ഇന്ന് പള്ളിയില്‍ ചെന്ന് കയറിയ പാടെ അന്തം വിട്ടു പോയി. ലോബിയുടെ ഇടതുവശത്തായി, പൊങ്ങച്ചക്കാരുടെ പേര് ഇല രൂപത്തില്‍ കൊത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള ആല്‍ മരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലായി ചെറിയ ഒരു സ്റ്റാള്‍ . ഏതോ അറബി ഹോളി ലാന്‍ഡില്‍ നിന്നും കൊണ്ടുവന്ന വിശുദ്ധ രൂപങ്ങള്‍ വില്‍ക്കുവാനായി പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. 
വിവിധ ഇനത്തിലും, രൂപത്തിലും, വലുപ്പത്തിലുമുള്ള ക്രൂസിഫിക്സുകള്‍ . കൊന്തകള്‍ . കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ മുള്‍മുടി ധരിച്ച പീഡാനുഭാവത്തിന്റെ കൊത്തു രൂപങ്ങള്‍ . എല്ലാമുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശു മാത്രം കണ്ടില്ല.
എങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ ഇടവകാധികാരികള്‍ക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു വീഴ്ച പറ്റി? എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശില്ലാത്ത ഒരു കളക്ഷന്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ വില്‍പ്പനക്ക് നാര്‍ത്തെകസില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ അധികാരികള്‍ അനുമതി കൊടുത്തു? ആരാണ് ഈ കൊടും പാപത്തിനു ഉത്തരവാദി? ആരുടെ അനുമതിയോടെയാണ് ഇതുപോലെ ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശിനെ ശരിക്കും അവഹേളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു സംരംഭം അവിടെ ഇന്ന് നടന്നത്? ഇതിനു ഉത്തരവാദികള്‍ ആയവര്‍ മാതൃകാപരമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടണം. കാര്‍മ്മികന്‍ മുതിര്‍ന്ന മടത്തിപ്പറമ്പില്‍ . സഹനടന്‍ തുണ്ടന്‍. കൈക്കരന്മാരുടെയും പുതിയ പാരിഷ് കൌണ്‍സില്‍ അംഗങ്ങളുടെയും സത്യ പ്രതിജ്ഞയായിരുന്നു ഇന്നത്തെ ആകര്‍ഷണം.

ആദ്യം കൈക്കാരന്മാരുടെ സത്യ പ്രതിജ്ഞയായിരുന്നു. വിശുദ്ധ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തില്‍ കൈവച്ചു പ്രതിജ്ഞാ വാചകം ഏറ്റു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ എവിടെയോ ഏതോ ഒരു സ്വവര്‍ഗ വിവാഹത്തിനു സാക്ഷിയാകുന്ന പോലെ തോന്നി. വികാരിയച്ചന്റെ തീരുമാനങ്ങള്‍ അതേപടി നടപ്പാക്കുമെന്ന് അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു "സത്യം" ചെയ്യിച്ചു.
അടുത്തത്‌ പാരിഷ് കൌണ്‍സില്‍ അംഗങ്ങളുടെ ഊഴമായിരുന്നു. പന്ത്രണ്ടു വാര്‍ഡുകള്‍ ആണ് ഇവിടെ ഉള്ളതെങ്കിലും ഒരു ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു പേരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു പ്രതിഞ്ഞാ എടുക്കാന്‍ . പ്രതിജ്ഞ എടുക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല, അതെഴുതി ഒപ്പിട്ട കടലാസ് കാര്‍മ്മികനെ ഏല്‍പ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. വികാരിയെ അനുസരിക്കും എന്നാണു കടലാസില്‍ . ഇടവകക്കാരും അവരുടെ താല്‍പ്പര്യവും മൂഞ്ച്!
പാര്‍ക്കിംഗ് ലോട്ട് പണിയാന്‍ പണം വേണം. അതായിരുന്നു അറിയിപ്പിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന അറിയിപ്പ്. ചിത്രാ പരിപാടി നടത്തി പാര്‍ക്കിംഗ് ലോട്ടിനും ഗ്രോട്ടോക്കും വേണ്ട പണം സമാഹരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നായിരുന്നു മുമ്പുള്ള അറിയിപ്പ്. രണ്ടു ലക്ഷത്തി അമ്പതിനായിരം ഡോളര്‍ അതിനു വേണ്ടി സമാഹരിച്ചു വച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടത്രേ! അതായിരുന്നു കേട്ടുകേള്‍വി. അന്ന്. ഇപ്പോള്‍ അച്ഛന്‍ പറയുന്നു ഫാമിലി ഒന്നുക്ക് ഒരു മുന്നൂറു ഡോളര്‍ പാര്‍ക്കിംഗ് ലോട്ട് പണിയാന്‍ കൊടുക്കണമെന്ന്. അത് കേട്ട് അച്ഛനെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്ത ബിജി മാണിയെ അദ്ദേഹം അടിച്ചിരുത്തി.
കറങ്ങിത്തിരിഞ്ഞു ക്ലാസ് മുറികളുടെ അടുത്തു ചെന്നപ്പോള്‍ ആണ് അത് കണ്ടത്. ഏത്? കാമെറ. താഴയും മോളിലും മുട്ടിനു മുട്ടിനു ക്യാമെറ. പടച്ചോനെ! ഈയുള്ളവന്റെ അന്തം വിട്ടുപോയി. CCD ക്ലാസിന്റെ മുമ്പിലും ക്യാമെറകളോ?

ക്യാമറ പിടിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പത്തു പതിനയ്യായിരം ഡോളറിന്റെ കോണ്ട്രാക്റ്റ് പോയത് ഒരു കൈക്കാരന്‍ പ്രമാണിയുടെ വേണ്ടപ്പെട്ടവനായിരുന്നു എന്നുള്ളത് വെറും ആകസ്മികം മാത്രം ആയിരുന്നു എന്ന് വിശ്വസിച്ചു ആശ്വസിക്കാം.

Last year ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു അനുഭവം എഴുതുന്നു. Sreenivasan OR നെടുമുടി യുടെ ഏതെന്ന്‌ ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നില്ല. ഒരു Church പ്രോഗ്രാം ആയിരുന്നു. VIP ടിക്കറ്റ്‌ ആയിരുന്നത് കാരണം program organizers എസ്കോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തു front row seat ല്‍ ഇരുത്തി. ചില ഡാന്‍സ് കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ കോളേജ് ല്‍ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് കുട്ടുകരുമായ് എറണാകുളത് ഉള്ള Oberoi Bar & Restaurant ല്‍ ( not Oberoi Holet) കാബറെ കാണുന്ന പ്രതീതി, ഇവിടെ കുറച്ചു light കൂടുതല്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഞാനും ഭാര്യയും മാത്രം ആയിരുന്നെകില്‍ OK, പക്ഷെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ teenage കുട്ടികള്‍ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കുടികളോട് പള്ളിയിലും, പള്ളി പരിപാടികും പോകുമ്പോഴു sleeveless dress ഇടരുതേ modest ആയി dress ചെയ്യണം എന്ന് പറയുന്ന ഞങ്ങള്‍, പള്ളിക്കാര്‍ ഇതു കാണിച്ചാല്‍ എന്ത് പറയാനാ. നാട്ടില്‍ പെരുന്നാളിന് ഇതു പോലെ ഡാന്‍സ് കാണിച്ചാല്‍ അടി മേടിക്കും

So Are We Ready for a 200K Parking Lot and 150K Grotto? May be NOT for this price tag.
Last Sunday, Fr Antony has ordered/requested to collect $300 a piece on the future parking lot.
I have strong disagreements with the following two projects from the church with a huge price tag
1. 52 Parking Lots with an aprox cost of 200K.
2. Groto – 130K new addition to the 10Mil church
My view points and discussions follow. You decide….what’s right.
In USA or most of the places, if there is an authentic project, authority normally publish the basic details such as required budget, expected cost and needed amount for the completion of the project. Also they will have a dashboard of the project status. Whereas in Syro Malabar, as usual another “collection notice” without any project details other than Fr Antony’s short “Money Requirement Description”.
Acha, this analysis is not against the church. We want to do good things and would like to be part of good acts. You are behaving with some people’s dumb acts, which are costing every person’s financial stability. We are forced to GIVE and we are simply silent because we are AFARID of GOD and priests. Please DO NOT capitalize our scariness because it’s a SIN abusing God’s power
Do you ever think how much we spend to be in the Syro Malabar Church
As the latest - For the new parking lot- $300 from each family- And always the authority says – It’s JUST $300.
It’s the $300 for park lot + It’s the $300 for Xmas collection + It’s the $10 per week - $520 in total minimum for church per year , It’s 5K minimum for the church building fund. It’s the MAXIMUM of all minimums. And the expected round cost to come to our church is more than $1200 per year. My cost is $1500 plus per year to be in the church.. because for me, there are other collections too. And the gas costs more than $15 to be there up and down to Hellwood.

Pledge from Each Family - $300
Total Families - 1000+ Registered
Expected Amount - $300K plus
There was an event in 2010 where church collected 275K and many people spent $300 on that event (Singer Ms. Chithra and Team performed for Syro Malabar Fund Raising Event). And the amount and project retainee was there in the Pothuyogam too.. On who watches all.. After all it’s past 2010 and let’s move on ..Right?

What's the expected cost and How much sq ft you are planning to build? Why is this so expensive to collect $300 each? I guess you are not building any buildings.. It’s just concrete on the back yards of “Expensive Houses you bought earlier for Parish Priests’ to live”
Part 2
1. Many of us have parking lots in our home. A 300 SqFt (2 Car Garage +) - Building a Concrete Driveway costs $3000 max. With the estimate, a max of 75K is reasonable. Why don’t you open up the tenders to public. Many of us people know this kind of private builders, who can complete the task within 50% less cost than you predict (Under 100K). But the problem is – the authority NEVER even give a chance to the public. As an added note, Fr Antony always tells – You can come to me or approach Trustees with any opinions. A bunch of jokers claiming to be closer to church, who act as designers and self claim to be Mikle Angelo. And they will listen to you.. Acha – If you preach, please be open to positive suggestions too…
Note: Oh.. I fogot…May be the church is planning to put Granite in the new parking lot too? That's why the cost is high as 200K.
2. What happened to the already collected 275K during the 2010 year?
Next Grotto spending - 130K
Mr Jomon Chirayil, theold and new trustee avatar has designed the new Groto and the cost will be 130K. Earlier there was another goofy avatar who designed a wall behind Mother Mary as grotto and now it’s getting replaced by Jomon’s creation. I like Jomon but I don't understand where did he get this design skills?
Fr Antony + Fr Shasseri – I am not worthy to advice you both. But, we have lost trust in all actions the Diocese is doing and what’s happening in our surroundings. So IF YOUR INTENTIONS ARE CORRECT AND IF YOU WANT TO DO GOOD – Please do the following. This way “Nobody will come to criticize you for any wrong doings”
I know you may not be an expert in the financial skills and design skills. But please be open up to the public to seek skills. And if you think you have a set of people to get this done- YOU ARE DEAD WRONG”. All you have got is a set of jokers who cannot even open their mount because they are TOO SCARED of GOD.
Ask for volunteers who are interested in joining the creation of these new projects.
Call for a Mini PothuYogam to discuss the details of Parking Lot and Grotto –Ask and Answer to the public – Why are you always hiding and do the things behind the curtain and still projects as if there is nothing happening. The general public is interested in Parkign Lot and Grotto the same way you are demanding money.
Ask for designs from the grotto builders. Jomon Chirayil and Roy Thachil – Please stop acting as illiterate designing fools, Please stop your grotto designs right now. Your actions will save a minimum of 50K to the church. Get help from the builders and get the designs from them.
Open up the bid to the public builders for parking lot building. I bet the cost will be less than 100K. If you spend a dime above that, you are doing injustice to the church.
Grotto – The construction should be under 75K. We are not building any house here. After all it’s a creation with rocks and small outside place to stand and pray. It does not need anything above 75K.
You find the people who can build grotos and ask them the favorable designs. It's like Roy Thachil and Jomon the "trusted" trusties who does not have absolute knowledge about "Groto Design" design some stuff... And the builder need to accommodate this "Trustees" wildest visions. No wonder it's costing 130K.
Tail Note: I know I am JUST writing and this willNOT be noticed. But there are a lot of people reading this and I am sure many of us will have the same mentality. If the authority does not notice this, then it is their arrogance and attitude. No matter what.. there are some people always there to pledge and they are the dumbest people on earth. So keep on milking the money from those. They will NEVER question also.. because .. it's against God's will.
