എത്ര മഹത്തായ വാക്കുകള്! ഏതോ ലോകോത്തര സംഗീത പ്രതിഭയെപ്പറ്റി, ഒരു പക്ഷെ Mozart നെയോ Bach നെയോ പറ്റി തന്നെ പരാമര്ശിച്ചു എഴുതിയ വാക്കുകളാണിവ എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പോകും.
പക്ഷെ ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ അഞ്ജരായ കച്ചറ കമ്മിറ്റി എവിടെ നിന്നോ ചോര്ത്തിയെടുത്ത ഈ മനോഹര വാക്കുകള് ശരിക്കും പുലയാടിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ചെറിയാന് വാഴപ്പള്ളി എന്ന സംഗീത കിശുവിനെ സീറോ മലബാര് അംഗങ്ങള്ക്ക് പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുവാന് !
ഒന്നു രണ്ടു എളിയ ചോദ്യങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങള് ചോദിച്ചോട്ടെ. ഈ കച്ചറ കമ്മിറ്റിയിലെ എത്രപേര് ഈ മാന്യന്റെ സംഗീത പ്രതിഭ നേരിട്ടു കേട്ടനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്? അദ്ദേഹം പിയാനോ വായിക്കുന്നതോ, ഡ്രം വായിക്കുന്നതോ, guitar വായിക്കുന്നതോ, വയലിന് വായിക്കുന്നതോ ഈ കച്ചറ കമ്മിറ്റിയിലെ ആരെങ്കിലും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ഇത്ര വലിയ ഒരു മഹാ പ്രതിഭ നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തില് ഒളിച്ചിരുന്നിട്ടു എന്തുകൊണ്ട് നമ്മുടെ കൊയറില് ഒന്നു മുഖം കാണിച്ചില്ല എന്ന് ഞങ്ങള് അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുകയാണ്. ഇയ്യാള് സംഗീത ലോകത്ത് എന്ത് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നൊന്നറിഞ്ഞാല് കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു.
പ്രിയ കച്ചറ കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങളെ, നിങ്ങള് എന്തിന് നമ്മുടെ നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും അവരുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളെയും വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നു ? ഈ ചെറിയാന് എന്ന വ്യക്തിക്ക് സംഗീതത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ചുക്കും അറിയെല്ലെന്നുള്ളത് ഒരു സത്യം മാത്രമാണ്. ഇയാളുടെ പക്ഷമുള്ളത് വെറും ചെപ്പടി വിദ്യ മാത്രം. "എനിക്കിതറിയാം, അതറിയാം, എല്ലാം വായിക്കാനറിയാം " എന്നൊന്നും പറഞ്ഞതു കൊണ്ടു ആരും സംഗീതജ്ഞരാകുന്നില്ല. കച്ചറ കമ്മിറ്റിയാണെങ്കിലും പള്ളിയോടു ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടുള്ള ഒരു കമ്മിറ്റി യായതിനാല് നമ്മുടെ ആളുകള് നിങ്ങളില് അല്പ്പം വിശ്ര്വാസമര്പ്പിക്കുന്നത് തികച്ചും സ്വാഭാവികമാണ്. അവരോട് നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യുന്ന കടുത്ത വിശ്വാസ വഞ്ചനയാണ് ഇതുപോലുള്ള അനര്ഹരെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുവാനുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം ഏല്പ്പിക്കുന്നത്. വെറുതെ b--- s--- എഴുതിവച്ചു പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണില് നിങ്ങള് പൊടിയിടുകയാണ്. വിദ്യ കയ്യിലുള്ളവനെ അത് മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്ക് പകര്ന്ന് കൊടുക്കാന് കഴിയൂ എന്ന സത്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കാനുള്ള വിവരം പോലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കില്ലാതെ പോയതില് ഖേദിക്കുന്നു.

I am here to comment on an issue that is dominant through out this blog. Marthoma Cross or Suriyani Cross is taken from the Jacobite-Orthodox tradition along with thirasheela and east-ward praying. These are not nestorian or Manikeinism but part of the Oriental tradition as a whole, it may be part of Nestorian Tradition but is also part of the eastern tradition as a whole. Also just because someone heretic uses it doesn't mean its bad. I dont know what the church politics this blog is part of, but Suriyani Cross has been a part of the Jacobite- orthodox church in Kerala for the last 20 centuries, so it is not something new, may be new to catholic church.
This is not an arguement but a small comment.

Who is Cherian? Never heard of him.
Teaching children is a very responsible duty. There is no room for dirty politics there. Fr antony has politicized everything in the church including the so called cultural academy. The head of this commmittee is hand picked by fr antony because of his loyalty. All the members of the said committee is fr antony's boot lickers and ass kissers. No doubt our childrens mind is going to be poisoned by these unprincipled idiots.

The Chicago St.Thomas cathedral priests are the offenders, they are the dripping venom in their mission centers and they are anti catholic. Priests and clergies are the most corrupted people in India and especially the MST priest of Syro Malabar Church form Kerala are real parasites of the community in USA and world over. Their motive is to force pagan theology and to spoil the believers and many faithful are going out of the main stream faith to other denominations because of their dram in the church. The Chicago diocese is keep bringing priests form India to USA only to highlight the Chicago wondrous circus tent (the SMC Cathedral Church) and they are using Sunday mass as a stage for their dram. These priests are not sincere to the SMC community and to the church. They are coming here for make money.
On Good Friday, we remember the crucifixion and death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible records the miraculous events that took place at the moment of His death. Jesus breathed his last with removing the VEIL of the temple and it is recoded in many places in holy bible. There no place for VEIL in the Church, it is pagan and satanic separation.
The purpose of the veil or curtain, was to separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place, the “Holy-of-Holies”. The tabernacle of God was a place of mediation. The people of Israel had to go through a physical priest to meet with God. The Priesthood was establishes as mediators between the Children of Israel and God. And only the High Priest could enter the Holy-of-Holies once a year to reconcile the people to God on the Day of Atonement.
[Mark 15:37-38 ] “37) With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. 38The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. “
Luke records it at just before or at the moment of His death.
[Luke 23 44-46] “44) It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46) Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.”

I agree with voice. Did the cultural committee check the credentials of all academy teachers. Did you do an audition.
Honestly I never heard of this Cherian. I have heard Shanthi singing film songs. I have seen her dancing too. Pretty good, I should say. But can she teach? That is a different question.
That said, Jessy was a qualified music teacher. By her not being in the academy is a loss to us, not her.
I am a cultural academy parent and I was wondering who Cherian is. I did my work and here is the fact. Did anyone know he was instructing in kanaya center and was done with one time performance which was poor in quality.His daughter is married to one famous Trichur family here.He was tardy and no show on days he was supposed to instruct.Why is he not in any of our church activities even for the big inauguration music? He claims he knows"everything".I think our committee took face value for his bogus claims.He will not be a replacement for Jack who has been in american schools for years.
I did not comment about this because I wanted to argue. So no comments to the person who is hidden behind a veil speaking against the veil.
Looking at the stupid bulletin from Sept. 6 (online) now it has the "director of Cultural Academy" listed in the top section in same section as the vicar, and on the last page it says they will be introducing their "Faculty Members". So now these buffoons think they are professors!?
This is yet another example of cronyism and theft in our church, people coming in for personal fame or gain.
