- Contributed by a reader ഈ ലേഖകന്‍ അടുത്ത കാലത്ത് നസ്രത്തിലെ ഉണ്ണി പിറന്ന കാലിതൊഴുത്തും റോമിലെ സെന്റ് പീറ്റേഴ്സ് ബസലിക്കായും മാര്‍പ്പാപ്പയുടെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ വത്തിക്കാന്‍ കൊട്ടാരവും സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കാന്‍ ഇടയായി. തദവസരത്തില്‍ മനസ്സിലുദിച്ച ചില എളിയ ചിന്തകള്‍ വായനക്കാരുമായി പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സാമ്പത്തിക നേട്ടങ്ങളുടെ വിവരിക്കാനാവാത്ത ഒരു ശ്രംഗലയായി കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭ വളര്‍ന്നിട്ടൂണ്ടെന്നുള്ള സത്യം ഏത് സാധാരണക്കാരനും അറിയാവുന്നതാണ്. മാര്‍പ്പാപ്പയും കര്ദ്ദി‍നാളന്‍മാരും മെത്രാന്മാനരും ഒക്കെ വാഴുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങള്‍ പാലസ് അഥവാ കൊട്ടാരം എന്നാണറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഈ വിരോധാഭാസം നിലനില്ക്കു ന്നിടത്തോളം കാലം സഭ എങ്ങിനെ പാവപ്പെട്ടവന്റേതായി മാറും? ദൈവത്തിന്റെ തിരുവചനങ്ങള്‍ അടങ്ങുന്ന ബൈബിള്‍ മുഴുവന്‍ പരിശോധിച്ചാല്‍ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും അവരുടെ പിന്തുടര്ച്ചക്കാരായ സഭാ നേതൃത്വവും , കൊട്ടാര സമാനമായ മന്ദിരങ്ങളും ജീവിത സൌകര്യങ്ങളും ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തണമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ഇതേ ചോദ്യം ഏകദേശം 1200 കോടി കത്തോലിക്കര്ക്കും ബാധകമാണ്, തികച്ചും ദാരിദ്ര്യം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവരൊഴിച്ച്. ഈ അവസരത്തില്‍ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ ചോരയും വിയര്പ്പും ജീവനും ബലി കഴിച്ചു പാവങ്ങള്ക്കായി പണിയെടുക്കുന്ന അനേകം മിഷണറിമാരെ ഓര്‍ത്ത് പോവുകയാണ്. കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ നിലനില്പ്പിനും ,പേരിനും, പ്രശംസയ്ക്കുമൊക്കെ , കോടികളുടെ വരുമാനം ഒരു അത്യാവശ്യ ഘടകം ആണെന്നുള്ളത് സത്യം തന്നെ. അങ്ങിനെ "ദരിദ്രര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്‍" എന്ന് ഇടിവെട്ട് പോലെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതരും ആല്മായ ശ്രേഷ്ഠരുമൊക്കെ ലോകത്തിലെ പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന് സഭാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ പിന്‍ വാതിലിലൂടെ കോടികള്‍ അടിച്ചുമാറ്റുന്ന കാഴ്ചയും നാം കാണുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇക്കൂട്ടരുടെ പ്രസംഗം പാറയില്‍ വീണ വിത്തുകളാണെന്ന് ജനകോടികള്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കി തുടങ്ങി. ഒരു വ്യത്യാസം കാണുന്നത്, സഭയുടെ പാശ്ചാത്യ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില്‍ ഈ പ്രവണത കുറവാണെന്നുള്ളതാണ്. ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ നമ്മുടെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭ ഏറ്റവും മുന്നില്‍ തന്നെ. ഈ ദയനീയാവസ്ഥ മനസ്സിലാക്കികൊണ്ട് സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയുടെ തലവനായ അത്യുന്നത കര്ദിനാള്‍ തിരുമേനി ഒരു ലേഖനം വരെ എഴുതി. ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു വരുന്നത് , കാലിതൊഴുത്തില്‍ പിറന്ന യേശുവിന്റെ നാമധേയത്തില്‍ പണിതുയര്ത്തി യിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ഭൌതീക സാമ്രാജ്യം ഓര്സലേം ദേവാലയം പോലെയോ ബാബിലോണിലെ ഗോപുരം പോലെയോ തകര്ന്നു വീഴാന്‍ അധിക സമയമൊന്നും വേണ്ട. മനുഷ്യന്‍ വാരിക്കൂട്ടുന്ന പണവും പ്രതാപവും സ്വത്തുക്കളും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുമൊക്കെ വെറും നൈമിഷികങ്ങളാണെന്ന് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് സഭ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ല? കഷ്ടം തന്നെ!
- ഈ അവസരത്തില്‍ എന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധ ആകര്ഷി്ച്ചത് കോട്ടക്കല്‍ അച്ചന്‍ എഴുതിയ "ഒരു മിഷണറിയും ലിമോസിനും" എന്ന അര്ത്ഥഗംഭീരമായ ലേഖനമാണ്.മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആദ്ധ്യാല്മീകവും ഭൌതീകവുമായ ജീവിത ശൈലി എങ്ങിനെ കെട്ടിപ്പടുക്കാമെന്ന് അതില്‍ പ്രതിപാദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ലളിത ജീവിതവും ഉല്‍കൃഷ്ട ചിന്തയുമാണ് നമ്മെ നയിക്കേണ്ടതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഊന്നിപ്പറയുന്നു. ഇവിടെ ചില കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ അച്ചന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയില്പ്പെുടുത്താനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്നത്തെ കേരളത്തിലെ അച്ചന്മാ‍രുടെ ജീവിത ശൈലി തന്നെ ഉദാഹരണം. അച്ചന്മാരില്‍ ഏതാണ്ട് മുക്കാല്‍ പങ്കിനും സ്വന്തമായി വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ട്. പിന്നെ സ്വദേശത്ത് നിന്നും വിദേശത്ത് നിന്നും സമാഹരിച്ച അളവില്ലാത്ത പണം കൊണ്ട് വാങ്ങിക്കൂട്ടൂന്ന സ്ഥാവരജംഗമ വസ്തുവകകള്‍ വേറെ. ഈയിടെ അരമനയില്‍ നിന്നും അടിച്ചുമാറ്റിയ പണം കൊണ്ട് നാട്ടില്‍ റബ്ബര്‍ തോട്ടവും പെങ്ങള്ക്ക് വീടും സമ്പാദിച്ചെന്ന ചിക്കാഗോയിലെ രൂപതാ പ്രമുഖനായ ഒരു പുരോഹിതനെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ആരോപണത്തില്‍ ഒട്ടും അതിശയോക്തി ഇല്ല. . ദാരിദ്ര്യം, കന്യാവ്രതം, അനുസരണം എന്നീ മൂന്ന് ഗുണങ്ങള്‍ പാലിക്കാന്‍ വൃതമെടുത്തവര്‍ കാട്ടിക്കൂട്ടുന്ന പേക്കൂത്തുകള്‍ കേട്ടാല്‍ മൂക്കത്ത് വിരല്‍ വച്ച് പോകും. ബലഹീനതകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യുന്ന തെറ്റുകള്‍ ദൈവം ക്ഷമിച്ചേക്കാം , പക്ഷേ സഭയുടെ ബാനറില്‍ അധികാരവും അവകാശവും പിടിച്ചു പറ്റി പൂച്ച പാലുകുടിക്കും പോലെ കാട്ടിക്കൂട്ടുന്ന വൃത്തികേടുകള്‍ പൊറുക്കപ്പെടുവാന്‍ അര്ഹതയുള്ളതല്ല. ചിക്കാഗോ രൂപത ഉണ്ടായപ്പോള്‍ ഇവിടത്തെ അനേകായിരം സീറോ മലബാര്‍ വിശ്വാസികള്‍ അതിനെ ഒരു സ്വപ്ന സാക്ഷാല്ക്കാരമായി കരുതി. പക്ഷേ ആ മധുര സ്വപ്നം ഇന്ന് ഒരു പേക്കിനാവായി വിശ്വാസികളെ വേട്ടയാടുകയാണ്. ഓരോ പള്ളി പൊങ്ങിവരുമ്പോഴും ലക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ വെട്ടിപ്പ് റിയല്‍ എസ്റ്റേറ്റ് മാഫിയായും അധികാരികളും കൂടിച്ചേര്ന്ന് നടത്തുന്നു. എന്തു തടയും എന്നുള്ളതാണ് ഓരോ ബിസ്സിനസ്സ് നടത്തുമ്പോഴും അധികാര സ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധ. ഗാര്‍ലണ്ടിലെ കാവ്യേടെ കാബറേ പരിപാടിയുടെ മറവില്‍ ഉയര്ന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന സാമ്പത്തിക ക്രമക്കേടുകള്‍ അന്വേഷണ വിധേയമാക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. കത്തീഡ്രല്‍ പള്ളിയും പിതാവിന്റെ കൊട്ടാരവും ഒക്കെ പണിതപ്പോള്‍ ഇതേ ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു . പള്ളി വാങ്ങാന്‍ ഉള്ള പ്ലാന്‍ ഇടുമ്പോഴേ റിയല്‍ എസ്റ്റേറ്റ് മാഫിയ പള്ളിക്കമ്മറ്റികളില്‍ കയറിക്കൂടാന്‍ ഇടിയാണ്. മൂന്ന് നാലുപേര്‍ കയറിക്കൂടിയാല്‍ പിന്നെ അടി ആയി. അവസാനം എല്ലാവരും കൂടി അടി നിറുത്തി ലാഭം പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ച നാം കാണുന്നു. അച്ചനും കൊടുക്കും ഒരു വീതം. കാനന്‍ നിയമത്തിന്റെ ബലിഷ്ടമായ കരങ്ങളില്‍ കണക്കും കാര്യങ്ങളുമൊക്കെ ഒരു ഗൂഢ രഹസ്യമായി നിലനില്ക്കും. പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട അല്മാമയരെ ഇത് നമ്മുടെ കഷ്ടകാലത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കം മാത്രം. ചിക്കാഗോ രൂപതയെ ഏതാനും പണക്കൊത്തിയന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രമാണിമാര്ക്കും വിട്ടു കൊടുത്തതിനെ ആണ് ഇവിടെ വിശ്വാസികള്‍ എതിര്ത്ത ത്. കോപ്പെല്‍ ഒരു നല്ല തുടക്കമായിരുന്നു. ഏതായാലും ശീലയും ക്ളാവരും തൂക്കില്ലായെന്ന പ്രഖ്യാപനം അത്രയും ആശ്വാസ ദായകം.
- ചിക്കാഗോയിലെ കത്തീഡ്രലിനും കൊട്ടാരത്തിനും കൂടി ഏകദേശം 10 മുതല്‍ 12 വരെ മില്ലിയണ് ചിലവാക്കിയെന്നാണ് കേഴ്വി. അത് നാട്ടിലെ കണക്ക് പ്രകാരം ഏകദേശം 50 കോടി രൂപയില്‍ അധികം വരും. അതില്‍ എത്ര മാത്രം ഒട്ടീരും പറ്റീരും നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് ഉള്ളത് ഈശ്വരനും സഭാധികാരികള്ക്കും മാത്രം അറിയാവുന്ന ഒരു നഗ്നസത്യം . ഈ രൂപതയിലെ മെത്രാനും അച്ചന്മാരും ലിമോസിനില്‍ നടന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും സാമാന്യം ഭേദപ്പെട്ട വാഹനങ്ങളിലാണ് സ്ഥിരസഞ്ചാരം. വിമാനത്തിലെ ബിസ്സിനസ്സ് ക്ലാസ് ഒരു പത്ത് ലിമോസിന്റെ ഗുണം ചെയ്യും. പിന്നെ സ്വകാര്യ യാത്രകളും ഔദ്യോഗികമാക്കി എഴുതിത്തള്ളുമ്പോള്‍ കുശാലേ കുശാല്‍! എന്നിട്ടൊരു പാവം പാതിരി ആദ്യമായി ഒരു ലിമോസിനില്‍ കയറിയപ്പോള്‍ അതും നാട്ടുകാരുടെ കൃപ കൊണ്ട് , ഉണ്ടായ കോലാഹലങ്ങള്‍ പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാന്‍ വയ്യാത്തതായിരുന്നു. നാണമില്ലെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ? അവനവന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ തടി എടിത്തിട്ടു പോരെ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടെടുക്കാന്‍ തുനിയുന്നത്! കേരളത്തിലെ 27 രൂപതകളില്‍ നിന്നും വന്നിട്ടുള്ള സീറോ മലബാര്‍ വിശ്വാസികളുടെമേല്‍ , രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ രൂപതകളില്‍ മാത്രം നടമാടുന്ന അനാചാരങ്ങളും അന്ധവിശ്വാസങ്ങളും കയ്യൂക്കിന്റെയും അധികാര പ്രമത്തതയുടെയും പിന്ബലത്താല്‍ , ബഹുപൂരിപക്ഷത്തിന്റെയും ആഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിപരീതമായി അടിച്ചേല്പ്പിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് ഉചിതമോ? അതിന് വേണ്ടി ഏതാനും സാമൂഹ്യ ദ്രോഹികളെയും കൂട്ടുപിടിച്ചു രാപകല്‍ ഭേദമില്ലാതെ ഇത്രമാത്രം ഭഗീരഥ പ്രയത്നം ചെയ്യുന്നത് അനിവാര്യമൊ? നമ്മുടെ സഭയുടെ പോക്ക് എങ്ങോട്ട്? പതിനാറാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെക്കോ? അതോ നാലാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ നെസ്തോറിയന്‍ മാനിയുടെ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലേക്കോ? ഇത് ഇരുപത്തൊന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടാണ് എന്ന് സഭാ നേതൃത്വം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞാല്‍ നന്ന്. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ താളത്തിന് തുള്ളാന്‍ ഏതാനും സാമൂഹ്യ ദ്രോഹികളും കുറെ അന്ധവിശ്വാസികളും കാണും. പണത്തിന് മുട്ട് വരുമ്പോള്‍ സാമൂഹ്യ ദ്രോഹികള്‍ കയ്യൊഴിയും. അതുകൊണ്ട് വിശ്വാസികളുടെ മനസ്സറിഞ്ഞു , ക്ളാവരും ശീലയുമൊക്കെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ,സാമ്പത്തിക കുറ്റവാളികളെ പ്രോല്സാ്ഹിപ്പിക്കാതെ ഭരണം മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോകാന്‍ ഒരു എളിയ പ്രാര്ത്ഥകനയോടെ ചുരുക്കട്ടെ.

I am getting slightly angry with what I see and what I experience. I like to give more to church but seeing the "Ghost Actions" I lost all my interests. I am NOT out. But financially I am out. I decide to donate the intented money to the Poor Deserved in India. I don't think USA church need any more money.
When poor person wears torn clothes: it's shameful.
When rich person wears torn clothes: it's fashion.
Poor person in skin and bones: worth nothing.
Rich person in skin and bones: super model.
Poor priests revealing finacial fraud by rich: mortal crime.
Rich priests committing financial fraud: what fraud?
Priest from poor family leading a corruption free priestly life: firing offense.

The Bishop Angadiath is promoting pagan practices and worshipping many St.Thomas. Please do not try to elevate any man made creation above the creator itself. It is against the 10 commandments and it is against the core Christian fundamentals.
The substance and tranquility of the SMC-USA has been beaten by the fraudulent SMC Bishop and his parasite Priests. The fence (SMC Chicago Diocese) supposedly built to defend/preserve the faith in USA; however the diocese is looting the faithful. Bishop Angadiath is 100% responsible for the ugly situation of SMC in USA and unfortunately we do not have a single good parasite priest in Chicago.
The SMC Chicago made the holy Altar to an ugly setup by putting the Veil and the Claver Cross. THE CLAVER CROSS HAS NO MERIT TO VENERATE IN AN ALTAR; IT IS GOOD ENOUGH AS A PAPER WEIGHT IN AN OFFICE. A CROSS IS NEVER WORHSIPPED, BUT A CRUCIFIX ALWAYS.

താങ്കളുടെ കമന്റ് വളരെ അവസരോചിതമാണ്. സത്യ വിശ്വാസത്തിലും ദൈവ ഭക്തിയിലും വൈദീക ബഹുമാനത്തിലും വളരെ അടിയുറച്ച ഒരു കുടുംബത്തില്‍ നിന്നും വന്ന വ്യക്തിയാണ് ഞാന്‍. എന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില്‍ ഒന്നിലേറെ വൈദീകരും കന്യാസ്ത്രീകളും ഉണ്ട്. പത്രാസ് പറഞ്ഞതല്ല. പക്ഷേ ഇന്ന് ഞാന്‍ totally confused ആണ്. കാരണം ചെറുപ്പം മുതലേ പാലിച്ചു പോന്ന വിശ്വാസങ്ങളും അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളും വെറും ജല രേഖകള്‍ എന്ന് തോന്നിക്കും വിധം കലങ്ങി മറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു അമേരിക്കയിലെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയിലെ അധികാരികളുടെയും വിശ്വാസികളുടെയും പൊളിറ്റിക്സ് . വളരെ വിഷമമുണ്ട് ഇതെഴുതാന്‍. എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ ഇന്നേവരെ ഞാന്‍ സഭാ പിതാക്കന്മാരെയോ വൈദീകരെയോ പറ്റി മോശമായി ഒന്നും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. പക്ഷേ അമേരിക്കയില്‍ വന്ന ശേഷം ഞാന്‍ ആ തെറ്റു ചെയ്തു. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇവിടത്തെ സഭയിലെ ദുര്‍പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ എന്നെക്കൊണ്ട് അത് ചെയ്യിച്ചു. എന്റെ സ്വന്തം അമ്മ ഇതറിഞ്ഞാല്‍ എന്നെ മനസുരുകി ശപിക്കും. അത്രമാത്രം തീഷ്ണമാണ് അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം . ഞാനും ഇന്ന് മനസൂരുകി ദൈവത്തോട് ക്ഷമ യാചിക്കുകയാണ്. പക്ഷേ പെട്ടു പോയി. സാഹചര്യങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടത് ചെയ്യിച്ചു. ധാര്‍മിക ബോധം ഉണര്‍ന്നെണീറ്റാല്‍ എന്തു ചെയ്യാന്‍ പറ്റും? അത്രയ്ക്ക് അധാര്‍മീകത ആണ് ഇവിടത്തെ സഭാധികാരികള്‍ ചെയ്തു കൂട്ടുന്നത്. ഇനി എന്റെ ചോദ്യം! Are you ready to be held accountable for my sins of criticizing the church ? കാരണം എന്നെക്കൊണ്ട് അത് ചെയ്യിച്ചത് നിങ്ങളാണ്. ദൈവമേ ഇവര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നത് എന്തെന്ന് ഇവര്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല . ഇവരോടും എന്നോടും പൊറുക്കണമെ!

Look around and you will find many pentecostal brothers, join them don't come to SMC. Its a win win for you and SMC.
We need clarity on how money is spent and transparency in our church. I am not throwing away money any more.

I am a SM Catholic living in USA.I am here because of better opportunities and better job.I thank God for that. I don't see any problem my priest and Bishop living in better situation. I know they can do this only because people like me contributing to church and Diocese.Because our priests appointed to a parish cannot work somewhere else and support themselves ,like Marthoma priests and others. So it is our responsibility to support them (home ,food, car, insurance etc.) As long as we are the member of the church we must do it.
I don't know why some of our members thinking other way!! You don't have to give more than you can afford or more than they need!!!Don't give extra!!!, But It is our responsibility to support our achan and Diocese. I see the most criticism coming from non paying members!!!too baad!!!!

Kerala Police or Kerala Priest?
For all Catholics, Pope is our supreme authority and Vatican is the supreme source for all faith related matters and we always believe that pope is always foolproof in all religious and biblical teaching.
Bishop Angadiath is not following Pope’s direction and he is not following Vatican’s directions also. Therefore it is very difficult to follow and respect him as the Bishop of Syro Malabar community in USA. It has been proven that Bishop Angadiath is an anti-catholic.
What is the right thing?
Supporting corruption in our diocese? Standing by silently when a good priest is fired for following the pope's orders? Feeding the money frenzy of the syro clergy?
Doing the right thing is:
1. Guiding the diocese away from their materialistic view.
2. Helping the diocese understand that pope is our highest priest on earth and we must obey him.
3. Letting the diocese know when they have done wrong, like firing Fr.Saji for installing crucifix.
4. Voicing against closing our church because diocean authority cann't control their anger and jealousy towards a poor priest.
5. Insisting on financial prudence, and integrity in handling church's financial matters.
Kattackalachan love money ( Dollar)

But dear SMC , our Malayalam Mass, Sunday 10:00am only.
Spanish Mass Monday through Saturday, For money….
All money from Missions and Spanish goes to Dr. Dr. own pocket.
Vhurch needs to strong in all aspects. If not other religions will easily destroy us. Do you know any organizations/group/entity that remains for 20 centuries as a "poor" organization. Even Communist Marxist party ( the defender of the poor) has richest people...
So please don't think... and please don't visit other places.. be poor/silly and stay at your home always. and keep mouth shut if all you can think of is negative and criticism.
