ചിക്കാഗോ സീറോ മലബാര് ദേവാലയത്തിലെ Eucharistic Ministers ന്റെ മേല് പുതിയ നിയന്ത്രണം നിലവില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു വരെ ഭക്തജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് കൊടുക്കാനുള്ള തിരുവോസ്ത്തി ബലി പീഠ ത്തിന്റെ സമീപത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് കര്മ്മികന്റെയോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും പുരോഹിതന്റെയോ കയ്യില് നിന്നും Ministers ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങുകയാണ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്. അത് ശരിയല്ല എന്ന പുതിയ തത്വവുമായി ഇതാ കടുപ്പന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. പതിനാറാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഏതോ കല്ദായ പാരമ്പര്യമനുസരിച്ച് അവര്ക്ക് അല്താരയുടെ മൂന്നു നട താഴെ നില്ക്കാനുള്ള യോഗ്യതയെ ഉള്ളൂ അത്രേ. അതനുസരിച്ച് Ministers മൂന്നു സ്റ്റെപ്പ് താഴെ നില്ക്കുക. കാര്മ്മി, അല്ലെങ്കില് സഹ കാര്മ്മി, തിരുവോസ്തി മൂന്നു നട താഴെ നില്ക്കുന്ന Ministers ന് കൊണ്ടു വന്നു കൊടുക്കും.
ഈ കടുപ്പന്റെ മച്ചിങ്ങാതലയ്ക്കു വട്ടാണ് എന്ന് പറയാതെ തരമില്ല. ഇത്ര ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടി ഈ തിരുവോസ്തി വിതരണം Ministers നെ ഏല്പ്പിക്കുന്നത് എന്തിനാണ്? സ്വയം അങ്ങ് ചെയ്യരുതോ? ഒന്നുമല്ലെങ്കിലും അത് പുരോഹിതരുടെ ജോലിയാണല്ലോ. ഇഷ്ടം പോലെ വൈദികര് ഇതിലെ പണി യൊന്നുമില്ലാതെ കറങ്ങി നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ. കുര്ബാനയ്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുക്കേണ്ട സമയമാകുമ്പോള് എല്ലാവരും കൂടി ആ ഷട്ടില് എടുത്ത് ഇങ്ങു വരട്ടെ. സേവനം ചെയ്യുവാന് മുമ്പോട്ട് വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന അല്മായരെ അവഹെളിക്കുന്നതിനു ഒരതിരു വേണം.

lay "Eucharist ministers" is a protestant practice that was incorporated by some Latin churches in America, and definitely NOT a tradition or practice of the Syro-Malabar Church.
The priests in our church claim to be very traditional, that is their explanation for many things . . . yet they have "eucharistic ministers" and "liturgy coordinator"??? What is the need for this, as our community already has a sufficient number of priests and sisters to assist if needed.
I think it is because some people in the church want to shine in the church every week.
I think all eucharistic ministers should walk out. let the priests do their job. that is the way to teach them a lesson. eucharistic ministers do no deserve this kind of humiliation.

Why our church bulletin is not updated on the website?? Who is in charge of updating this on the web?? Most churches put the new bulletin before sunday, But our bulletin is always few weeks late. Why do even bother to put on line if it is that late??
Shame on the Bishop and Priests who introduced it.
I hope they will not insist on the traditional dressing of malayalees. (Mundu and a tholumunu No shirt, for ladies Chatta mundu).
If they only like the traditional way, just stay only in the well.
I sincerely wish and pray they use their common sence and take more wise decision.
you are worried about the bulletin not updated in the website. Nothing is updated in the website..Look at the pictures. The church is still under construction...look at the sermons...it is not updated...Look like some kacharas are behind this...On one hand they want to polish the shoe of the vicar and on the other , they want to do nothing..if the webmaster is not able to do his job..please let others do it...or the church can hire professional people...

Wow!!! That was fast, they updated the Church bulletin. Amazing. If it only takes few mintes to do this, why do they wait until someone complains.
Church Website is still outdated. It shows the old mass schedule. Look services section; Is it a paid job or a voluntary job?
Church Bullettin and website is very funny.
There is a "Napumsakam Komali" handling the website. Since he is the webmaster, he and his "Idi-Kunnathu" family want to clinch on to some part of the web portion and the "Ooshan" will always want to be the web master. Thats the reason it never gets updated.
I guess if we can spend 10Million on the church, we can spend couple of thousands on the website too.

There will be lots of worst ideas yet to come and the Vicar will put forward renovation because he does not have any new card to play and fool around. If the dirty priests can perform dance in the altar, we the faithful are much deeper and sincere in front of God.
Previously Veerapans were hiding in jungles and rough seas to loot others. Nowadays the Vearrapans are in the form of bishops and priests to loot the believers in the lime light under the worship houses. In every religion the religious are the most corrupted people and history proven it already. The clergy like ours in the SMC Chicago church is the best example of that.
The Bishop and Vicar lost their credibility.
Let put some hourly rate priests on duty to pull and push the purple sheela during every mass. Fr. Antony and Kaduppan can be on call for this sheela pull duty.

The current bulletins are really junk, waste of space. No relevant material in it. No information to update parishioners. They should take a look at how standard American Catholic churches write their weekly bulletins. Probably the printer is making a profit off of us by printing in color too.
