare to collect any commission during construction or this year)!!
4. How many syro-malabar churches in the world require cpa(s). Are cpa(s) indispensable for running a church?
5. Do you think that in your absence, other experienced people would have built a more spacious and beautiful church under 6 million dollars??? (If no, Watch how much money will be spend to build a church in Dallas!!!)
6. Are you well-organized thieves???
7. If not, are you ready to go for a Lie-detector Test or a Narco Analysis?

If both of you cannot answer these questions, the parishioners are loosing their patience. We ask all syromalabar taxpayers who prepare tax with these stooges to stop using these inexperienced duos. This is the time for all parishioners to come together as one family so that we can mitigate all problems including the parking etc !!!!!. We are in a financial situation where people are struggling to make their ends meet. The parishioners have contributed enormously and the church belongs to us not to these so-called cpa stooges. The authorities must listen to the people. In the near future a coalition of good-hearted parishioners will come together irrespective of Changanacherry and Ernakulam etc and sit at the narthex and protest peacefully (the way the great Mahatma Gandhi taught us) inviting all international media (cnn, abc, foxnews, asianet, kairaly etc) until our parking and other problems are resolved completely. “We are parishioners not prisoners”.
