Fr Antony arm twisted the then parish council members to get the Cathedral construction project started..Who ever opposed the idea was forced out of the council or got shut up...
It was a colossal waste and a burden on the parish members.. We can not have another parish in the Chicago land area until the debts are paid off..
Until then I will have to drive 40 miles every Sunday to see the Malayalam mass...
I hope that someday Fr. Antony will realize the mistake he made and the pain and grief he caused to others..

After hearing Thundan's speech on Sunday, I am convinced that he is going MAD; there are every signs of it. That is the minimum punishment for cheating simple people in the name of God.
I had a good "pottichiri" when he said that we had to register in order to comply with insurance policy. It seems all Thundan's advisers are stupid - like him. That is so sad. Thundan has made sure that all pastor council members and Kaikkarans are all 'stupid'.
One final point: We never had such elaborate dinner for anybody send-off in our church. Why don't we have a simple send off function after next sunday's mass? Save the dinner money and use it for CCD registration of some 'poor family'

ഹായ് അച്ഛാ , ഞാന്‍ വളരെ അധികം ഇഷ്ടപെടുന്ന ഒരു വൈദികനാണ് അച്ഛന് . നമ്മുടെ ഇടവകയില്‍ സാമ്പത്തികമായി ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്ന ധാരാളം ഇടവകാങ്ങളെ എനിക്ക് നേരിട്ടറിയാം , അച്ഛനരിയില്ലേലും. നമ്മള്‍ മലയാളികള്‍ ഇവിടുത്തെ സാധാരണക്കാരനാണ് , അല്ലാതെ സമ്പത്ത് കുമിഞ്ഞു കൂടി പിശുക്കി കഴിയുന്ന വളരെകുറച് ആള്‍ക്കാരെ നമ്മുടെ പള്ളിയില്‍ വരുന്നുള്ളൂ. രണ്ടറ്റവും കൂടി മുട്ടിക്കാന്‍ പാട് പെടുന്ന പാവ പെട്ടവര്‍ ധാരാളം നമ്മുടെ പള്ളിയില്‍ വരുന്നുണ്ട്. ഞാന്‍ ഇവിടുത്തെ ഒരു ഫാക്ടറി ജോലിക്കാരനാണ് , എന്റെ ഭാര്യ ബേബി സിറ്റ് ചെയ്താണ് ഇവിടെ ജീവിക്കുന്നത് . വളെരെ തുച്ചമായ വരുമാനം കൊണ്ട് ജീവിക്കുന്ന ഞങ്ങള് നാട്ടില്‍ വളരെ സമൃദ്ധിയില്‍ ആണ് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത്
നമ്മുടെ പിതാമഹന്മാര്‍ നമുക്ക് തന്ന വിശ്വാസം , ആചാര അനുഷ്ടാനങ്ങള്‍ , അറിവുകള്‍ , പാരമ്പര്യം ഇതെല്ലാം കത്ത് സൂക്ഷികേണ്ട കടമ സിറോ മലബാരുകാരായ നമുക്കില്ലേ , ഇതൊക്കെയല്ലേ നമ്മുടെയൊക്കെ കടമ ഈ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കെന്‍ മാര്‍ക്കു . അച്ഛാ എന്റെ ജൊലി പോയി , എനിക്ക് വന്നു അച്ചന്റെയരിക്കല്‍ ഇരക്കാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുണ്ട് , അതുപോലെ തന്നെ മറ്റു പ്രമാണികളുടെ എരിക്കലും. ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ കത്തോലിക്കാ വിശ്വാസം എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ക് പകര്ന് കൊടുതിട്ടുന്ടെന്ന്നാണ് എന്റെ വിശ്വാസം , ഭാവിയിലും അങ്ങിനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യും .
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ അടുത്തുള്ള latin പള്ളിയില്‍ ചെര്‍കുന്നു ccd യ്ക് . മറ്റു നിവര്തിയൊന്നും എന്റ്ഗെ മുന്‍പില്‍ കാണുനില്ല . ഞാന്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്ന കാലം ആരുടെ മുന്‍പിലും കൈ നീട്ടാതെ ജീവിക്കണം എന്നുള്ള ആത്മാഭിമാനം എനിക്കുള്ളതുകൊണ്ട്‌ ഞാന്‍ അമേരിക്കന്‍ പള്ളിയില്‍ പോവുകയാണ് .
നമ്മുടെ സിറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭ ഇവിടെ ചെയ്യുന്നത് അല്പം കടുപ്പമാണ് , പള്ളിയുടെ കുടിശിക അടക്കാന്‍ മനസ്സില്ലഞ്ഞിട്ട്ല പക്ഷെ സാമ്പത്തിക ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടായത് കൊണ്ടാണ് , അച്ഛന് സാദരം ക്ഷമിക്കുമല്ലോ , ലറ്റില്‍ പള്ളിയില്‍ എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ക് മൊത്തം $ 225 . കൊടുത്താല്‍ മതി , അവര്‍ക്ക് പള്ളിക്ക് ലോണ്‍ ഇല്ലാത്തതു കൊണ്ടായിരിക്കും.
എന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ അഭാവം നമ്മുടെ രൂപതയ്ക്ക് ഒന്നുമല്ല എന്നറിയാം ,കാരണം രൂപതയും പള്ളിയും ഒക്കെ പ്രമാനികല്കുള്ളതാണ് സാധാരണക്കാരായ സിറോ മലബാര്‍ വിസ്വസികല്‍ക്കുല്ലതല്ല എന്നുള്ള യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യം, ഞാന്‍ പണ്ടേ മനസിലാക്കണ്ടാതയിരുന്നു . പക്ഷെ വിശ്വാസം അത് ആര്‍ക്കും എന്നില്‍ നിന്നും പറിച്ചു എടുക്കുവാന്‍ പറ്റില്ല . വിശ്വാസം അതെല്ലേ എല്ലാം ,

Rise Up, Fellow Syro-Malabar Catholics, Save Our Church from the Rising Tide of Gadhafi’s and Anti-Christs – Tom Varkey
In Titus 1:7 we read: "An elder must be blameless and a steward of God ..." According to this verse from the Word of God, the kind of life that a priest should lead should be exemplary to the parishioners as he is expected to be blameless in everything he does. He may not be perfect in everything he does, but he is supposed to try his best to do everything in his reach to be innocent and honest in everything he does. Unfortunately, we see a lot of dishonesty in our Syro-Malabar priests in the sense that they tell lie after lie from the pulpit and they seldom practice what they preach from the pulpit. If what I hear through this blog is any indication, Fr. Antony is a typical example of such a crop of priests that has descended on the landscape of the U. S. Syro-Malabar Church like a swarm of pestering locusts as they descended on Egygt during the time of Moses. It often makes me wonder how we have reached this pathetic state of affairs in the Syro-Malabar Church. My strong recommendation to Fr. Antony and all the clergy in the Syro-Malabar Church (including our Bishop Angadiath as well as all the priests such as Fr. Varghese in Coppell and Fr. Joji in Garland) is to create a new image for the Syro-Malabar Church hierarchy in the Chicago Diocese. The people are losing respect for you and our bishop to a level that is so low that it is almost beyond redemption even as we speak. When this happens, the flocks find it hard even to believe any more what they say from the pulpit and the whole church gets a black eye. It also brings disgrace to the whole church and to Jesus Christ Himself whom you claim to serve.
In Titus 1:16 we read: “They profess to know God, but by their actions, they deny Him and they have become abominable and unfit for doing anything good.” Our Bishop may boast that the number of parishes and missions in our Diocese have increased during the past 10 years that he has administered the Syro-Malabar Diocese. But unfortunately we have not become better Christians and the Syro-Malabar hierarchy is setting bad example after bad example to their flocks instead of being exemplary models for them to imitate. They have totally forgotten what Jesus has commanded each Christian to be: ‘the salt of the earth and light of the world’. I cannot over-emphasize the importance of our church hierarchy raising the bar on their conduct so that they can once again restore credibility among the flocks which have been demoralized by the conduct of our priests. The imposition of the idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ which I am convinced is the single most reason for the maladies within the whole Syro-Malabar Church today has become their only preoccupation today. Jesus said, by the fruits you shall know the tree. The idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ sure has produced a huge mountain of bitter and disgusting fruits that has poisoned the entire Syro-Malabar Church in the U.S. for the past several years.

After the Syro-Malabar Church in the U.S. has embarked on the policy of imposing the ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ , we have seen corruption and scandals among our priests that has reached such an abysmal level that has been unprecedented in the history of the whole Syro-Malabar Church. I do add my voice to the chorus of the Syromalabarvoice Blog in requesting the Bishop to resign for the better future of the entire Syro-Malabar Church in the U.S. I cannot be more emphatic here while I say this. Also the Bishop should call off Fr. Koruth after asking him to stop his sanctuary drawings which he is working on in the Garland Church. He is causing irreparable damage to the Syro-Malabar community in the Garland Church community. Fr. Joji has truly become a Qadafi-style dictator in the Garland Church and most of the parishioners in the Garland Church will admit it in a heartbeat. From what I hear, his true match is Fr. Antony in the Cathedral Church in Chicago. With the heavy-handed policy of imposing the idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’ across the U.S. Syro-Malbar Church, the Gadhafi-style administrative style has spread throughout the entire Syro-Malabar Church in the U.S.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop there. It gets even worse when you consider the fact that the administrative style of the U.S. Syro-Malbar Church is fast becoming the administrative style of the Anti-Christ described in the Bible. In Daniel 11 we see the leading characteristics of the administrative style of the Anti-Christ. The four characteristics stand out here which when looked closely we can see that the Syro-Malabar hierarchy seems to be fast adopting . The first two characteristics are absolute autocracy totally disregarding the feelings and the welfare of the parishioners and secondly pride of such magnitude that priests like Fr. Saji in Garland and Fr. Antony in Chicago display an attitude of total arrogance which cannot be questioned by anyone in the parish. The third characteristic is: blasphemy represented by the absolute willy-nilly attitude of the Chicago Syro-Malabar Church hierarchy to replace the Crucifix with the idolatrous ‘Mar Thoma Cross’. And the fourth is perversion represented by the hell-bent determination of the Syro-Malabar hierarchy to disregard the age-old traditions of displaying the Crucifix in our churches against the directives of the Synod and the Pope and the integration of Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation in the Syro-Malabar Church which has never been done within the traditions of the Catholic Church in its thousands of years of history.
Friends, with each passing day, it is becoming more and more scary. Our church hierarchy is becoming more and more like Anti-Christ in their administrative style. And the latest sign of this is the insistence of the Chicago Cathedral parish to register the children for CCD classes only through the Internet. Remember what we read in the Book of Revelation that we will not be able to buy anything without the mark of the beast during the time of Anti-Christ? The way things are moving in the wrong direction, we Syro-Malabar Catholics better fight for the faith of our fathers shedding even our every drop of blood if that is what it takes. Because as we read in Eph. 2:8: “We are saved by grace through faith” and our faith is in serious danger. Rise up and hold on to your Crucifix and go after Satan who is raising its ugly head through more and more detestable ways within our U.S. Syro-Malabar Church today. It is a matter of our own spiritual survival. So let us go after the enemies of our faith like a tsunami empowered by the Spirit of Chirst. Remember, He who is in us is mightier than the one in the world [and the spirit of the Anti-Christ that seems to be taking over our Syro-Malabar Church today](1 Jn. 4:4).
