The Flocks of Coppell All Set To Welcome Their Shepherd

The Syro Malabar faithful by the hundreds are waiting excitedly for the arrival of their beloved bishop Mar Angadiath for the consecration of their new church in Coppell, Texas.
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. this Saturday. The bishop and his entourage will arrive at the airport Friday evening. A welcoming group under the vicar, comprised of various committe members, kaikkarans and lay leaders will be at hand at the airport for a red carpet like welcome for the bishop.

With the marthoma cross/altar viri controversy behind them, the Coppell communiity is united in love and brotherhood to extend a hearty welcome to the bishop. An elaborate welcome ceremony is planned for him on Saturday at the church. Kaikkaran thoma has a Texas sized boquet, and the chenda melam members has been practicing overtime. Ladies in their set sari and achayans in their best jubba and children in coulourful attaire will festoon both sides of the procession leading to the church. With muthukkuda, chenda melam and all other pomp and show, bishop andadiath is sure to get a welcome only Texans can give.

The Coppell community has been ecstatic that the bishop agreed to their unanimous demand for crucifix. The bishop agreed to their demand, which had a profound effect on the unity of the faithful. Mistrust and misunderstanding are considered things of the past, and it is to the credit of the bishop and the faithful of Coppell that they can raise above petty and divisive politics and show the the whole world we arew all children of on God.

Without question Coppell is the center of attention this weekend for all church loving syro malabarians. The prayers of every syro malabar member from all parishes and missions in USA IS WITH THEM.
Their prayers are with them for a peaceful, blessful consecration of their new House of God.

We will bring updates and photos of their occassion of joy to our readers as it happens.

Dear Coppel Brothers,
Congratulations on your achievement. May God bless you for all the efforts that you have undertaken. But beware of the very cool and smiling Bishop. Remember the Bisop has ordered you not to do any modification to the existing Altar. That is a big trap. It is a time buying trick and eventually they will brain wash some of you and take them to their side. This will bring the "Clavar and the Sheela" back again. Then you will not have the strength you hve today. Better finsh the altar with the design you want, right now. "Loha Garam he, Mar dao hattoda" meaning now the metal is hot shape it right now. Once it becomes cold it takes exponentially more force to shape it. May God bless you and my prayers always with you.

People of faith have spoken, they put their faith into action and you Coppell brothers, you are really the GEMs of the Syro Malabar Community in USA. In Chicago, the church authorities really ditched the faithful.

St.Thomas Christian of India has had a unique identify from the beginning that is the deep rooted faith in the Lord and in Church. Here there is no question of majority or minority, whether we are from Palai, Chnaganacherry, Kottayam, Kothamangalam, Ernakulum or Trichure and beyond; when we profess Christ then we are actually lifting the holy cross and we are called to lift the Holy Cross through which salvation is brought to us by Our Lord Jesus Christ. If bishop hates our Holy Cross, then he is not among us, if he likes the darkness of marthoma cross then he is the part of the worldly God.

John condemns these people as “false prophets,” possessed by the spirit of the antichrist.

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. (1 John 4:2-3).

Be with Christ’s Cross that is really our Holy Cross at the ends of the world.

Dear St Alphonsa parishoners,
Just Keep in mind, this is about keeping the FOUNDATION OF OUR CATHOLIC FAITH,not about winning or loosing. It is time that we stay united and go forward as one community, one Alphonsa family unit under Saji Achan. It is time to stop all the mud slinging. It is time for the heeling process to begin.
Now it is time for erasing these past few difficult weeks, that we all wish, had not been there, from our memory.Hopefully this will help us better understand our TRUE CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN FAITH.
We as a strong catholic community, can show the rest of the world, especially our SYROMALABR BROTHERS,how we can survive,a very difficult conflict of our lives, and still stay united as one community. This is the time to show our commitment to OUR FAITH and NOT BRING POLITICS INTO CHURCH.We can all watch our kids grow in our SYROMALABAR CATHOLIC FAITH,wich itself is our identity.
This is the time to show our YOUTH AND CHILDREN how their parents can resolve difference of opinions in a matured fashion and move on in peace and love.We should show our children that we stand up against devisiveness, that we work for the common good, that we are an open minded community that accepts all catholics, especially ALL OF THE SYRO MALABAR CATHOLICS OF KERALA regardless of WHAT DIOCESE THEY BELONGED TO IN KERALA.
After all it is OUR CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN FAITH that we should give more importance to.OUR FAITH is about following JESUS CHRIST'S TEACHING AND LIVING BY HIS LAWS not just about the MAN MADE RITUALS AND LAWS.
It is time for us to PRAY FOR OUR BISHOPS AND PRIESTS SO THEY CAN GUIDE US TO UNITY, LOVE,PEACE,AND FELLOWSHIP.
GOD BLESS ALL.
A hopefull faithful.
