In connection with the on-going Syro Malabar Synod at St. Thomas Mount at Kakkanad, Kochi, the American Syro Malabar Catholics under the leadership of Tom Varkey, President of Jesus Army Ministries, Inc. an evangelistic and non-Profit Corporation operating from Dallas, Texas put up a spectacular and impressive protest rally at Kakkanad at the entrance of the Syro Malabar Curia.
The objective of the protest meeting was to highlight and convey to the Syro Malabar Archiepiscopy hierarchy located at St. Thomas Mount the feelings of the Syro Malabar Catholics in the U.S. who have been denied the right to place the Crucifix in their churches in the U.S. The protest meeting followed the press conference held at the Press Club of Ernakulam on the previous day during which Biju Thomas and Tom Varkey spoke. They answered many questions from the press about the pathetic condition of the U.S. Syro Malabar Church in the U.S. in the face of the denial of even the basic rights which were granted under the 1998 Syro Malabar Synod Meeting.
During the protest meeting, all the participants in unison with the organizers once again reiterated their position that any future attempt on the part of anyone including the Syro Malabar leadership in Chicago to install the Manikayan Cross otherwise known as the Mar Thoma Cross will not be tolerated at any of the Syro Malabar churches in the U.S. including Chicago and Garland, TX. They unequivocally vowed that only the traditionally venerated Crucifix will be permitted to be placed in the sanctuary in all the Syro Malabar churches in the U.S.
Hundreds of believers displaying various placards and banners participated in the protest. They protested the current situation in the U.S. whereby the Mar Thoma Cross is being ramped down the throats of unwilling Syro Malabar Catholics living in the U.S. against their will and in direct violation of the Synod decisions taken by the 1998 Synod. They vowed to fight the Caldeanization tactics of the Chicago Syro Malabar leadership at all costs fighting it tooth and nail including consideration of going to the U.S. court. The meeting unanimously asserted that they have every legal rights to go to the court if pushed far enough as it is illegal to discriminate them by denying the rights currently enjoyed by the Synod Hierarchical leadership centered at Kakkanad and Ernakulam where ONLY the Crucifix is placed with NO MAR THOMA CROSS placed anywhere in their churches or chapels.
The protest meeting was called a Grand Success by everyone by all definitions and by all standards. At this juncture, we have no words to express the priceless assistance and moral support provided by a number of priests in Kerala including Rev. Fr. Edassery who was in the U.S. for more than 15 years, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thaliyan and Rev. Fr. Joseph Vylikodath. You never know: Rev. Bishop Angadiath may not know the difference between the Crucifix and the Mar Thoma Cross completely. So it may be necessary to explain the difference to him. The following information may make him understand the difference between the crucifix and Mar Thoma Cross well. So Rev. Bishop Angadiath is asked to read the following innformation.
When I read about the crucifix and Mar Thoma Cross, I remember the story of the donkey on which Jesus traveled to Jerusalem. We read in the Holy Bible, Luke 19:33-40
35. So they (the disciples) brought it (the donkey) to Jesus, threw their cloaks over the donkey, and helped Jesus to mount.
36. As he rode along on the donkey, the people were spreading their cloaks on the road;
37. and now as he was approaching the slope of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of his disciples began to praise God aloud with joy for all the mighty deeds they had seen.

The donkey, on which Jesus rode, thought that the crowd was singing Hosanna and other praises to the donkey. So the donkey was so happy, proud & told other donkeys when he went to Jerusalem, a big crowd was singing Hosanna & other praises to the donkey. The other donkeys did not believe it. So the donkey asked the other donkeys to go with him to show it in the next week, on the same day and in the same time. While other donkeys were watching, the donkey went through the same way among and through the people. The people shouted at the donkey and beated him to go away from their way. We know obviously the donkey was shameful and sad. THOSE MAR THOMA CROSS SUPPORTERS ALSO SHOULD STOP BELIEVING TO “THIS DONKEY” IN THE STORY. They should understand the crowd was singing Hosanna and other praises to Jesus not to the donkey. Jesus was riding on the donkey, that is why the crowd was singing Hosanna and other praises to Jesus, not to the donkey. Without Jesus on its back, donkey was beaten and pushed away from the crowd.

In the above verse 19. Peter (who was the first Pope) was given such a great position and great authority in Heaven. But when Peter was against God’s will, Jesus called & said to Peter “GET BEHIND ME SATAN”. It does not matter how great and noble any person is, when that person go against God’s will, God will tell the same commandment to that person. So all the concerned! be wise. Believe cross without Jesus, is a curse and will have to undergo sufferings as the donkey without Jesus on it did.

We request Tom Varkey and his army to invade Archbishop's House in Changanacherry and send Mar Powthil in exile. This can be done very easily using some quotation groups. Now is the right tome to do this becuse LDF Government will help to achieve this. Our enemy and LDF's enemy is the same person. UDF leader Oommen Chandy won't do anyhing because he is Mar Powthil's student. Also we request the Synod to remove Mar Powthil from the Chairmanship of Inter Church Council. No Mar Thoma Cross, No Viri, No Compromise … The Battle Goes on

In an earlier article, we saw how the Mar Thoma Cross is Satanic based on the Word of God. Here we are going to see how the Veil or the Viri advocated by the Mar Thoma Cross Catholics is Satanic also based on the Word of God.
1. In Hebr. 9:1-8 we read that in the Old Covenant, only the priests entered the first room of the Sanctuary called the Holy Place. Again we read here that only the high priest was allowed to enter the Most Holy Place or the Holy of Holies where God met with him and with him only. There were strict conditions for the high priest to enter the Holy of Holies. First of all, he could do it only once a year and then secondly, he had to carry with him animal blood which he offered for his own sins and the sins of the people. The Most Holy Place was off limits for the people who gathered in the temple for worship.
Jesus, by His death on the cross opened the Holy of Holies and made it available to each worshiper under the New Covenant who wants to worship God. Even though only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies under the Old Covenant, under the New Covenant Jesus has entitled every worshiper to enter the Holy of Holies not with animal blood but with the most sacred and holy blood of Jesus Himself. He has purchased this right for us at an immense price – by dying on the cross for us.
Now the advocates of the Mar Thoma Cross want to take away this right which God has given us by installing the abominable veil. In other words, they want to separate us from God. If this is not Satanic, what else is?
2. In Lk. 23:45 we read that the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom upon Jesus’ death on the cross. God the Father let this happen to symbolize the fact that when Jesus died, the priest and the faithful who used to be totally separated until that day were brought together as one body. From that day on, there is little difference between the role of the priest who offers the sacrifice and the role of the faithful who also participate in the offering of the sacrifice along side with the priest. They have forgotten what God tells us in 1 Pet. 2:9: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God …” – not just the priests but each one of us.
The advocates of the Mar Thoma Cross want to remove us from the Holy of Holies by reinstating the curtain which God the Father Himself tore from top to bottom to give us this right. In Rom. 8:35 Paul asks: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” Well, today we are adding one more to the list – No Mar Thoma Cross or Viri shall separate us from the love of Christ or from the Holy of Holies symbolized by the Crucifix. We should not allow anyone to take away from us our right to enter the Holy of Holies no matter what the cost or no matter how long we have to fight. Although it came to us free, it cost our Savior His life to buy it for us. As we read in Jer. 20:11, “the LORD is with us like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail.” Let this assurance from the LORD be our inspiration as we march towards Garland to reinstate the Crucifix at the center of the Sanctuary of this Syro Malabar Church. May God bless all of us in this battle as He Himself will fight for us like a mighty warrior.”
