Our church building project never stops, as we are the church, which is our own body, which needs to be spiritually built every day. Many among us are suffering, in particular financially. Our parish Council on whom we rely on: the priest, Trustee and council members, are deceiving us.
Last time around, when the West Valley people (good people, god bless them) proposed buying a church around the same place, the East Valley people vehemently opposed and now, as the East Valley people are gearing up to buy a new church everyone is keeping quiet, including the west valley, for many reasons. Among the current parish council, many people are selling and deposing their own houses for the want of money, jobs and over-time, but they have no problem in burdening other people in buying the church. They are not being practical. The parishes in the local Dioceses are cutting and laying of people in the parish as they have seen their income diminished. The non-Catholics are renting places to conduct service as their pocket are emptying through the lack of job.
Then why are we jumping to buy a place for a new church? Is it not to fulfill someone’s pride and selfish agenda?
Let me ask you this: Was another place or another offer was mentioned in the church or are they even looking for it? Did they ask anyone's opinion? Was there a vote by the people who are to contribute to the church funds? If I ask this, whatever money I gave to get to the inner circle of the church, will be lost. I have paid all my dues so that people in the church would accept me. But if I dare say negative things about church-buying I will be an out-caste. Were not the estimate given in the church half truth?
The account that was presented in the church is a lie. The place proposed is not a right place for a church, especially for a Syro-Malabar church. The pride of the council members are so immense, they want to boast that they bought the church, without any other consideration. All of us know this place is," a ghetto". We do not have a regular income, not enough, to maintain the place. We cannot afford it. Priest will come and go... we, the faithful are stuck. But believe me, Jesus will show you a way, place and time, if He really wants a church for us. So think again faithful people. I am rooting for the church and if God willing, we will have a beautiful church. But not this one.

Dear Friends in Christ,
Our New Major Archbishop His Beatitude Mar George Alencherry is visiting Canada on October 22nd, 23rd of this year. He will visit only Toronto this time. An official reception will be extended to His Beatitude during his visit in Canada. He is only two days in Toronto then goes back to Chicago and later to India.
We have received an official invitation from H.E. Bishop Mar. Jacob Angadiath, to send a delegation to Toronto to meet our Major Archbishop and extend our gratitude and appreciation during his visit. The programme of Major Archbishop includes celebration of Eucharist, Lay Leaders meet, and a Priests conference and official reception.
We are planning to send a three member official delegation as described below:
Fr. Sajo Puthussery will lead the delegation as the Director of the community
The second member will be from the present church committee
The third member shall be from the community at large
In order to decide about the member from community ( third member), let Fr. Sajo know if you are interested to be part of this delegation. Yes if you are interested please give a call to Fr. Sajo ASAP, not later than next Sunday Holy Mass (October 2nd) and from those names we will pick one name in a draw after the Holy Mass.
The minimum expenses for the trip will be met from the common church fund.

Please take a look at this ശവപരംപ് or junk yard in the google map. No one has told us if the place is good and safe. It is not safe definitely. How old is the building, do we have to do the construction over all again.
Buy says Chicago, but as soon as it is bought they will say rebuild it since it is old, and it not upto the par with our traditional church and then where will you go for the money?

I have a policy and if you can not respect it,I cannot support you. I am a council members,at least give me that respect. If you do not, I will be agaist you harder.
Church buiding matters are to be discussed only in the council and not in the general body. If that is the case nothing will happen. So council will plan you just go along with it and pay up. You do not need much experince or advise from other people and it is not needed see or follow what happended to others or other church. we can do it, Achen will visit more and more people will come, so just be patient and just do what you are told, The place may be "junk yard" but that is all we can afford.

I have a question. How registed family members do we have? Not the one in the parish book,but in actuality? Does every one pay? Is there a place that I can find it? Church is a non profit entity and so the book should be open to all so the the IRS status can be continued and once a year it should be published to its members. I hope the council knows it.
So how much money do have now? How much money go every month where? Any money taken for travel expense? Do we give money for the visiting priest and for their air travel? etc
For the people who are reading this. couple of us went at night several times, and stayed, but we did not hear any sound or noice. have not seen anything bad. Surely, there was Mexican cars with loud music one in while,but it is a safe place. Bisides, our achen said he does not mind the sound of bullets and he is happy to stay there. I was told that we just gave offer and nothing more. We may get it or may not, we will pay the money just for the place as you call it a junk yard so do not worry. we still have chace, is that correct?
A friend of mine who moved out of Laveen told me that he moved out because the "people" there are doing the vandalism breaking the windows, and paintiing etc
But it is good I told him, we can buy the land for cheap and instead of building a rectory for the priest let us buy a rectory, since house in Laveen cost only 60-70 thousand dollars. But if the rectory is build it may cost almost 200 thousand. Think about it, let the buy the plot cheap and then buy a house for rectory.
Forget the baseline killer, it is just a myth.

As you have pointed out, yes there is still east valley and West valley and then there are small groups. If you want find our the truth in what I am telling, next sunday please goes to church and see how people are sitting. All west valley sits in the South side and East valley sits in the North side, why is that?

There are two conspiracy theories, I hear are going around,
can you or anyone tell me which one is true.
First, the East Valley council members are rooting for the Church
in Phoenix, because once a church bought at the center, in Phoenix, chicago can not ask East Vally to build another church, or there will be two churches; one in the East and another in the West.
Second one. The prices for the houses in Laveen are going down and the people there are losing good malayalee neighbors, whereas Gilbert people are getting more malayalee people, and if a church is build in Laveen then there will be a more malayalee immigration and not mexicans, true.

There was time when we accused the AZMCC for doing things without consulting everyone, then one day the religious fanatics took over the service of the church, splitiing the community into two.
And now after all these, once again the spirit of AZMCC going on, that is to say "some people" deciding what is good for whole community as if the money belongs to them.
