ഒന്നും തീരുമാനമായില്ല എന്നാണ് ഫാ. ജോജി ജനങ്ങളോട് പറയുന്നത്. തീരുമാനമാകാന്‍ എന്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഫാ. ജോജിയോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നത്. ഒരു കത്തോലിക്കാ പള്ളിയില്‍ ക്രൂശിത രൂപത്തിനല്ലാതെ മറ്റേത് കുരിശിനാണ് സ്ഥാനം? ഇതില്‍ ആലോചിക്കാന്‍ എന്തിരിക്കുന്നു, ചിന്തിന്ക്കാന്‍ എന്തിരിക്കുന്നു, തീരുമാനിക്കാന്‍ എന്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Some people from Irving are here who never contributed money here like Chirayi Raju (he never contributed anything to our church even when he was our accountant) and few cheaters, let them pay at least $10,000 first, not by promise but by check or cash.
Let all leaders of our church including immoral ones pay all the promised amount first before we the people start putting money in.

we have crusifix on the altar. on the right side of the statue of the risen Lord. we have no cross problem in chicago. when you guys are showering filthy words to the marthoma cross you are spiting to yourselves. this cross is the traditional cross of the syro malabar christian from centuries. those who curse at it because they or their forefathers were ignorent about their traditions. they might have had lots of latin influence on their lives. when we live among the latin rites just like we do now or they did in kerala we will lose our identity. ingnorance to the traditions is the first stage and fighting to them is the second stage. we do not want this to happen to us or our children and that is why we fought for the syro malabar diocese and clergy in US. i am not trying to glorify the marthoma cross over the crucifix. but think even when you call it ----cross, there is a cross in it!!!! you are cursing at a cross whether you like it or not. if we donot want our traditions here go and join the latin community and enjoy yourself. you know nothing about the traditions or the history of the syro malabar chritian (suryani chritians). whatever you say or write now, will not just be gone like that. you will have to pay the price. please do not think that i am advocating to put the marthoma cross at the center of the church. i love crusifix but i do not contempt or curse at the marthoma cross, just because it is cross and i have known it from my child hood as a symbol of the marthoma christians.

I have not seen Mar Thoma Cross in any of churchs other than Pala, Changanacherry and Kanjirapally from my childhood. Please understand why in other majority of the churchs Mar Thoma Cross is not installed. Imagine if we install Crusifix on the top of dome in the alter of Chicago Cathedral as a center piece after removing curtain ring how beautiful it would be. It would be hard to explain to other people who do not know Christ, how he was crucified if we simply show them Mar Thoma Cross. We are kissing Jesus Statue on the cross and not just cross. If we think we are respecting and kissing cross, we can very well kiss all Red Cross symbol and all the plus symbol we see all over the world. Instead of going back, move forward.

This so called mar thoma cross (in reality this is the manikyan cross) is the symbol cross of Syro malabar, as you said it is the one which tells the world we are Syros, but this cross is not worthy to be in the alter just a symbol, can be used as a paper weight just as we are putting it on top of our tables in alter.
If you really want to keep your traditions by looking at your roots, we all are Hindus then we may need sivalingum in altar too.

We have a very serious problem in Chicago, there is an unwanted cross in the Altar, that is the so called the mar-thoma cross. Why we need to elevate a man made creation to the level of creator and confuses the faithful and deviate them to another pegan stream. We are being called to bloom from the dirt, therefore show the good things to the world.
You came to the conclusion that since there’s cross on it, you accept the mar-thoma cross and equate to the crucifix? There are so many crosses floating around the world including a satanic cross and if you visit you local cemetery you can witness a couple of them. Even one of the oldest Asian (Indian sub continent once called BHART which were extended unto Burma and Malaysia) Swastika {su-asti-ka meaning to be good} also has a cross symbol on it. The same swastika (the Nazi symbol is also swastika) used to kill millions during Nazi`s time.
Again you mention that mar-thoma cross is historic? Yes, it is a historic cross; which has divided the church; it eliminated and rooted out faith from the entire Middle East which includes its origin country IRAQ, IRAN, AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN, ALL ARAB COUNTRIES, and TURKY ETC. Because of the satanic and evil influence of this pagan cross, we in India failed to reach out Christ until 1900s; the church failed outreach and expand beyond Bhrata Puzha in Kerala until 1900s and still fighting for its survival.
In conclusion any cross never makes the cross in a catholic Altar. Therefore before play with crucifix you are advised to council the Bishop and Chicago priests to cleanup the church from the lifeless recent statues first. As a Christian and primarily as devote Catholics we need to have only crucifix in an altar and init is everything.
Therefore refresh your mind with the biblical precepts of the cross, ask you spiritual advisor for help. If the priest is bible based then he never ever admit the mar-thoma cross. The mar thoma cross can be installed in the churchs office, but not in the Altar.
