കാഞ്ഞിരപള്ളി മെത്രാന്‍ ഈ വൈദികനെ എവിടെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കും എന്നാണ് നാട്ടുകാര് ചോദിക്കുന്നത്.

Roshan, my answer is ‘Yes and No’. Let me explain myself. First, why do I say ‘Yes’? Because Our awesome God is a God of second chances. Just look at the second chance he gave to Jonah, Peter and David. As soon as Jonah made a decision to obey God, God went to work in the womb of the great fish. Suddenly, the whale felt nauseated and could not hold a repenting prophet in the person of Jonah. It went ashore and threw up – not anything else but the prophet who wanted to obey God even though the decision came rather late. Peter denied Jesus three times. But Jesus appeared to Peter soon after He appeared to Mary Magdalene because Jesus’ heart melts when somebody repents and takes a decision to turn back from the path of disobedience as Peter did. Then in the case of David -- he committed sin of adultery with Bethsheba and hid his sin for more than a year until Nathan told him “You are the man”. The words of the Prophet Nathan pierced the heart of David like a sharp sword and he wept for seven days continuously. God not only forgave him but made him the greatest king that ever lived on this earth. Now take the parable of the prodigal son. The father of the Prodigal son was waiting every day until he came back every day hoping that each day was going to be the great day when his son would return which finally arrived and the father prepared the greatest feast his household had ever seen to welcome back his son.
Now why do I say, ‘No’? For this let me take the example of Samson. God gave him several chances to turn away from his lust. Even though he saved Israel for 20 years from the philistines, finally he was so addicted to his sexual lusts that finally he fell for ever and the Spirit of the Lord returned from him even though he did not recognize it at the time the Spirit abandoned him. But still in the temple of Dagon, the Philistine god, God heard his prayer and sent His Spirit one final time in response to his prayer. As a result 3,000 Philistines were killed along with Samson himself. God has been giving several chances to our Syro-Malabar leaders like His Excellency Bishop Angadiath and Bishop Powathil. Still the ball is in their court. But God’s patience can run out at any time as it happened in the case of Samson and they may not even know it. I am not sure if this has already happened to our Syro-Malabar leaders. Any way let us pray for them. I hope they will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit telling them: “This is the acceptable time. Today is the day of salvation” before what happened to Samson happen to them. Let me conclude by saying a real story. Many of you may know that Zig Ziglar, the motivational speaker died this week. One of his close friends invited him for Thanksgiving dinner. But he promised him that he will come for Christmas. Well, his chance has been lost forever because Mr. Ziglar went to heaven for his eternal reward. So, my humble request to our church leaders and the ‘claver cross’devotees is: ‘Call it quits. Turn to the Crucifix and embrace the Savior before it is too late.’
By the way, glad to hear that Fr. Sasseril is disillusioned about his dreams that he built on the 'Mar Thoma Cross'. May God forgive him and give him a second chance to discover the Savior on the Crucifix.
Please bring them to Chicago syro-malabar bishop house. Just like the new chancellor, they can also hide in the basement.
Your article title is misleading. You present it as if Bishop Arackal has said that sentence. In reality it is just your opinion not his words.
Regarding the allegation against priests. I have no idea regarding the issue, I pray to God that it is false.But if there is a crime being committed the Government will deal with it. Why the laity should worry? If it is a violation of his vow of chastity, then Christ Jesus is the best judge. Let him make his judgement. Let us not cast the first stone.
