- (Contributed by a reader) മാക്കില്‍ മെത്രാനെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയില്‍ നിന്നും 1911ല്‍ ഓടിച്ച വിവരം ഒരു ചരിത്ര സത്യമായി അവശേഷിക്കുന്നു . ഇയ്യിടെ പൊങ്ങി വരുന്ന ചില അപശബ്ദങ്ങള്‍ പല രീതിയിലും ചിന്താര്‍ഹമാണ് . ചിക്കാഗോ രൂപത മാര്‍പ്പാപ്പയുടെ നേരിട്ടുള്ള നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാണെന്ന് വരെ ചിലര്‍ പുലമ്പി തുടങ്ങി ...കഷ്ടം! ...കഷ്ടം! ..നമ്മുടെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭ മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച്ച് ബിഷപ്പിന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെതര സഭയായിട്ടാണ് ലോകത്തിലെ നാലു million വിശ്വാസികള്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. നമ്മുടെ ഇന്നത്തെ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയ്ക്ക് ആര്‍ക്കി എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പല്‍ പദവി കൊടുത്തതും ഇതേ മാര്‍പ്പാപ്പ തന്നെ . ഈ സഭയുടെ കീഴിലാണ് സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയുടെ ബിഷപ്പ് മാരുടെ സിനഡ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്. ആ സിനഡില് കൃത്യമായി നമ്മുടെ പിതാവ് പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നുമുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ അമേരിക്കന്‍ ബിഷപ്പുമാരുടെ കോണ്‍ഫെറന്‍സിന്റെ അംഗത്വവും നമ്മുടെ പിതാവിനുണ്ട്. അങ്ങിനെ രണ്ട് കാലും രണ്ട് സ്ഥലത്ത് ഒരേ സമയം വച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഭരണം നടത്തുന്ന ഈ ദ്വിമുഖ പ്രതിഭയുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തന ശൈലി അപാരം തന്നെ. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ കൂറ് എവിടെ ആണെന്നുള്ളത് അല്ല പ്രശ്നം. കേരളത്തിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി, പാലാ, കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ക്ളാവര്‍ കുരിശും ശീലയും അമേരിക്കന്‍ സീറോ മലബാര്‍ പള്ളികളില്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടെ അടങ്ങൂ എന്ന പിടി വാശിയാണ് പ്രശ്നം. ഓരോ പള്ളിയും ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതിന് മുന്പ് ഫണ്ടിന് വേണ്ടി കഴുതക്കാലും പിടിച്ചു ഫണ്ടും സ്ഥലവും പള്ളിയും കിട്ടിക്കഴിയുമ്പോള്‍ , പുറം കാലിന് തൊഴിച്ചു വിശ്വാസികളെ മുള്‍ മുനയില്‍ നിറുത്തി ഭരണം അടിച്ചേല്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നത് കഷ്ടം തന്നെ. സ്വന്തം കൂടെ നില്ക്കുന്ന ഏറാന്‍ മൂളികളായ കുറെ പാതിരിമാരും അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി ശിങ്കിടി പാടുന്ന ഏതാനും സെമിനാരി അവശിഷ്ടങ്ങളും പള്ളിയെയും പട്ടക്കാരെയും ആവഹിച്ചു അള്‍ത്താര വരെ കീഴടക്കി , മെത്രാനെയും പട്ടക്കാരെയും ക്ഷണിച്ചു വരുത്തി ഊണും കിടക്കയും കൊടുത്ത് സുഖിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വന്‍ നിര തന്നെ നമ്മുടെ രൂപതയില്‍ അഴിഞ്ഞാടുന്നുണ്ട് . നമ്മുടെ പിതാവ് മുതല്‍ രൂപതയുടെ ഭരണം കയ്യാളുന്ന എല്ലാ പട്ടക്കാരും ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ളവരുടെ ആതിഥേയം സ്വീകരിക്കാന്‍ അഹമഹംഇകയാ കുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ കൂട്ടര്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടത്ര ഏത് സൌകര്യവും ഏത് സ്ഥാനമാനങ്ങളും നല്‍കുവാനും , ഏത് ക്രയവിക്രയവും നടത്താന്‍ പള്ളിയും പരിസരവും പണവും വാരിക്കോറി കൊടുക്കുവാനും , ഏത് അഴിമതിക്ക് കൂട്ട് നില്‍ക്കുവാനും നമ്മുടെ സഭാധികാരികള്‍ തയ്യാറാണ്. ഈ കുള അട്ടകളെയും ഇത്തിള്‍ കണ്ണികളെയും വളര്‍ത്തിയെടുക്കുവാന്‍, വളരെ ഉല്‍സാഹവും കാണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ടാക്സ് വെട്ടിക്കുക , പള്ളിയുടെ ടാക്സ് ID ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സാധനങ്ങള്‍ വാങ്ങിക്കുക ,കള്ളക്കണക്കുണ്ടാക്കുവാന്‍ കൂട്ട് നില്‍ക്കുക മുതലായവ ഇവരുടെ ഒരു വിനോദമാണ്. ഈ പ്രവണത നമ്മുടെ എല്ലാ പള്ളികളിലും തുടര്‍ന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന് കൂട്ട് നില്‍ക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ലാഭ വിഹിതം അരമന രഹസ്യം പോലെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

We had gone thru so much mental torture for the last few months, just because of him!
This bishop forced us in to this.He divided us. It's really sad.

I am a true believer (At least I feel and I seriously think) in Catholic Church and Jesus. By seeing enacts of the Bishop and his Bishop House disciples, I feel kicking my own ass. Because I know the fact that I am helpless.
Facts
1. I am from Chicago with I do have some guts with real “Balls”
2. Bishop letter to Coppel can be in the “Funniest Letters” of USA 2010.
3. Coppel Residents are so dump and stupid for Bishop and Fr Roy Kaduppil.
4. Bishop believes true God can be seen via Designer Cross and Sheela. May God Bless him and I sincerely pray for him. After all that’s the only power I have to do anything against him.
We have asked so many questions via this Blog. It’s very transparent that the Bishop House is doing so many mysterious things and it’s raising so many eyebrows within the very own priests and among the church-goers. But it’s a fact that the “True Disciples’ do not want to raise their voice and bring so much attention because we all love peace and harmony and we do not like troubles at society and home. After all we all think “Why? Leave it and Forget it”.
Now let’s open a serious debate here and list out the things. And see how creatively we can react to the situation and bring out some results. Writing in the blog and reading it, Yes, it will give some satisfaction to our self and may be some relief. But it’s time to open a web protest forum where we can list the name, address and phone number of the person with his own permission. Now you may ask how? The site can have a donation box and we can pay towards the donation to fund the idea. May be one of the brave/true Coppel resident can lead the effort. It’s a suggestion.
2. If Bishop talk anything about Sheela and Claver, boycott the speech RIGHT there. I will do this and I am praying for that courage.
3. Write letters to Kerala Sinod, American Sinod and your own American Bishop in the area. The TRUE heat actually begins from there.
4. Bishop House payment requests – Humbly deny that and send back the letter with an anonymous explanation saying “Sorry. No more money for blunders
5. I’ve personally taken the decision. No more “Kissing The Bishop Ring”. I used to till 3 weeks back. No more.

I am a Chalakudikaren but what I mention is a fact not a joke. Almost every Sunday for some it is nice to see some scenes/dramas at the back of the church, some villans set up some plans and present at the stage (back of the church), the the people who direct the show stay away and watch the scenes. Now though late it is a good sign that people have started realising the facts - Achen comes and goes but the true faithfuls always stand for the church/those who want to stay strong always stand united. Arguments and counter arguments are good if one takes them in good spirit ie with an open mind to accept the good comments and ideas. We coppell people have wasted a lot of time supporting and opposing Achen and Chicago, it is high time to forgive and forget everything and stay united under the leadership and guidance of the new Achen.

Bishop said, gift money must be collect from public. It cannot be taken from building fund.
All the money in Coppell church's accounts were collected from public, including that in the chase account. You froze that account. So, when you thaw that account, you can move $15K from that account to the security account. Okay?
On that same point, that $20K gift for Fr. Xavier Khan was collected from people. Why are you refusing to give that money to Fr. Xavier Khan? People gave that money for Fr. Xavier, not his bishop. So, give it to Fr. Xavier Khan. Okay?
One more thing...
Since our bishop doesn't forward all money colled for said purposes, from now on, we should not give money to bishop or participate in special collections. This includes Holy Friday collections. It is supposed to be sent to Pope. So, send the money directly to Pope instead of dropping it in collection basket.

Indian churches may become as deserted as those in the West if Christian leaders fail to attend to the spiritual needs of people, says a priest who returned from a leadership program in the United States.
Father Anand Muttungal of Bhopal archdiocese in central India says Christian leaders should spend more time on people’s social and spiritual needs rather than on institutions.
Father Muttungal, also the spokesperson of the Catholic Church in Madhya Pradesh state, was speaking to journalists May 12 after his return from a three-week long US government-initiated leadership exchange program.
The priest was among three Indians in the program that ended May 7.
The Church in India should focus on serving people by “joining in their joys and sorrows” and not only on Church institutions, he said.
He told UCA News that many churches in the US are deserted.
The “non-participation” of the Church in the lives of people has “dented the image of the Church.”
“People gradually moved away. And they are practicing the faith in their own way,” he said.
He added that this phenomenon could also “creep into our system,” although the Church in India has a remarkable presence in social work, education and health care and is helping millions of Indians.
He said there is a danger of priests and nuns getting so involved in their institutions that they have little time to interact with people.
The focus on people and spirituality will also help the Church in India withstand the extremist attacks it now faces, he said. “Unless we develop a strong spiritual base, we cannot confront such attacks.”
The priest said the leadership exchange program helped him better analyze and understand the needs of the Church in India. It made him realize that “strong spirituality is the basis of a strong Church.”

Money is collected from public - but for a different purpose. It was collected for the building fund, not as a gift for Fr. Saji.
$20K fund for Fr.Xavier Vattayil was raised from public for him. So it should be given to him. Fr. Saji's gift also should have been raised the same way. -

It is the same people who donated the money into building fund that decided it is okay to take $10K from it and give to Fr. Saji as gift. That money was not donated by the diocese officials.
If I give you $10 to buy clothes for a poor man, you are supposed to use it for buying clothes for a poor man. Hoever, I have the right to authorize you to change the purpose from buying clothes to buying lunch for a poor child.
Yes, money is collected from people for various purposes. Does our Syro diocese in Chicago actually use that money for the said purposes? NO.
They collect money from every church on Good Friday. They say it is going to the Pope. Does even one cent get forwarded to Pope? NO.
Your favorite syro church collect money for visiting missionaries. Do they get all that money? NO.
Take a look at the 2008 statement from diocese. I don't need to list them out here. Read it yourself, understand it, then decide whether you still want to defend the frauds. -

how can any parish council can decide to give 20,000USD to Fr.Saji as a gift? Church fund is raised from parish council members ONLY? If not, how can they make the decision of giving such a huge gift for Fr.Saji? Can Fr.Saji can preside any such a parish council meeting after he received the transfer order from Bishop? Are you implying if Bishop house can make mistake, you can also ?
Then why are you blaming Bishop and crew ? and what is the difference between you two ?
Eg: A nurse is getting paid to do nurse's job not teacher's. If money is paid, it is definitely for a purpose.

My contribution was meant for BUILDING FUND, it was NOT A GIFT for anybody. If you want to give gift, give it from your pocket or have a separate collection. -

and our money was frozen because Bishop did that. Why? We all know the truth even though Bishop and his followers are still lying about. What we use our money for is nobody's business. Money was placed aside to renovate the altar and we did that! We also paid back Saji Achen money that he did not have to donate. So deal with it and get over it! Saji Achen meant alot to everyone is our church and we showed him how much we loved him. And the 10 people and thier families who had an issue with him, get over it, he's gone! You will no longer be a threat to anyone.

For your ino, we did n't have enough time to collect separate gift money for Fr Saji. If so, we would have collected much more than what Parish Council decided!
You should be glad! You have this reason to blame Fr Saji and Parish Council. What would you have done otherwise???
Oh well, if not this one, you can always make up something else.
For a moment, I forgot. If you could get such a holy priest fired against the wishes of 95%, how difficult for you to come up with some other fake allegations??

We all know; none of the people supporting Claver Kurishu and Sheela has any idea what this Claver stands for.
They don't even know; what to call this cross?, (marthoma or Claver or St. Thomas or thamara or Manickyan) nobody knows.
But they will support it anyway; because some of their bishops told them so and these people have no backbone to ask what is this cross stands for.
Holy Qurbana is about Jesus only.
Why the symbol Claver has to be in altar?
Trying to prove "our Bishop is very nice" then later asking everyone to obey him is a very nice trick.
We are not against Bishop, but we are protecting our faith in Jesus; Bishop is trying to protect his bosses (some Claver Kurishu bishops) back in Kerala.
Our Bishop has the obligation to say to all faithfull, Why this Symbol Claver Kurishu has to be in the altar at any time?
If he thinks this Claver is better than or similar to Cruciifix, then we may have to assume, he may have much bigger priorities than Jesus(ie Powethil God).

The only benefit I am seeing with these comments are just to create the feeling that they are powerful to make a change and give people who dont know what is happening the feeling that the world is going to end because of this blog.

Last week, I attended Chicago Cathedral. In the news letter it shows clearly that they got 3.5 million from people last year. Also church made more than 125K last year after paying all the expenses.
That gives the clear message that the church is getting money though this forum has been telling that people are cancelling payments.

Nice opinion Jose...Love more church then achen. if you really love achen, you have to contribute from your pocket not from church fund.Church fund is for the daily running of the church not to give huge gifts for achen. We are the ones who spoil all achens by giving lots of money to please him. We need to please him by praying for achens and through our spiritual growth. I would say any achen is good only when
1) The community grow spiritually 2) community lives in Love,peace and harmony
3) Community shares happiness and sadness together
4) Help the needy ones
5) Respect others like how you respect by yourself,your wife & Kids
Think about it. Are we still fighting for nothing? or are we still fighting for achen and Bishop? Ultimatly we are the ones who going to stay close each other and meet at least every sunday. -

Thank you #51. Great message. The main thing our community lacking is spirituality.That is why we fight over minor issues. Remember we fight each other in the name of God. Folks, Our mighty Lord don't like that. Especially at his house(Devalayam).Spirituality can change any person regardless of his background.(Education,Family background,Money,Personality,Culture,Job,Race,Etc...). As # 51 said we see each other every sunday at the house of Lord. Please don't make him(lord) sad.In this blog I see people are Arguing about who is right and who is wrong . We know only when we stay close to God. Until then we will keep fighting and Stay with wrong ideas and thinking. This truth is applied to not only Coppell church but all the churches. Church should be the place where we can find peace. We can make it happen only with help of God.

Church is not a place for diocese to make money. We go there to worship God. That is why we need a crucifix in the altar.
Now the great supporters of Bishop explain to me how firing the pastor of Coppell parish for installing crucifix is going to make the Coppell church a better place to worship God. -

Credibility of Bishop's house is Big Zero.
We need educated people in Bishop's house who atleast keep the minimum standard of email privacy.

They should understand this.Any Bishop will tell to obey the other Bishop.That is the comon understanding in between each Bishop.At the same time if there is an issue then they will advise the other Bishop to do the right thing. -
