കൊച്ചി: സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയുടെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച്ച്‌ ബിഷപ്പും എറണാകുളം-അങ്കമാലി അതിരൂപതയുടെ ആറാമത്തെ അധ്യക്ഷനുമായ ഡോ. മാര്‍ ജോര്‍ജ്‌ ആലഞ്ചേരി കര്‍ദ്ദീനാള്‍ സ്‌ഥാനത്തേക്ക്‌ . ഫെബ്രുവരി 18ന്‌ വത്തിക്കാനില്‍ സ്‌ഥാനാരോഹണം നടക്കും. കര്‍ദ്ദീനാള്‍ പദവിയിലെത്തുന്ന നാലാമത്തെ മലയാളിയും 10ാമത്തെ ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരനുമാണ്‌ മാര്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി. പ്രഖ്യാപനം വത്തിക്കാനിലും സഭയിലെ കൊച്ചിയിലെ ആസ്‌ഥാനത്തും നടന്നു.

None of these old churches ever have had any type of mar-thoma (Manichaean cross). However many of them have had a sleeba cross and not in the holy altar to replace the crucifix. This proves that our syro Malabar church is now re-inventing cross to form a wired look by inserting a bird and it stand on a lotus flower which was originally the Manichean magic to attract the Buddhist which then destroyed the Christian faith from the Asian continents. There is a big difference between mar-thoma (Manichean cross) and the sleeba cross.
The sleeba cross represents the 12 disciples also in the form of cloves (4*3=12) and the sleeba cross is never on top of a lotus flower and there is no descending bird on it. Now in the modern age, the Syro Malabar church need to focus on bible based faith teaching and need to abandon the mar-thoma cross from every church and transfers thoma-sleeha’s deep faith in the Lord to our future generations. The church need to be centered on Jesus Christ and disciples never ever be considered as the corner stone.
